Elders agent Jarryd Finch said nearly 9,000 were yarded at the Lameroo Annual Blue Ribbon Off Shears Sale.
Transcript
00:00We yarded, just short of 9,000 was in the end, exceptional sale, that full $100 figure got thrown around but we had $350 in our minds and obviously the tops of them at $390 was where we thought they should have been but I think that top runner ewes, that sort of first level of ewes sold very well where we thought they should be, you always want a bit more and then your second runs I thought they sold exceptionally well and then your run into your breeding ewes as well like your twos through to your fives which they all sold exceptionally well as well.
00:29I think people can see the value in them, they're good local mallee sheep and I think the five and a half, that was probably the outstanding bit.
00:36There was a range of buyers from the deep south east, you saw the elders in Mount Gambier were active again and then over into your Victoria like Birch and Rainbow all through there and then up in the hills a bit as well and locally as well so we had a good spread of bitters and Auctions Plus was pretty active too.
