'എന്തെരു തമാശയാണ് കേരളത്തിൽ നടക്കുന്നത്. കട്ടതല്ല കുഴപ്പം. കട്ടവരെ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിച്ചവർക്കാണ് കുഴപ്പം. അയ്യപ്പന്റെ വാതിൽ കൊണ്ടുപോയി, കട്ടളപ്പടി കൊണ്ടുപോയി, ദ്വാരപാലകാ ശിൽപം കൊണ്ടുപോയി. ഇനി അയ്യപ്പന്റെ തങ്കവി​ഗ്രഹം മാത്രമാണ് ബാക്കി ഉളളത്. കോടതി ഇടപെട്ടില്ലായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ അതുകൂടി അടിച്ചുമാറ്റുമായിരുന്നു ഈ കള്ളന്മാര്'. രൂക്ഷ വിമർശനവുമായി പ്രതിപക്ഷ നേതാവ് വിഡി സതീശൻ. “What a joke is happening in Kerala. The trouble lies with those who exposed the culprits. They took away Lord Ayyappa’s door, the steps, and even the guardian deity statue. Now, only the golden idol of Ayyappa remains. If the court hadn’t intervened, these thieves would have destroyed that too,” said opposition leader V. D. Satheesh
