00:05Aaliyah Boston, the center for the Indiana Fever, has been recognized by the WNBA as
00:10a member of the all-defensive second team, marking her first time receiving this accolade.
00:15Throughout the season, Boston demonstrated her exceptional skills by ranking fourth
00:21in the league for total rebounds, amassing 361 rebounds over the course of 34 games.
00:27This impressive total not only set a new franchise record for the most rebounds in a single
00:32season, but also surpassed her own previous records from both 2023 and 2024.
00:39Since being selected as the first overall pick in the 2023 WNBA draft, Boston has established
00:45a new record each year with the Indiana Fever.
00:48In addition to her rebounding achievements, the three-time WNBA All-Star concluded the
00:53season with 17 double-doubles, which is the third-highest in the league this year and
00:57the most ever recorded in a single season for the franchise.
01:01This season also marked a significant milestone for Boston, as she surpassed 1,000 career rebounds,
01:08making her the fastest player in franchise history to reach this achievement.
01:12With a total of 1,051 rebounds over her three seasons, she currently ranks fourth in the
01:18franchise's all-time records, just 64 rebounds shy of moving into third place, previously
01:24held by Ebony Hoffman.
01:26With 41 blocks this season, Boston has climbed to third place in the franchise's history, amassing
01:32a total of 140 blocks throughout her career.
01:36Additionally, she has secured a spot in the top five for both offensive and defensive rebounds
01:41in the franchise's history.
01:43Boston is the first player from the Indiana Fever to receive WNBA All-Defensive honors since
01:48the 2017 season, and is the fifth player overall to achieve this recognition, joining the ranks
01:53of Tully Bevilacqua, Tamika Catchings, Katie Douglas, and Brianne January.
