00:01Okay, everybody, let's rewind and get into exactly what happened this past Saturday in
00:06that Phoenix Suns vs. New Orleans Pelicans matchup, which ended with the Suns taking
00:10the win, 123-114. The big news coming out of it involves suspensions. Phoenix Suns center
00:17Mark Williams has been suspended for one game. New Orleans Pelicans guard Jose Alvarado got
00:21a two-game suspension. This is all for the fight that broke out during the contest. Here's
00:25how it unfolded. Alvarado was upset about a foul call after Mark Williams tried to set a screen on
00:30him. Alvarado pushed Williams then turned his attention to the official, but when he turned
00:35back, Williams had pushed off from the contact and they engaged. Williams pushed Alvarado away as he
00:40stayed close, and then both guys started throwing punches in the moments that followed. After a
00:45review, both players were ejected from the game. In his limited time, Mark Williams had put up 10
00:51points and 8 rebounds in just 11 minutes. Jose Alvarado, in his 14 minutes, finished with 7 points,
00:583 assists, and 2 steals. An interesting side note, this game was actually Mark Williams' first time
01:03playing both ends of a back-to-back this season. His suspension means he'll miss Monday's game at
01:08the Washington Wizards, another stat that stands out. Despite the loss and the ejection, Jose Alvarado
01:15finished that game with a plus-minus of plus 3, which was actually the team high for the Pelicans.
01:19That night, these suspensions were officially announced by former Suns President of Basketball
01:25Operations, James Jones, who now heads basketball operations for the NBA office. So, what's your
01:31take on the suspension lengths? Was a two-game suspension for Alvarado and one for Williams
01:37the right call for this on-court fight?
