00:00Hey Suns fans, got a key injury update straight from the team.
00:04On Monday the Phoenix Suns announced that guard Jalen Green will miss 2-3 more weeks
00:09as he continues his recovery from a right hamstring strain.
00:12The team says Green continues to make good progress.
00:17Traverse, and, he was recently re-evaluated.
00:20His next evaluation is now set for 2-3 weeks from now.
00:24Suns coach Jordan Ott spoke on Monday saying,
00:26Still great progress, I think everything's headed in the right direction.
00:30Everything seems to be good.
00:34Here's the backstory for those catching up.
00:36The 23-year-old guard, who we acquired in the offseason from Houston in the Kevin Durant trade,
00:41suffered this hamstring injury.
00:43It's limited him to just 30 total minutes on the court.
00:46Over only 2 games this entire season, he missed the first 8 games of the 2025-26 season,
00:53finally making his debut on November 6th against the Los Angeles Clippers.
00:58And what a debut it was.
01:00He dropped 29 points in just 23 minutes, but just 2 days later,
01:05he started against the Clippers again and had to leave the game
01:07after re-injuring that same hamstring only 7 minutes in.
01:11Following that aggravation, the team announced a 4-6 week return timeline.
01:17With this latest update, we're definitely on the longer side of that window.
01:20As we approach the end of the year, the Suns' next game is Tuesday night at home
01:25against the Los Angeles Lakers.
01:27So, my question to you all is this.
01:30With the trade deadline pressure and playoff race heating up,
01:34do you think the Suns are being smart with this cautious approach,
01:37or should there be more urgency to get a talent like Green back on the floor?
