00:00Okay everyone, let's talk about what we all just witnessed. It's been roughly 10 hours since the
00:05final buzzer of the Suns 1-16-1-14 loss to the Lakers, and honestly, my brain is still trying
00:12to process it. After the game, I met up with some friends at the main entrance of the mortgage
00:17matchup center, and the first thing I said to them was, I think that was the dumbest basketball
00:22game I have ever watched, and here's why. Let me break down some of the things that just will
00:28never make sense. For a staggering 8 minutes and 5 seconds, the Phoenix Suns did not score a single
00:34point in an actual NBA game. They were up 77-71 with 5.28 left in the third quarter, and they didn't
00:41put another point on the board until Grayson Allen hit two free throws with 9.23 to go in the fourth
00:47quarter. That's a 10-minute and 11-second stretch without a single made field goal. Then, we have a
00:54player whose last name is Smart, making two of the most head-scratching plays you'll ever see.
00:59Marcus Smart nearly cost his team the game with those boneheaded decisions, but somehow,
01:04they got away with it. Next, the no-call. LeBron James absolutely fouled Dylan Brooks on that
01:10three-pointer that put the Suns up, 114-113 with 12 seconds left, no whistle, in a game that had 51
01:17fouls, 68 free throws, and where crew chief Tyler Ford was on the mic more than I was as the PA
01:23announcer, they swallowed their whistles on that play. Then, Brooks gets frustrated, bumps James,
01:30who, predictably, sells it, and gets hit with a technical foul. It was his second, so he was
01:36ejected. LeBron steps to the line for a free throw to tie it, and he misses it, but James would get his
01:42chance to win it. With three seconds left, he takes a clunky three-point attempt, Devin Booker is
01:47called for the foul, and James steps up and hits two of his three free throws to essentially seal
01:52the game. This was a gut punch, blood pressure-raising loss for the Suns. They were the
01:59smaller team, and got dominated on the glass all night. They were outworked by a Lakers team,
02:04they themselves had exposed in LA just two weeks ago, they were sloppy with the ball and again,
02:09they went an eternity without scoring. And yet through all of that, they fought back,
02:14and probably should have won this game. So here's my final thought for you.
02:18After all the hair-pulling frustration this team puts you through, they somehow still find a way,
02:23to leave you feeling a little bit optimistic. What did you think?
02:27Was this the most bizarre game you've seen all season?
