00:19Well, what I predict versus what other people are predicting

00:23are probably two different things.

00:24I think this team does have the talent if they play the right way

00:30and if their team plays to their level,

00:34meaning all of the players kind of hit their marks

00:37and play the Marco Sturm style here,

00:41I think they've got a shot at making the playoffs.

00:43Now, I've seen over the last few days,

00:46a lot of the other media outlets are coming out with their predictions

00:50as to how teams are going to be

00:52and the analytics people are weighing in

00:54as to who's got the best shots at making the playoffs.

00:57There's not a lot of faith in this team out there.

01:00And who knows?

01:02Maybe that helps them in the early going.

01:04Maybe teams start overlooking them a little bit.

01:08Listen, over the course of 82 games,

01:11a lot of things will happen.

01:12A lot of injuries around the league.

01:15Some guys will play above their heads.

01:17Some guys will play below their levels.

01:20And so it's difficult to predict.

01:23I think this can be a playoff team.

01:26I really do.

01:27But it's going to require, you know,

01:30their power play and penalty kill are going to need to be better

01:34and probably a lot better than they were last year.

01:37Pasternak and Geeky and Lindholm are going to have to produce at,

01:41I mean, Pasternak and Geeky are going to have to produce at levels

01:43that they did last year.

01:45And Lindholm is going to need to be better than he was last year.

01:50I think Arvidsson is going to have to have a good year.

01:52You know, one of the new faces on this team.

01:54I think you're going to need, you know,

01:57the defense to chip in offensively more than you had maybe in years past.

02:02And you're going to need Jeremy Swayman to be at his best night in and night out.

02:06You know, are all those things possible?

02:08Sure.

02:08You know, are the Bruins, you know,

02:11one of the top teams in the Atlantic Division

02:13or one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference?

02:15No.

02:15But, you know, can they compete at that kind of mid-level

02:18and compete for a wild card?

02:20Absolutely.
