00:00Is there anything, like, just to be watchful for at the start of his season, trend-wise in the NHL?
00:08Like, does goaltending tend to need more time to ramp up, or are the goalies generally ahead of, say, you know, the shot makers and the goal scorers?
00:20That's a good question. I might have to do a little research on that today.
00:23It's like the pitching versus the hitting at the start of the baseball season, you know?
00:27I just wonder if there's any, you know, if I just want to be on the lookout, if Swayman looks really good tonight, you know, I'm not falling into the trap of, yeah, goalies tend to look better at the start of the season because the guys really don't have their legs yet, and the goal scorers aren't, you know, in top form yet.
00:43Or maybe it's the other way around. I'm not sure.
00:46Yeah, I mean, one would think that, you know, the goalies get worn down over the course of a season.
00:51So, you know, in the early part of the season, they would be at their freshest, and both Swayman and Corposalo, I thought, looked really good during the preseason.
01:01So that's, you know, something that you would hope you'd get right out of the gate.
01:05The Bruins didn't get last year.
01:06I remember, you know, opening night down in Florida last year where the defense looked porous, and, you know, the goaltending was not great right out of the shoot.
01:16And, you know, that was supposed to be one of the strengths of the team going into the season.
01:21And I remember Beerzy and I kind of looking at each other during that game going, oof, this is not what was advertised.
01:27So, you know, hopefully it's a little bit better start from that regard tonight.
