00:01:42sacked. Rangers just had a

00:01:44small mention of it on

00:01:46their website that he

00:01:47had indeed parted company

00:01:49with the club. While all transitional

00:01:52peers require some time, results have

00:01:54not met with the club's expectations.

00:02:02Russell Martin and yet again it's one of

00:02:04those pictures you

00:02:06see of a manager with a

00:02:14in by supporters. He's taken away

00:02:16in a separate car. Not good

00:02:18viewing, you know, for people

00:02:20in a game. You don't like to see that happening

00:02:22to anybody and that kind of thing. But I

00:02:24think we all knew it was

00:02:25a matter of time, you know, if results

00:02:27hadn't improved it was going to happen

00:02:29and obviously at the weekend

00:02:30they decided but I think a wee bit of it

00:02:33had something to do with the midweek

00:02:34when the two boys were

00:02:36I think it would be the supporters

00:02:38the two boys upstairs

00:08:15it's been a

00:08:15disastrous regime

00:08:17the shortest

00:08:18managerial regime

00:08:19in Rangers history

00:08:20he came in

00:08:21and he was never

00:08:22a universally

00:08:22popular appointment

00:08:24he accepted that

00:08:25however he arrived

00:08:26here back in June

00:08:27with promises

00:08:28of fast attacking

00:08:29aggressive

00:08:30purposeful football

00:08:31it was never

00:08:32evidenced on his

00:08:33teams on the pitch

00:08:34this is a Rangers

00:08:35side now

00:08:36who find themselves

00:08:38off the pace

00:08:38of Hearts

00:08:39and 9 points

00:08:40off of rivals

00:08:41Celtic

00:08:42whoever is tasked

00:08:43with trying to

00:08:44make up that ground

00:08:45has a huge job

00:08:47in front of them

00:08:47not just in unifying

00:08:49the club

00:08:50and silencing

00:08:51the dissenting

00:08:52noises around the

00:08:53board

00:08:54and unifying

00:08:54players and fans

00:08:56but also

00:08:56in ensuring

00:08:57that this campaign

00:08:58is not entirely

00:08:59a right of it

00:09:00the usual runners

00:09:01and riders

00:09:02who have been

00:09:02quoted so far

00:09:03this morning

00:09:04although Stephen

00:09:04Gerrard remains

00:09:05the name on the lips

00:09:07of most Rangers fans

00:09:08that we've spoken

00:09:09to this morning

00:09:10he of course

00:09:11delivered a title

00:09:15that could come back

00:09:16and put Rangers

00:13:13you're looking for

00:13:13leadership qualities

00:13:14within that

00:13:15dressing room

00:13:15so for me

00:13:16it's someone who

00:13:17can actually

00:13:17command that

00:13:18dressing room

00:13:18and try and

00:13:19get them going

00:13:19in the right

00:13:20direction would be

00:13:21the ideal candidate

00:13:27landscape and so

00:14:46good as Celtic

00:14:46the European form

00:14:47was great but

00:14:48the away form

00:14:49was poor

00:14:50you know it was

00:14:51like mid table

00:14:55so for me it's

00:14:57about recognising
