00:13The Swedish climate activist was deported alongside 170 journalists, MPs, lawyers

00:19and other activists by Israel on a specially chartered plane.

00:23Like others, she denounced mistreatment and degrading conditions while in Israeli detention.

00:28I could talk for a very, very long time about our mistreatment and abuses in our imprisonment,

00:36trust me, but that is not the story.

00:39What happened here was that Israel, while continuing to worsen and escalate their genocide,

00:45attempting to erase an entire population, an entire nation in front of our very eyes.

00:51Israel has denied the accusations, calling the flotilla a PR stunt

00:56and saying that its members were spreading lies.

00:59The global Sumed Flotilla set sail from Barcelona at the beginning of September.

01:04The group of 45 vessels wanted to put pressure on international governments

01:08and symbolically break the blockade on Gaza.

01:11Around 470 people on board were detained after the boats in international waters,

01:17where Israel doesn't have jurisdiction, were stopped by Israeli forces.

01:21This subsequent detention was unlawful, according to Amnesty International.

01:26This interception is not just about blocking aid.

01:29It is a calculated act of intimidation intended to punish and silence critics

01:34of Israel's genocide and its unlawful blockade on Gaza.

01:38Israel has repeatedly questioned the humanitarian ambitions of flotillas trying to deliver aid to Gaza.

01:44Another one is already heading towards the enclave.

01:47A nine-vessel group, made up of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition and the Thousand Madelines,

01:52set off from Italy last week.
