Activists aboard dozens of boats, including Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg and Irish actor Liam Cunningham, set sail from Barcelona on Aug 31 as part of the Global Sumud Flotilla aimed at breaking Israel's blockade of aid into Gaza at sea.
No humanitarian flotilla had been allowed into Gaza so far this year as they were seized and brought back to Israeli shores.
00:30When there is a genocide, we cannot negotiate with them.
00:36We need to isolate them. We need to dehydrate this system of death.
00:41We live in a system that exploits, oppresses and destroys nature in its everyday and enables genocide like this.
00:48So we are not going only on a boat mission.
00:51We are building an internationalist mass movement to be part of the people who attend to the historical calling of our generation.
00:58The question should be why would they stop a purely humanitarian mission?
01:03We carry no weapons. We are no threats. We are carrying humanitarian aid to a starving population.
01:10What we should also ask is why are the governments around the world are not acting?
01:16Why are they not sanctioning Israel and lifting the siege so that the humanitarian aid can enter Gaza?
01:28It's a long, long, long boat that goes all the way, all the way there.
01:35And this is only a portion of the flotilla that's gone.
01:38There are boats in other ports. There are boats in other countries.
01:42Tunisia. And you can see the support that the people have here.
01:48are too fearful of reaping questions and afraid to put their heads above the parapet.
01:54So the people have to do it. And this is getting bigger and bigger.
01:57And it's going to come to a tipping point.

02:03I cannot stand the injustice of how we're allowing one group of people to treat another group of people.
02:15The fact that they're Palestinians and Israelis and Arabs and Jews makes no difference to me whatsoever.
02:24The future of the human race is in absolute jeopardy if we think it's okay to do what the defense forces or the occupation forces are doing to the Palestinian people and the methods they're using.
02:35I can't sit idly by, so whatever little platform I have, I have to shout as loud as I can.
