00:00Hello, this is E-Soup, aka Specific Soup. Today I'm reacting to another song by Diana Ankudinova.
00:09I last did a reaction to It Is Here, the music video for that song, and I got a lot of comments.
00:17Thank you for that. And some people were recommending that I react to this music video.
00:22It's Baikal, from the OST of Spirit of Baikal. So I don't know what that is, and I'm probably not pronouncing that totally right.
00:33But, um, I'm just excited to get into this, because any song by hers, I am pretty sure I will like it.
00:41So without further ado, here is Baikal, by Diana Ankudinova.
00:52Ooh. Underwater.
01:02Almost like, kind of jellyfish-like.
01:10Do we have subtitles?
01:13Okay, awesome.
01:22Oh, there's someone above the ice, and then Diana is underwater. Ooh.
01:44Or maybe she's, like, a mermaid.
01:48Ooh. Ooh!
01:52I, as always, I love her voice. I love when her voice goes so deep.
02:08And I'm really loving the visuals in this, as well.
02:11The kind of, like, mirror...
02:13thing...
02:14in the circle around her.
02:18Ooh.
02:19Ooh.
02:20Ooh.
02:20Ooh.
02:22Oh, I love that.
02:44I love the lighting.
03:07Her voice, just, like, this deep, is so incredible.
03:24And this, I don't know what spirit of Baikal is,
03:28but this just feels like something that's perfect for a soundtrack.
03:31For, like, a very, kind of, majestic, epic moment.
03:36Like, just, I don't know if it's some kind of fantasy thing, or what it is.
03:41But, like, I'm thinking about it, and I'm like, yeah, Diana Ankudinova should be on soundtracks.
03:47She should be on more soundtracks for things.
03:49She should be on soundtracks for things.
04:11Oh.
04:12you'll hear something under the ice
04:42it is the thunder of your heart my heart
04:44it's not the first thing I'm paying
04:46attention to but the lyrics
04:47in this are wonderful as well
04:49I really wonder what this
04:52movie is about if it really is some
04:54sort of person or creature
04:56under the ice or if this
04:58is more metaphorical and it's just
05:00like an icy landscape
05:01but like realistic kind of thing
05:04I don't know I'm very curious
05:05about it though I'm guessing it's
05:08a movie but I'm not even sure if it's a movie or
05:10like a show or something else
05:11wow
05:17that is gorgeous
05:33sure does look cold
05:47wow it's just building
05:59nice
06:11that's gorgeous
06:18oh and her eyes
06:26whoa
06:28okay
06:29that was Baikal by Diana Ankudinova
06:38I'm really curious about what
06:40Spirit of Baikal is
06:42but like I said this just
06:44feels like a perfect kind of
06:47soundtrack song
06:48it's just very epic
06:50and powerful
06:52and even though it has a
06:54great darkness to it
06:56there's something uplifting
06:58like in the lyrics
06:59and the way that
07:00the song
07:01progresses
07:02towards the end
07:03it's like you're
07:04up against
07:05this really
07:06intense thing
07:07but like you can do it
07:08and you can find the strength
07:09in yourself
07:10and like break out of the ice
07:11and all that
07:12and just a really beautiful song
07:14I think I'm gonna be listening
07:16to this again
07:17like without the video
07:18or anything
07:18just trying to really like
07:20feel the feeling of the song
07:22itself
07:23but I really loved that
07:25I do think
07:27that when it comes to like
07:29going back and listening to
07:30Diana Ankudinova
07:32like just
07:33on my own time
07:34I tend to go back
07:36to her live performances
07:37because they're so
07:39big and impressive
07:40and like surprising
07:42and so
07:43but like because of that
07:45I haven't listened to
07:46as much of her studio work
07:47and her studio work
07:48is still really really good
07:49it's just like
07:50oh the live performances
07:50are like
07:51the big epic things
07:52but because of that
07:53there's a
07:54there's a
07:55pretty big
07:57gap
07:57in like my
07:58song knowledge
07:59I guess
08:00of Diana Ankudinova
08:01where it's like
08:02oh I know more covers
08:03than her actual
08:04original stuff
08:05so I'm curious
08:07if you have more suggestions
08:08of originals by her
08:09for me to listen to
08:11or especially
08:12if there's
08:13really good live performances
08:14of some of her
08:16original music
08:16I would be interested
08:18in that
08:19because that is stuff
08:20that I haven't seen
08:21and I think it would be
08:23the most like
08:24impactful
08:25so
08:26this was incredible
08:27thank you to those
08:28who suggested this song
