00:00This is E-Soup aka Specific Soup. Right now I am reacting to Heart's Intuition by Aurora.
00:08It is one of her bonus tracks for the new deluxe version of her album What Happened to the Heart.
00:15I just came from listening to Dreams featuring Nicole Zinago and that was amazing. It was just
00:23the same song but featuring this other artist and then there was a part where they sang back
00:29and forth with like English and Spanish lines back and forth and it was so good. That was absolutely
00:34beautiful. Now the two remaining bonus tracks that I have to react to, Heart's Intuition and The Weight
00:42of Missing, which I'm doing after this, are both totally new songs. So I don't know what I'm getting
00:48into with this. I pulled up the lyrics from Genius so I'm going to look at the lyrics while I listen
00:54to this but I have no idea what this is going to be like and I'm so excited. So without further
01:00ado, let's check out Heart's Intuition.
01:15Ooh. Ooh!
01:23Strings? Are you kidding me?
01:25Oh. Will you pull your love back before you let it live? Oh. Will you show my heart where
01:41the hurt is and how to forgive? We blew out our fire, but we left a spark. What is that? A keyboard?
01:53I don't know. I don't need much light to see you in the dark.
01:59Yeah. Ugh.
02:00Somewhere within it first begins with your heart and to your mind.
02:07Ooh.
02:08Don't be scared of your heart's intuition. You're not born just to die.
02:16Oh.
02:17You're not born just to die.
02:21You're not born just to die.
02:28Okay, so, so far this is beautiful. I'm loving the way it started with the strings, and I
02:38love this, like, this keyboard thing going on. It's, like, just a simple message, but it's,
02:46it's, it's, it's beautiful. I love it.
02:52Okay, the keyboard, synth, whatever it is, is so fun.
02:55You were always frightened when it left to mark.
03:02Ooh.
03:03And I hope you never regret that you let me touch your heart.
03:09Oh.
03:10And I hope you see the love I tried to sell.
03:14The love I tried to sell.
03:17Even though I've hurt you the most, was human like yourself.
03:24Before we go into the chorus, I just want to say that the lyrics of the song, they make
03:29it a very close companion to the song, um, Invisible Wounds. Just like, you know, I hurt
03:36you and you hurt me, but maybe we can both accept that because we're human and that, like,
03:42that's what happens.
03:53Ooh, hold on.
03:54Are the lyrics different in the chorus this time?
03:57Yes!
03:58The first chorus is somewhere within a be- first begins.
04:01With your heart, then to your mind.
04:03Don't be scared of your heart's intuition.
04:05You're not born just to die.
04:07This chorus, the second one, and within my blood, God, I feel it, even in my bones,
04:13and it blows my mind.
04:14Don't be scared of your heart's intuition.
04:16You're not born just to die.
04:18That's cool.
04:19I love when a chorus changes things up.
04:31The strings!
04:32Oh!
04:33Oh!
04:53Oh.
05:24oh i love that ending with everything just falling out and it's just her voice and there's like
05:44there's a little bit of bass that you can kind of hear and kind of feel at the ending but it's
05:49basically just her voice and that that bassiness and that's it that's beautiful that is lovely i
05:56really like the way that the strings open the song and then we get that like synth keyboard like
06:02whatever it is it has like a certain kind of 80s vibe to it but then we get a lot of that and then
06:08later on in like the second chorus it starts building up and as it's building up we get like
06:14the strings on top of everything else again i just love that like i love the instrumentation of this
06:20and i love the message and like i said it feels a little bit like a companion piece to invisible
06:26wounds but also a song that kind of has a message for everybody don't be scared of your heart's
06:33intuition you're not born just to die like if you feel like you want to open up to someone
06:38go for it don't be afraid of doing that and even if something bad happens you can't live your life
06:46just you know not taking chances like that this was lovely yeah it's like a song that's about a
06:52breakup and about accepting a breakup later on after the fact and also just has a message for everybody
06:59about like being vulnerable and accepting things and like following your heart as cliche as it sounds
07:06i love that um i love when aurora does songs with this kind of style there's a certain 80s vibe to
07:13it but maybe maybe 90s is more accurate i'm like whenever i say that something sounds like a certain
07:20era of music i'm always like but i'm not really sure because i don't really know like just like
07:26follow your heart's intuition it's literally just like an intuition i have where i'm like oh that's
07:30kind of like the 80s or oh that's kind of kind of 90s vibes i don't know why i think that
07:35in this case it's i mean it's like the synthy keyboard thing kind of was giving me 80s but
07:41besides that i don't know why i think that so take my word for the grain of salt but that's just what
07:47it sounded like to me i can see why i don't know if she wrote it after everything else but even if
07:54she had written it like earlier on in the process i can see why it's a bonus track because it's sort of
07:59like an addition to things that she already covered in the songs on the album on the regular version of
08:06the album um so i see why it didn't necessarily fit into the the main version of the album but it is
08:13perfect as a bonus track and just as a song of its own right so this has been incredible i am going right
08:21into reacting to the next one but that will be another video so until i see you next time this is esoup signing out
