00:00Are we looking at you on the camera?
00:02Me, please, yeah.
00:04It's much better looking at you.
00:06Smith, it's very...
00:07We're very professional and we don't start until the 1st of December and we're open on the 12th.
00:15And we have a day off.
00:16Yeah, so we, so pantomime is we literally, everyone, every single person involved in the company on the 1st of December will be there.
00:23Here, probably, probably right here. We'll probably sit here.
00:26Under a table?
00:27Yes, potentially, fully dressed.
00:29Obviously.
00:30Yes, and then we will put the whole show together in about...
00:33A week and a half.
00:34Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And then we'll take it into the theatre and put it on its feet.
00:40And it will be so good.
00:41We are quite professional, really, aren't we? We really are.
00:45But it's quite full on, as you can imagine.
00:47But the show, I know the show is going to be fantastic.
00:52So I have done this particular show before. Not here, obviously, because I was here last year.
00:56You were, you were a bunch of Cinderella.
00:58I hope, certainly hope I was.
01:00And they brought me back.
01:04It's a wonderful script. It's very funny.
01:07It's also quite scary.
01:08It's a very nice pantomime beauty in the piece because it's very traditional.
01:12There's a wonderful love story going on.
01:14You have to have a love story, don't you?
01:15But also you've got the good fairy and the wicked witch.
01:18So you've got good and evil battling it out.
01:21It's got everything you want from a pantomime.
01:23And it's also, as it happens, got an absolutely beautiful girl playing Belle.
01:28A pretty hunky chap playing the prince and the beast.
01:31And, of course, Tiger, who you'll know from Outnumbered, is playing Gaston.
01:39And Gaston, I'm horrible to him.
01:42I'm happy to say that I'm really beastly to him.
01:44I'm pretty beastly to everybody, actually, in this play.
01:46But with a bit of luck, it'll make people laugh because they'll want me to be beastly to them.
01:51I mean, Belle is so sickeningly nice.
01:54It's no wonder I get cross with her.
01:56She's just adorable and beautiful.
01:59What's not to hate?
02:00I don't know.
02:01I think it's always nice to play a princess, you know?
02:05Like, you don't always get the chance to do it.
02:08So when you do, you just kind of have fun being someone that kids look up to
02:16and kind of getting to fill those shoes.
02:20Is it?
02:20Yeah.
02:21Can you make a gorgeous princess by the way?
02:23Like, every little girl's absolutely screaming how exciting it will be.
02:32Yeah, I think for me, it's the kind of duality of him as a character.
02:37Like, he is very much these two different people.
02:40And the journey that he goes on is, I suppose, sort of self-discovery.
02:45He's like a very arrogant kind of person.
02:48And then he goes through this quite objectively traumatic experience
02:52and then comes out the other side.
02:54And I think that's a really cool journey to get to play.
02:57Yeah, it is really cool.
02:59It's really exciting meeting people.
03:01I mean, you know, obviously, we've got people in the cast
03:04who are pretty famous from TV and stuff.
03:07And so it's really cool to meet them just as people,
03:10but also as performers and as actors.
03:12Getting to work across from them is a really exciting opportunity.
03:16Yeah.
03:18I am Tiger Drew Honey, and I will be playing Gaston
03:21in this year's Beauty and the Beast at Fairham Life.
03:23In the pantos I've done before, I've only ever done prints.
03:29So I'm kind of used to doing the prints and being somewhat of the hero.
03:33I know this year is going to be a bit different being Gaston,
03:35who's kind of like, you know, a baddie, so to speak,
03:37and he's not the hero.
03:38So, yeah, really looking forward to getting my teeth stuck
03:41into something a bit new, a bit of new energy to the character.
03:44I've only met, I've met quite a few of the cast
03:47at a photo that should be done before,
03:48but this is the first time I've seen the venue
03:49and met, like, the whole team and all the principal cast.
03:53But, yeah, seems like a really good vibe, really nice company,
03:55really great place to work with the facilities being pretty new
03:58and still feeling all fresh and shiny.
04:02So, yeah, I think it's going to be a really good run,
04:04lots of nice people, and we should have a good show.
