00:00And here's your schedule, and we can go over it whenever you'd like.
00:03If you have one now, that'd be great.
00:05Yeah, now's fine.
00:06Oh, before we start, were you able to get a hold of Michael?
00:09I left work.
00:10Great, thank you.
00:11And I need you to reschedule my meeting with the Administration of Children and Families.
00:16Are you sure you want to put it off?
00:17I thought securing more funding for child care was your top priority.
00:20Oh, it still is.
00:21I just need to take a more active role on the International Law Enforcement Appropriations Committee,
00:27and time is an issue.
00:28And with respect to that, I need you to do some research for me.
00:32Sure. What do you need?
00:33I need you to find out who on the committee supports funding for the WSB and who doesn't.
00:39Does this have something to do with your meeting with Chief Brennan yesterday?
00:43So, Mom, how's pregnancy going? Are you feeling okay?
00:48Well, I don't know where my center of gravity is, but I know it's not where it used to be.
00:55Besides feeling ginormous, I'm fine.
00:58Well, if you ask me, you look beautiful.
01:02Well, that's a very nice thing for you to say. Thank you.
01:05And can you believe I still have two months left?
01:08I know. I know.
01:10I mean, we still have so much to do before the baby actually arrives.
01:16Don't remind me.
01:18We have not even started putting together the nursery for the baby.
01:22We've done nothing.
01:24Well, actually, some of the stuff that I order online are coming in today, so we can't get started.
01:33But...
01:35But what?
01:37I don't know.
01:38It just...
01:39It doesn't feel right having fun working on our family project when Jordan's going through hell.
01:55Oh, Justine.
01:56This is lovely.
01:58Oh.
01:58And it's so soft.
02:00Well, I thought you could use something warm and cozy to where it gets really cold in here.
02:05And you do not have an ounce of body fat.
02:08And it has a deep hood.
02:10I can use it when I go out in public and go incognito.
02:17And could you have Commissioner Falconeri call me back as soon as possible?
02:21I'd like to request a copy of the paint analysis they did on the guardrail.
02:27All right. Thank you.
02:29Hey, I brought you a copy of the report from today's meeting regarding Aurora's negotiations.
02:34I appreciate it.
02:36And thank you for covering for me.
02:37No, of course, man. You got a lot on your plate right now.
02:40Is that about Jordan's accident?
02:43Yeah, the police have new information on the car that fled the scene.
02:48Were they able to ID the other driver?
02:50Not yet.
02:52But from what they found, there's a good chance it's Isaiah Cannon.
02:57Oops.
02:59Thanks for coming in early to cover for me.
03:01Oh, not a problem. Is everything all right?
03:04Rough morning.
03:04I took a tight turn in the parking garage and I scratched up the entire passenger side of my SUV.
03:12Oh, that sounds expensive.
03:14And it always hurts more when it's your own fault.
03:17Big time.
03:18And that little mistake is going to cost me big time.
03:22Phoebe, I am so proud of you for sleeping through the night.
03:2711 to 4 a.m. is considered the whole night?
03:29Oh, don't listen to him.
03:30You are doing great.
03:32The whole five hours.
03:34And then six months from now, you'll be sleeping a whole night.
03:36And then maybe Chase won't be so grumpy.
03:40Yet.
04:06What makes you think Dr. Gannon was the other driver?
04:10I'll admit, I don't have a lot to go on.
04:15I didn't get a good look at the other car.
04:18But it may have scraped a nearby guardrail.
04:20And as it turns out, the paint is from a black German vehicle.
04:25And Isaiah drives a black SUV.
04:27Curtis, I'm sure there's plenty of other German-made vehicles in the area with black paint.
04:32Right, right.
04:33But Isaiah made a point of visiting Jordan in her hospital room.
04:36So, even when she made it clear that he was making her uncomfortable, he wouldn't leave until I showed up
04:41and made him leave.
04:42It was like, it was like he was feeling guilty about something.
04:48It still seems like a big leap to me.
04:51No.
04:52It's just a theory.
04:54But it's the only lead I have.
04:57And I believe it's worth pursuing.
05:00I keep kicking myself because it was such an easily avoidable mistake.
05:04I mean, I should have been paying more attention.
05:07I shouldn't have been in such a rush.
05:09Now that little mistake is going to cost me at least $1,000 to fix.
05:13I'm sorry, man.
05:15That is such a bummer.
05:16It is.
05:17You know what?
05:19I'm done complaining.
05:21And I have patience to deal with who have much bigger problems than a scratcher SUV.
05:33I'm sorry about that little joke I made earlier.
05:38I wanted to sound like I was doing okay with all of this, but I'm just not there yet.
05:47Obviously.
05:48That's completely understandable, Jordan.
05:51You've been in a terrible accident.
05:53You're still dealing with your injuries.
05:55I know, but I came across so self-pitying.
06:00I don't want to be like that.
06:02You don't have to apologize.
06:05And trying to put up a front with me, we're friends.
06:10Look, in my job, a lot of people have unloaded on me, and I haven't been phased once.
06:15So you, someone who I care about, I want the truth from you.
06:21Always.
06:23No matter what it is.
06:26And I appreciate that.
06:28It's just that this is my face.
06:34And it's becoming increasingly clear that it may never be the same.
06:37No, it's still very early, and you have a lot of healing to do.
06:41I know.
06:43I'm just trying to be realistic.
06:46I don't like to consider myself vain, but I took pride in my appearance.
06:53And it's hard to see the person I was when I look in a mirror.
06:59And I don't know if I can handle that.
07:32I just feel so torn.
07:32Let your dad know before we do anything, trust me.
07:37I, um, I didn't tell him about a last-minute check-in that I had with Dr. Westbourne.
07:44Dr. Westbourne, he wasn't happy about it.
08:25Dr. Westbourne, he was happy about it.
08:29it i wish i could do more to support her right now hey it's not too late there is always
08:40time
08:40to make up and acknowledge past mistakes and try to do better chief brendan and i agreed that we
08:49need to work together to protect the public is this about jason morgan it was really awful the
08:55way the wsb basically kidnapped what happened to him was a total miscarriage of justice and i want
09:02to make sure the wsb doesn't destroy any more lives here in port charles and i need to make
09:07sure that that doesn't happen again i bet you're not alone there i can't imagine i am but in order
09:12to do that i have to have more power and influence with the committee that funds the wsb
09:22well i guess we're all up early this morning except that some of us won't get 30 or 40 naps
09:30later on
09:31today good morning morning tracy i don't know about you but i am desperate for caffeine i guess maybe
09:39it's because i was awakened by a wailing baby from 10 rooms down the hall young lady you have a
09:47very
09:48healthy set of lungs sorry granny i was just telling chase that she should be on a better sleep schedule
09:54in about six months what good will that do us she could be back with her actual family by then
10:02uh i should get changed and head to the station oh i've uh been meaning to ask you where's your
10:08car
10:09did you leave it a deception oh you know what i just want to get you be settled right actually
10:13i put
10:14both our cars in to get detailed there was a two for one deal huh wouldn't have thought you'd care
10:21to
10:21save a few bucks tracy who doesn't love a good bargain can't argue with that i'll see you later love
10:30you
10:30yeah i love him have a good day you have a very trusting husband he's also a smart cop and
10:43if
10:43you don't want him to know that you were involved in jordan's accident you better do a better job of
10:48covering hey lucas do you have a minute yeah my break just started what's up
11:00i just wanted to check in see how you were doing i haven't seen you since marco's funeral
11:07i'm i'm i'm hanging in there thank you for asking have the police have the police found who stabbed
11:12him and left him for dead no the police haven't done anything hey i've been thinking a lot about
11:18marco recently especially now that we've reopened charlie's i've been thinking about the fire that night
11:22and how he risked his life to save mine i would be dead if it weren't for him marco was
11:31a hero yeah
11:35he was i'll get you a report on the ile members voting records by next week that would be great
11:42thank you
11:48isaiah it's so good to hear from you it's been a while yeah too long and i'd love to change
11:54that
11:54whenever you have time but at the moment i was hoping i could get kai taylor's number from you
12:00i know he's your intern and i i would have asked portia but she's out with trina and i
12:07would hate to interrupt mother-daughter time well you're in luck because kai is standing right here
12:13do you want me to put him on the phone yes please thank you congresswoman of course hold on one
12:19second
12:21dr isaiah gannon hello hey kai i hope this isn't a bad time i need your help with something important
12:33any chance you could swing by the hospital
12:37i appreciate you trying to help me and you are frighteningly smooth in the doing but i still think
12:42that i should come forward and admit that i had a near collision with jordan i will just explain that
12:48i didn't realize that there had been an accident you also didn't stop because of the glass of wine
12:52you drank i plan to leave that part out you might assume that lucy co won't she loves drama and
13:02the
13:02opportunity to be in the middle of it will be too much for her to resist okay but i wasn't
13:08drunk i had
13:09one glass of wine it doesn't matter especially now that your car is being fixed the police will assume
13:17you are covering up a crime even though you weren't responsible why does it feel like i am
13:28i know i should just be thankful to be alive
13:32you must think i'm so shallow i would never think that people are judged every day based on their
13:40appearance especially women when i go into a courtroom i know that it is not just about my legal skills
13:48i
13:49have to present a whole package to the jury to win their respect and it's somewhat true for men too
13:57but
13:57you know they don't have to worry about how much they smile or if they come across as too caring
14:02or not
14:03caring enough these are the extra burdens we women have to carry in order to succeed that's exactly
14:09what i'm worried about i am the public face of jen sidwell's company how am i supposed to be
14:16his liaison to the world if my appearance is a distraction are you concerned he'll fire you
14:24maybe but it also might be a relief once these bandages come off people are going to stare
14:32or worse they might flinch or look away okay i don't know about any of that but yes it will
14:40be tough
14:40at first but eventually you'll learn how to deal with it i believe in you jordan
14:48your strength and confidence it's inspiring i'm not sure how much i have of that anymore
14:58these lacerations have already changed who i am and how i feel about myself
15:05and i don't know how i feel about that
15:09i haven't told anyone yet not even jordan so please keep this to yourself of course i won't say
15:15anything i just don't want to make any accusations until i have proof and even then it could be dicey
15:22because isaiah is dating porsche we've worked really hard on making peace and i don't want to blow all
15:30that up especially with the baby on the way but on the other hand by leaving the scene of an
15:37accident
15:37that other driver committed a crime and should be held accountable even if it is isaiah
15:43i'm curious i i understand wanting to give jordan closure on what happened i really do but
15:52even if this person is prosecuted it may not give you the resolution that you're open for
16:01it still might mean something for jordan i have to know if my hunch is correct
16:11that is done coming forward it's not going to help jordan and it's only going to make things a lot
16:17worse for you i hate keeping things from chase can i just tell him the truth absolutely not he'll be
16:24obligated to report it besides secrets are part of a healthy marriage oh come on granny what do you know
16:35about healthy marriages i read look your husband has a self registry and what if he decides that you were
16:45at
16:45fault and insists that you come forward even if it means you end up in prison or worse he tries
16:53to
16:54protect me and ends up feeling like he's compromising his principles exactly jordan nearly hit you when she
17:03drove her car into your lane it's not your fault that you drove her car off the road all you
17:11did was swerve to
17:12avoid her by keeping silent about this trust me you are saving yourself and your husband a whole lot of
17:23heartache what about the ashburns what about their heartache i can't imagine what that family's going
17:37through
17:38horsia good morning um i was on my way to see jordan do you know if there's any new updates
17:45on her condition
17:47i'm sorry no i've been keeping my distance i don't think jordan welcomes my presence
17:56but i'm glad i ran into you um i had breakfast with trina and the subject of the nursery it
18:03came up
18:03oh right we need to get started on putting that together ideally yes um but we all agreed that we
18:11would set up the nursery together so we'll wait right now your focus should should all be on jordan
18:20yeah look i don't want to hold you up so you guys get started without me um if i have
18:25time to help
18:27you know i will okay all right i'll let you know
18:33up for sure thank you it's just crazy how
18:40your whole life just turn on the dime you know one minute jordan and i were
18:44finding a nursery going to celebrate a night on the town just like that it changed in an instant
18:53yeah i'm really sorry isaiah and i were shocked when trina called us that night and told us what
18:59happened isaiah was with you that night well we were up at his cabin so you were out of town
19:08why do you ask well it's just that um when we brought jordan in that night to the hospital i
19:15kept
19:15hoping that i would bump into one of you so you could keep me updated on jordan's condition we were
19:20already done working for the day or at least i was what does that mean well um isaiah had to
19:31come back
19:31into town he had an emergency house call it's comforting that i'm not the only one who saw marco
19:39as a hero that there's someone else who knows how brave and selfless he was well that's kind of why
19:45i'm here i want the whole world to know what a great guy marco was and i was thinking the
19:51best way to do
19:52that might be to honor him with a memorial what kind of memorial you've heard of the carinthus davis
19:59house right it's a charitable foundation i started for the queer community yeah i've heard that you
20:04guys do a lot of great work well i was thinking the foundation could do something to honor marco
20:09i would love to know more about him though to make it really personal do you think you could
20:13share some details about his life with me i would love nothing more hey hey hi
20:25i appreciate you coming on such short notice yeah no problem your call made me curious that's what i
20:31was hoping for listen we have a young patient named derrick who's been in the hospital for several weeks
20:36now and i think it's starting to weigh on him yeah i know that feeling all too well it was
20:41not fun being
20:41cooped up in here after my spinal injury how long is derrick supposed to stay oh it could be a
20:48while
20:50he's waiting on a liver transplant jeez poor kid you know i wish there was something i could do for
20:56him there is now derrick is a huge football fan his dream is to play for pcu and he wants
21:06to play
21:07quarterback for the harry too now i'm hoping a visit from a pcu legend can brighten up his day
21:16do you have any time for him i mean i don't play anymore you know maybe he'd rather talk to
21:20one
21:20of my friends who's still on the team i could call one of them no no no you're his favorite
21:25football
21:25player okay and frankly i i would love for him to talk to someone other than me about your stats
21:33and
21:33how much of a legend you are then you pay him a visit listen if you think he'll help him
21:39i'll do whatever i can
21:44michael hi uh thank you for coming please have a seat what's this about
21:54i wanted to talk about what happened at crimson the other night oh you mean when you basically
22:01tried to take the kids away from me i lost my temper and i said things i shouldn't have
22:08particularly about just in the and for that i apologize why a sudden change of heart
22:18once i calmed down i realized we shouldn't be at each other's throats it's not good for the kids
22:26yeah yeah i agree i accept your apology although you should probably apologize to just send it directly
22:36is there anything else actually yes i have a favor to ask
22:46hi trina what's going on uh the delivery man dropped off a package at our apartment instead of
22:51the main house and i figured i'd just save you the trip and like bring it to you again i
22:57that man needs
22:58to give you part of his paycheck because he can't seem to do his job without your help thank you
23:03that
23:04it's very thoughtful of you yeah no problem
23:11all right well i probably should get going uh trina wait um before you go i wanted to ask you
23:17how's
23:18jordan doing heard about her accident yes we've been thinking about her yeah um well the doctors expect
23:25her to make a full recovery oh thank goodness yeah but um her face may be permanently scarred
23:37you just survived a traumatic experience of course you're going to feel different
23:43you need to give yourself time to heal physically and emotionally
23:48i am terrible at waiting when there's a problem i am used to taking action and fixing it but this
23:55i have no control
23:59over what happens or when yes you do in the sense that you can give yourself grace
24:07and you can lean on the people that care about you like me
24:12and curtis well curtis and i just got back together he didn't sign up for this
24:21now i don't know curtis very well but he doesn't seem like someone who backs away when things get
24:27tough so don't sell the man short but more importantly don't sell yourself short whether you end up with a
24:34scar or not you are an amazing woman and curtis
24:38i was lucky to have you thank you
24:45i appreciate you letting me be
24:49me
24:53anytime
24:57before he pursued the law career marco considered being a professional musician
25:03mainly it's because it's what natalia wanted
25:06sounds familiar
25:08well lucky for him natalia had ali to fill all her dreams instead
25:13and despite all the drama between marco and natalia
25:18he was heartbroken when she died
25:20he really loved his mom
25:23what else did he love besides you
25:27uh tennis
25:29and whenever we played he was crazy competitive
25:34do you ever go full mackinroe and break a racket
25:38no but
25:40but this one time purely by chance i actually beat him and
25:46instead of congratulating me we had to
25:50play another game so that he could even the score
25:54we ended up missing our reservation at cafe sherry that night
26:00well i'm sorry you missed your dinner reservation
26:03but marco's love for tennis is something i can actually work with
26:07how so
26:08well the person that runs the youth facility
26:11at the foundation has been pushing us to use the land to open a small athletic facility
26:17maybe we can put a couple of tennis courts there
26:20what do you think about the marco rios tennis center
26:25i think he would love that
26:28okay well then it's settled
26:31that's what we'll do i i will host a fundraiser at charlie's and we'll have a night of singing to
26:37raise funds i know you're you're quite close with marco's father you don't think he's going to want to be
26:43involved do you
26:45i think it's okay for him to sit this one out good i'm soaking him to say that
26:57derrick i'd like to introduce you to a friend of mine
27:01kai taylor you played quarterback for pcu yes i did it's nice to meet you derrick i'm flattered you
27:08remember me i haven't played in over a year passing efficiency 178 69 completion ratio and nine yards
27:16person attacked who's gonna forget that okay well believe it or not derrick a lot of people do
27:23but i'm happy to meet you dr gannon says you want to be a qb too i want to be
27:30just like you okay well i'm
27:32sure there's some things you can teach me so how about we trade tips how does that sound i would
27:37love
27:37that
27:40what kind of favor are you looking for i would like your permission to take wiley and amelia out of
27:47state to go to disney world this summer i'm surprised you even bothered to ask that's a first
27:54michael it was such poor judgment on my part
27:59to take wiley to dc last year for drew swearing in ceremony without asking me first
28:05that is why i'm asking you now i want to do things the right way
28:10that that's why you apologized to me every night because you need me to sign off on your request
28:15right no you deserved an apology and mine was sincere
28:24my kids would love to go to disney world so
28:28yeah yeah you have my permission just keep me advised on the details okay i will
28:35at some point we should probably coordinate our schedules i was thinking about taking the
28:38kids to hawaii this summer we can do that
28:43i really appreciate the effort you're making to get along i only wish we would have done this sooner
28:54am i interrupting
29:06i can come back later unless it would be helpful if you want me to stay it's fine i was
29:12just leaving
29:14keep an eye out for the paperwork thank you michael

29:31you don't need to thank me i didn't really do anything you and brooklyn qualified on your own
29:36well whether that's true or not you put in a good word and that meant the world to me thank
29:43you for being
29:43such a good friend lucas lucas do you have a minute uh yeah what's up well didn't you once
29:51tell me that you went to med school with one of the top plastic surgeons in the country oh uh
29:56dr
29:57shapiro yeah he's based in l.a okay nice um would you feel comfortable asking him to consult on
30:04on jordan's case well i'd be happy to but fair warning dr shapiro has patients flying in from all
30:09over the world i hear he has a two-year wait list yeah i was kind of worried about that
30:13but if he's
30:16your friend it's worth a shot right i hope i'm not interrupting anything hey we were just catching up
30:25here look at this amazing hoodie justine got me it's cute right yeah cute i hope you got a matching
30:33one

31:06cute
31:06hoodie never i talked to dr caldwell but she thinks it'll be at least a month before we can start
31:14talking
31:14surgical options okay well at least we have a timeline it's something yeah she said the burdens
31:24shouldn't be a problem long term but we have to wait for them to heal before we can make any
31:32plans
31:32to address the lacerations it would have been a lot simpler if we had gotten help sooner than out of
31:40the
31:40accident that's definitely true how bad are her injuries um it's hard to say or jordan yeah yes um
31:57my heart goes after her if your father or she needs anything please tell them that we're here to help
32:06thank you i'll pass that along trina wait there's something i've been meaning to say to you brooklyn
32:16the night of the accident
32:20it was the same night that you and geo performed at charlie's and even though i miss seeing it live
32:28dante sent me a recording and you were you were amazing oh thank you that's that's really nice of you
32:35to say yeah i had a lot of fun doing that yeah well you are are clearly a big talent
32:40you've always
32:40been a standout performer at the nurses ball and i really feel like you could have a future in in
32:45singing have you ever considered it oh i mean not really i'm you know focused on building my career
32:52in like the art world that sounds like a good plan well trina if you ever try pursuing singing
33:00professionally i still have a lot of contacts in the music industry and i'd be happy to help you
33:06thanks brooklyn i i appreciate the offer all right well i guess i'll see you the next delivery
33:19are you out of your mind
33:23sorry i'm late it's okay i've kept you waiting millions of times
33:28how was your meeting with willow
33:33enlightening yeah how so well ever since willow became a congresswoman i've been worried her power
33:39and influence can be used against me when it comes to the kids yeah we've all been worried about that
33:45yeah well i think i just figured out how to even out the playing field now the key to neutralizing
33:51willow it's been staring me right in the face this whole time before he left michael mentioned
33:57something about sending him paperwork is everything okay between you two everything's fine i asked his
34:04permission to take the kids out of state for a summer vacation and he agreed we just have to formalize
34:10the arrangement i'm glad michael's finally being reasonable it's the least he could do after framing
34:15you for shooting drew to his credit it was all very civil i told him i wish we could have
34:24reached this
34:24point sooner and by that i meant i wish he had been willing to compromise from the beginning
34:32if michael had shown me one iota of grace things would not have gotten as far as they did willow
34:42you're too good for michael you always have been
34:49what trina's a talented singer i just wanted to help her out nice try you wanted to assuage your guilt
34:54which is ridiculous because you have nothing to be guilty about did you just hear what trina said
35:01that jordan may end up with permanent facial scoring and if that happens it would be tragic but it's
35:06still not your fault and you inserting yourself into that family is only going to make them suspicious
35:12then what do i do just never tell them the truth and live the rest of my life with secrets
35:18and a guilty conscience it could be worse
35:22if they find out that you were the other car involved in that accident brooklyn you could lose
35:31everything your husband phoebe and any chance of ever adopting is that what you want of course not
35:41then pull it together or i won't be able to help you
36:02he knows more about my football career than i do those are some obscure stats he rattled off in
36:07yeah i mean he's a big fan and a little body with a scary man well he is great and
36:14uh
36:15he's gonna be okay isn't he we're gonna do our best um and your visit today i mean that did
36:24wonders
36:26you inspired him to keep fighting yeah well it was good for me too you know i forgot what it's
36:31like
36:31to have a positive impact on someone after i stopped playing football i tried to stop thinking
36:37about that part of my life i could see how that might be painful yeah but at least i had
36:43a chance to play
36:44and i really hope derek gets that chance too i have faith you will
36:51bring on that transplant well i would love to come back and hang with him again
36:56if that's okay with you of course yeah of course it is i'm sure derek would love me
37:03thank you so much lucas i really appreciate it you know it's really kind of you to go the extra
37:10mile to help out jordan well you're the one making the phone call not me well you're the one i
37:14thought
37:14of it well i've blamed jordan for a lot of things over the years but it wasn't completely fair
37:25and like i always tell my daughter it's never too late to make up for past mistakes
37:29well i'm sure jordan and curtis will appreciate the gesture i just really hope it works out
37:36you know it's not like jordan and i are best friends or anything but she's going to be a part
37:40of my life because of curtis and the baby i just want to do whatever i can to help them
37:47do you mind if i step outside for a minute i'd like to catch ada turner something i'd like to
37:52run
37:52by her go ahead i'm a little worn out anyway i might take a nap okay good luck you get
37:58some rest okay
38:06that sounds great okay keep me updated thank you ada turner glad i caught you
