00:00Khalifa Tobias was allowed to go free on Saturday night after the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service advised that following
00:08ongoing investigations into the disappearance of two-year-old Angelo Tobias Plaza, 24-year-old Shannon Miller of Goodwood had
00:16been formally charged with the offense of murder.
00:19Khalifa, the mother of the two-year-old, lived with Miller at Goodwood Bay. The couple was the first to
00:27be detained for questioning after reporting Angelo's disappearance from their home. Five others were also held and subsequently released before
00:37yesterday when the charge was laid against Miller.
00:40Police returned to Goodwood Bay on Saturday, still hopeful of finding the missing infant. Several searches have been conducted along
00:48the coastline over the past two weeks, but nothing was found.
00:53Angelo was reported missing on May 11, 2026, after a comprehensive and multi-agency investigation was immediately launched.
01:03The police stated in a release on Saturday night that an audience was held with a specialist advisor attached to
01:11the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, DPP, to review the circumstances surrounding the child's disappearance.
01:18Following a detailed review of the evidence gathered, the police received legal advice that there was sufficient evidence to proceed
