Family of missing boy release statement as search continues

The devastated family of a young boy missing in South Australia’s mid north remains hopeful he'll be returned safely. Four-year-old 'Gus' went missing from his family's sheep station near Yunta on Saturday afternoon. Since then, police and SES have deployed ground personnel, aircraft and drones to the area.

00:00We're devastated by the disappearance of our beloved Gus on Saturday afternoon.

00:11It's come as a shock to our family and friends and we're struggling to comprehend what has happened.

00:23Gus's absence is felt in all of us and we miss him more than words can express.

00:32Our hearts are aching and we are holding on to hope that he will be found and returned safely.

00:43We're incredibly grateful to the South Australian Police, the emergency services and the many organisations,

00:52community members and friends who have come together to help look for Gus.

01:02At this time we kindly ask for privacy as we focus all our energy on supporting the search and working closely with the police.
