Seoni, Madhya Pradesh – A disturbing incident has come to light in Seoni on Saturday (27 September 2025), where a young Hindu man was brutally assaulted by a group of youths while walking with a Muslim girl near the city bus stand. The attack, captured on mobile phones, quickly went viral on social media.

According to Seoni Superintendent of Police, the assailants stopped the pair, asked the girl’s name, and upon learning it, targeted the young man, questioning, “Is this Hindu boy your brother?” He was then dragged to the side of the road and beaten severely, while the girl was ordered to move aside.

Following the viral video, police identified seven accused, arrested six, and registered cases under relevant IPC sections. Authorities have assured strict action to maintain law and order.

The incident has raised concerns about communal harmony in the city, prompting police to urge citizens to report any suspicious activity immediately.
