00:08They were defeated 67-58. It was a close battle as both the teams were tied at 52 points in the fourth quarter before Singapore took the eventual victory.
00:17On the other hand, the Jamaicans are doing fine as they defeated Cook Islands 57-47.
00:23Approximately 500 runners smashed the road around the Queen's Park Savannah in the third annual Coalition Against Domestic Violence one-lap event.
00:34Zidane Hamid was the first person to cross the line on Sunday as Alexi Kisa guided him through.
00:40Alexia John crossed the line first for the women.
00:43Sponsors of the event, Subway, made a donation of $20,000 to support the cause.
00:48The funds are expected to be used to bolster the Coalition's ongoing efforts to eradicate gender-based violence.
00:55There are also plans to increase the pool of trained volunteers available to support the Coalition's essential work.
01:02General Manager of the organization, Sabrina Maula Baksh, believes they are moving in the right direction.
01:10We are growing and it means that the campaign has been a success and it's growing, but we need more.
01:15We need more than to assemble at Queen's Park Savannah to walk and run.
01:19We need people to say, listen, I want to be a part of the solution.
01:23This is also fitting into our wellness program and our initiatives that are also geared towards ending domestic violence, such as Shine.
01:30And we have other initiatives that are going to be rolled out.
01:34Meantime, it was a battle to the finish for the Ventures Credit Union 5K in Coover.
01:39Nicholas Romani repeated again as the winner in a time of 14 minutes, 46 seconds in this amateur footage.
01:47Alexia Iqisa was second and Farai Waldron came third.
01:51It was also a close finish for the women, but a new champion has been crowned.
01:56Annika Bailey fighting to the line while she won it in a time of 18 minutes, 56 seconds.
02:00Alexia John second and Carly Robinson third.
02:04Defending champion Samantha Shukla came fourth.
02:07The call has been brewing for a while now, but an independent group of human rights experts has called on FIFA to ban Israel from football.
02:19The UN Commission said it was time for football to take action, having concluded that Israel was committing genocide in Gaza.
02:27European football's governing body, UEFA, is expected to vote next week on a possible suspension.
02:32It would mean Israel couldn't take part in upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Italy and Norway.
02:40While Israel became a full member of UEFA in 1994, having been excluded from Asian football competitions,
02:47any decision by UEFA to suspend Israel would be taken in a simple majority vote by 20 members of the governing body's executive committee.
02:55The committee includes UEFA President Alexander Schifferin, 16 elected members from across the continent,
03:03and representatives of the European Leagues and Club Association.
03:07A ban would mean Israel couldn't qualify for next year's World Cup as UEFA organized Europe's qualifiers.
03:14We will fight against any attempt to stop Israel from playing international football.
03:18Well, not my words, but it's a promise from U.S. President Donald Trump following calls to ban Israel.
03:24And the American president is showing he will hold the Trump card not only on that issue, but venues as well.
03:30As he says, he will move matches from host cities deemed unsafe.
03:34The finals will be jointly hosted with Canada and Mexico.
03:38Eleven U.S. cities are due to stage matches, including Democratic strongholds such as Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle.
03:45Earlier this year, Trump appointed himself as chairman of a White House task force for the World Cup.
03:52Any city we think is going to be even a little bit dangerous for the World Cup or for the Olympics, you know, where they have Olympic overthrow, right?
04:00But for the World Cup in particular, because they're playing in so many cities, we won't allow it to go.
04:05We'll move it around a little bit. But I hope that's not going to happen.
04:08The goal-scoring machine as Harry Kane continued his hot form in the German Bundesliga as he reached a milestone in Bayern Munich's 4-0 victory today.
04:19The England striker reached the milestone in 104 games, setting a new record ahead of Erling Haaland and Cristiano Ronaldo, who each needed 105 appearances for their club.
04:30Bayern have now extended their winning streak to eight matches in all competitions.
04:34We head to South America now, and three-time champions, Flamengo, have made it to another Copa Libertadores final, semifinal, that is.
04:45However, the Brazilians needed spot kicks to book their ticket, and Liverpool's Italian defender Giovanni Leone will miss a year out after tearing his ACL on his Reds debut.
04:56The Copa Libertadores side against Estudiantes, the Plata of Argentina, was decided in a penalty shootout.
05:04Augusto Rossi saved two spot kicks to put the Brazilians into the last four.
05:10And a major blow for Liverpool, the $35 million signing Giovanni Leone will be out for a year after tearing his ACL in the League Cup win over Southampton.
05:20The 18-year-old only joined from Syria's side Palmer this summer. The Reds face Crystal Palace on Saturday.
05:29And a record crowd is expected for tomorrow's Women's Rugby World Cup final, when Canada will seek their first title against the seven-time champions, England.
05:39England are in the seventh successive final in what is a repeat of 2014 at Showdown Day 1.
05:44Canada will be aiming for their first title, but they'll have to do it in front of an expected 82,000-capacity crowd in London.
05:55More the merrier. I think the bigger crowds we've had, that's really when big players stand up, and we're a team full of big players.
06:02So I've no doubt that more rise to the occasion. So yeah, really buzz in that. It's going to be full. I'm excited for it.
06:07Well, we have the links now, as Team Europe will take the advantage into Day 2 of the Ryder Cup.
06:13The Europeans made a hot start and maintained their lead at the close at Bethpage Black Course in New York.
06:20USA went 3-1 down in the morning session. President Trump then arrived for the afternoon at four balls as he greeted the players.
06:27And the host found another gear as Cameron Young and Justin Thomas won their four ball.
06:35But for the second time in the day, Tommy Fleetwood won his match.
06:39This time, alongside Justin Rose to take a commanding lead, Europe are currently 5-2 up.
06:45Our team Europe got some needed advice from someone who won the Ryder Cup, both as a player and as captain in Colin Montgomery.
06:52As soon as you answer back or let that affect you, you're not affecting you, you're affecting the team.
07:01And that is what we're here for. It's the team.
07:04So we do not answer back. We don't get involved. We don't think of it, don't take it personally.
07:11Can't take it personally. You'll never know this guy again. You'll never see him again in your life.
07:15You have to say the favourites of the home team with that extra 13th man, which of course is the crowd.
07:22The spectators are the extra 13th man. On paper, it's closer than that. It's closer than that.
07:29I think it's made very, very close to this.
07:32Well, the cricket gods have spoken and they have given us the final we all wanted to see in the Asia Cup tournament.
07:39As Pakistan has set up a third meeting with rivals India in the final.
07:43India won the previous two matches and insisted Pakistan is a rival.
07:47Now the Pakistanis have a chance to respond with a title on the line.
07:52On Thursday, Pakistan beat Bangladesh in Dubai to reach Sunday's final.
07:57India have won the two previous games with Pakistan.
08:00On both occasions, the team captains refused to shake hands ahead of play.
08:04One thing I can say about this team is that they're incredibly proud to represent Pakistan.
08:10And you can tell that, you know, every single one of them had belief that we could fight our way out of it.
08:18And that's what that's what you want in a team, especially representing your country.
08:22So, yeah, incredibly proud of the way we've fought.
08:26Well, don't try these things at home.
08:32Well, you can't do this at home, as I just said.
08:34As two men took to extreme heights to pull off a couple daredevil descents down slopes.
08:40As one went down the top of a skyscraper, while another from the top of Mount Everest.
08:45Sandro Diaz set a new record by riding a ramp from the top of the government building in Porto Alegre, Brazil, from 70 metres.
08:54The 50-year-old almost tripled the previous record, reaching a record speed of 95 kilometres per hour.
09:02And Polish mountaineer Andrzej Bargel has pulled off a world first.
09:07He's climbed Mount Everest without using bottled oxygen and then skied all the way back down.
09:12So, it's a feat that's been a decade in the making, after two previous efforts had to be aborted due to dangerous ice and weather conditions.
09:25It's time for the Play of the Day and we head to the Asia Cup.
09:31Play of the Day is brought to you by Flow. We keep your rhythm flowing.
09:37Mahesh Tekshana sent back Shubman Gill, caught and bowled.
09:40He was the first wicket to fall in what was a gripping match that could only be decided by Super Ova.
09:51India went on to win the contest in the Asia Cup, but when Tekshana took this catch, you knew you were in for an exciting match.
09:58And that's what fans got as Tekshana catches his way into tonight's TV6 Play of the Day.
10:04Play of the Day was brought to you by Flow. We keep your rhythm flowing.
10:10Well, the catch didn't win the match.
10:12I see Abouche will be back with more news after the break.
