00:09as a player was robbed of an expensive piece of jewellery in the early hours of the morning.
00:15Well, you could correctly, the incident reportedly happened around 2.50 a.m. as the player and two teammates stopped for food after leaving a private event.
00:24During the confrontation, the suspect grabbed the jewellery, but a firearm was also dropped during a tussle and later recovered by police.
00:32Although the player was not named, the franchise official says the players are safe and cooperating fully with authorities.
00:39The Patriots are set to play their final CPL group match on Thursday against the Barbados Royals.
00:45Meanwhile, a CPL spokesperson says as this is now a police matter, the league will not comment further while the investigation continues.
