00:00After earning a silver medal in the 400-meter event at the World Athletics Championships,
00:05TNT's Jareem The Dream Richards has been a busy man upon returning home.
00:10On Thursday morning, Bryden's group presented Richards with a special bonus
00:14in addition to his existing sponsorship contract,
00:17with Deputy Chairman Michael Conyers doing the honors.
00:21He's made all of us immensely proud. He's made the country immensely proud.
00:25And he has great things to come, I'm sure.
00:27So we'll be around sticking around with him for a long time.
00:30We're extremely proud of him.
00:32And Bryden's is happy to be part of his glorious achievements.
00:38Richards had a time of 43.72 seconds in Tokyo to make the podium.
00:44But he was grateful that Bryden's became a key sponsor in 2024,
00:48prior to his participation at the Paris Olympics.
00:52Y'all are like family to me.
00:53Since the first time y'all took a chance, you know, to partner with me,
00:59I felt the love, I felt the genuine feeling of that family love.
01:04Despite not meddling in France, Richards never gave up in life.
01:09Surrender he did, but to a higher power, whom he claims guides him at all times.
01:14Life we all go through one, you know, some sort of trial.
01:19And I would say last year was a trial for me.
01:22I ran the best that I could have run in the Olympic Games, finishing fourth, very close to our medal.
01:28So to be able to come back a year later with something tangible this time,
01:33something physical that I could actually show, I mean, it's all a testament of faith.
01:38It's all a testament of, you know, how important it is to have that support.
01:42Richards received $250,000 from government following his accomplishment in Japan.
01:49Vinod Nawani, Chiefs Export.
