00:00Hello and welcome to this South Australian Janesweather update for Friday.
00:04We have a weak disturbance crossing the far southeast corner today,
00:08otherwise there is lots of sunshine, just a bit of wispy high cloud that is moving through.
00:13We're going to have a lot of activity across these southern parts over the next week,
00:17so let's unpack that day by day.
00:19Starting with Friday the 26th, here's just that band of light and patchy rain that's moving through,
00:24clearing eastwards as the day goes on, otherwise bright sunshine.
00:27Let's have a look for what to expect as we go into Saturday.
00:31Here we go, it does look clear for Melbourne for the AFL Grand Final, mostly sunny, about 19 or 20.
00:37Here we have just a little bit of light wet weather, high pressure is sitting in through here by the end of the day.
00:43As we're going to Sunday, the next system is starting to build over the bite.
00:46It's here by the end of it, so there's just a little bit of light wet weather.
00:49That is still to come, it is for next week.
00:51Let's have a look at Monday.
00:53As this comes up, it's got some cold air with it.
00:55We've got the trough that is in here by the end of Monday.
00:59We'll just move that back.
01:00On that is a band of clouds.
01:02Now, underneath that is a very light and very patchy band of rain.
01:06You can see it's really not adding up to very much.
01:08All of the action is what is bringing over the bite here.
01:11Here is the low that is driving it.
01:13That is now going to move across Tasmania in through here as we go into Tuesday.
01:17So we're seeing that brush across the southeastern parts of South Australia.
01:21There could be some good falls with that one, but in terms of the connection up into the
01:25tropics, there's not a lot of that.
01:27It's just what it brings with it.
01:29So that's Tuesday.
01:30Let's now have a look at Wednesday.
01:31Here's the next weather system coming up.
01:32So that is breaking through by the end of Wednesday into Thursday.
01:36That's moving through.
01:37Next high pressure is here by the end of it.
01:39So we're on the cold side and we've still got all of that wet weather to come in.
01:43So that's Thursday heading to Friday.
01:45High pressure over here by the end.
01:47And by next Saturday, that high is out to the east so we can start to warm up again.
01:51Here's our first dipping down of that heat there.
01:54So normally we're focused on how much cold air it brings with us.
01:58But yes, the seasons are changing.
02:00We're seeing our first dip in terms of heat.
02:02So that could be a bit of a warm up as we move through Sunday and Monday.
02:05That's very, very late in the outlook.
02:07What is all of that going to add up to?
02:09If you're in the yellow area here, that's 25 to 50 millimetres, potentially around Adelaide as well.
02:14But it steadily decreases as you head inland because there is no real connection up into tropical moisture.
02:20So it is the southeastern corner and around Adelaide that sees the best out of this one.
02:245 to 10, 1 to 5 as you move through.
02:27So what can we expect for Adelaide?
02:28We're about 18 today, 15 into tomorrow.
02:31There's nothing really warm in the outlook.
02:33That isn't until the end of this particular period here that it may warm up.
02:37In terms of wet weather, not much as we move across the weekend.
02:40It really does hit on Monday, 12 millimetres, 7 across the models, 5, 8 and then 2 is what is left over by the time we move through there.
02:50So there is some cold air with that.
02:51Not much of a warm up in between each and some nice wet weather, particularly on Monday and then again into next Wednesday and a Thursday.
