00:00We're beating a dead horse with the New York Mets, but my question, can you pitch your way into October? They're not right now. They are simply not. Soto is doing everything in his power. Lindor is doing everything in his power to will them to October. But the pitching is their Achilles heel right now. I have so many questions as it pertains to their pitching. They need like literally three more good starts and they're probably there.
00:25Yeah, I think that's the clear angle of this thing. And then the other would just be who's going to step up on the back half of that lineup. You know, it's you mentioned Lindor. You mentioned Soto. You know, Alonzo is doing his job. Who else? Who's going to step up here? Vientos was great when the second half started. Now, not so much. McNeil's been bad in September. Beatty's been a little bit here and there. Mullins has not been good since they acquired him. Who's going to step up?
00:50And I think that's where I just keep looking at someone needs to take the pressure off of these guys at the top, because right now you can work around these guys at the top and then just know you can attack the bottom of the lineup right now.
01:00And you can't have a pitching staff, especially a good one feeling like that.
01:04Arizona all of a sudden has entered the conversation again, and they are more than capable of making up a game deficit in the final week of the season.
01:14They won seven of their last 10. They're one game back of the Reds and the New York Mets entering play on Monday.
01:21What's your burning question about Arizona in the final week of the season?
01:26Who the heck is going to close these games out?
01:28I honestly am at the point where I think the rotation can do a good enough job.
01:32Zach Gallin's back. Ryan Nelson is good.
01:35E-Rod and Fott will be serviceable enough, I think, in a four, three or four spot, especially with the way Fott threw last time out.
01:45If that's how you lose, that's how you lose.
01:47But that bullpen, man, I just, I don't know.
01:51Their safe situation guy, Jake Woodford, was just a fade.
01:55So now they bring up, you know, Philip Abner and they bring up Austin Pope and it's like Nabeel Krismat's now in the bowl.
02:01They're trying anything and hopefully something works.
02:04But that's the question right now is just who is going to be able to get the important outs for them in this last week.
02:09Did I see north of 10 guys have logged a save for the Arizona Diamondbacks this year?
02:14I think that is the case.
02:15They've had 10 guys log a save for them or more than 10.
02:18Might have been 12 or 13, but that is an unbelievable number.
02:21And Nabeel Krismat, I thought that guy was done three years ago.
02:25All of a sudden he resurfaces and he's wearing a nasal strip when closing out games for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
02:30And he's been good.
02:32I know he's been good.
02:33It is crazy that Arizona has re-entered the chat.
02:37But man, they always had this in the holster and now it's firing entering the final week of the season.
