00:00Take a look here at those Cincinnati Reds.
00:01By the way, nobody in this division is under 500 here.
00:04Barely above 500 are those Reds hovering here at,
00:07let me just see what that exact number is, 27 and 25.
00:10Decent at home, decent on the road.
00:12Minus 34 in run differential, but against 500 teams, Greg, not so good.
00:15One run game's good, but also look at that.
00:18Record 27 and 25.
00:19Expected win-loss, Greg, 22 and 30 right now.
00:23They got some good players in that lineup.
00:24And by the way, Chase Burns, absolutely filthy this season for those Reds.
00:29I saw them up close in Philadelphia last week.
00:31Yeah, I still do like the Reds.
00:33Is it, Donnie, is it possible that this is just a bad luck season
00:36to be in this division?
00:37Like, it feels like everybody in this division is good.
00:41And I think that if you put Cincinnati in the American League Central,
00:45they may have 32 wins or something like that.
00:48It's just one of those strange years where this division
00:51is the best division in baseball, which you never could have predicted.
00:54And I still do like the team.
00:55And as you mentioned, young players, Burns, Stewart, De La Cruz,
00:59the sky is high, I think, for this team.
01:02But unfortunately, they're playing in a division
01:05where everybody just seems to be winning every single night.
01:07You have no teams entering Memorial Day under .500.
01:10When have you ever said that on Memorial Day?
01:13So I guess it's just one of those things where I think the Reds can hang around.
01:19And I do think that they'll play better baseball.
01:22But they had that awful streak over, I think it was a 7-10 day period
01:26where they went 1-9 or something like that.
01:28And that kind of buried them.
01:29Got their first road series win of the season, of course,
01:33against my Philadelphia Phillies.
01:34And by the way, sometimes I like to study, like,
01:36the epic fall off of some power numbers.
01:39Eugenio Suarez, before the trade last year, you couldn't stop the guy.
01:42Goes to Seattle, it's like, yeah, the home runs aren't going to be as good.
01:45Ooh, back for the Reds now.
01:46Only three home runs heading into Memorial Day and hitting .223.
01:49Now, batting average was never his thing.
01:51But in that ballpark, I expect much more.
01:53So maybe some of those bats do wake up.
01:55But as you talked about, South Stewart, Ellie De La Cruz,
01:57two guys who can be cornerstones of a franchise
01:59playing really good baseball right now.
