We were hearing through the All-Star break, left and right, that the Yankees were going to get Suarez and Gallen.
00:08
Are you buying that?
00:11
I buy that's what they want to do.
00:14
You know, that's going to cost a lot.
00:16
Suarez hit 31 home runs, over 70 ribbies, plays great defense, with the nicest guys in the world.
00:24
So, I mean, Seattle would love to have him back, too.
00:26
And Gallen hasn't had a good year, but you look at the season, at least 3-0 against the Yankees and Mets this year, with 0-9-2 ERA.
00:36
He's a Philadelphia kid.
00:38
I think he's thriving at a big market.
00:40
I think he's going to end up back east of the free agent.
00:43
So, it would be a hefty price tag.
00:45
But, yeah, if you're the Yankees, that would solve two problems with one.
00:49
Well, the Mets have to do something as well, don't they, with their pitching?
00:53
If they think that they're going to go the distance with the Phillies?
00:57
Or do you think they're just an automatic playoff team?
01:00
Either way, it's either the east or a wild card, and they don't have to worry about anything.
01:05
Well, they could use some infield help, for sure.
01:08
Could use another arm in that bullpen.
01:11
Could use another starter, for that matter.
01:13
I mean, for a while, they had a surplus.
01:15
You know, now, you know, kind of struggling there.
01:18
So, I think they'd make the playoffs.
01:20
But I'm with you, Scott.
01:21
I think the Phillies are the team to beat in the east, just because that rotation is so powerful.
01:26
I mean, that rotation come October, I'll take that rotation over anybody in baseball.
01:32
Do you like the Brewers or the Cubs in the Central?
01:37
I like the Cubs, but I would not rule out the Brewers.
01:41
We do that year after year, just like we do the Rays.
01:43
And, man, a smart front office there with Matt Arnold, you know, great manager, and Murphy.
01:50
They get it done.
01:51
For them to, you know, the Cubs, everything pretty much went right.
01:54
Yeah, they lost Justin Steele, their ace, but playing on their minds.
01:58
And here's the Brewers just chugging along just one game back.
02:01
So, man, the Brewers have done this so many times where they're sitting in second, third place at the break.
02:07
In the season, you look up, they got a 10-game lead.
02:09
How do you think Mizoroski will do when it gets, you know, stressful, you know, in a race against the Cubs?
02:21
He should do well.
02:22
I don't think it fazes him.
02:24
We saw that when he was on the center stage in Atlanta.
02:27
You know, he knew all the uproar about him being selected in the clubhouse.
02:32
It didn't bother him the least.
02:34
And pitched very well in that one inning.
02:36
It wasn't like he was wild or all nervous.
02:38
So, what he did in Atlanta gives me confidence that he'll be fine come October.
02:44
So, are those rumors about these cities that are, you know, they're talking about the All-Star Games and the like.
02:53
In 28, is it San Francisco in concert with the Olympics?
02:58
Because I know they don't like the dates of the Olympics in Los Angeles, Manfred and company.
03:02
What do you know about that?
03:05
And what do you know about, because we've heard, you know, Wrigley Field is in the mix here in the next year or two.
03:14
Where are these All-Star Games going to be?
03:17
Well, next year, Philadelphia for sure.
03:20
2027, Wrigley Field for sure.
03:22
They'll be announcing that on July 30th.
03:24
That's a done deal.
03:26
2028's wide open.
03:28
Could they do it in conjunction with the Olympics and have, say, Anaheim or San Diego with Petco Park, you know, do that?
03:35
Maybe.
03:36
But right now, if there's no Olympic involvement, it'll definitely be, I'd say it should definitely, most likely be Toronto.
03:43
2027, Wrigley Field for sure.
