00:00A clean sweep, todo mundo está sweepando, você vê o 19 de Sascha Coonan, ele sweeps
00:05across o primeiro turno, oh e ele está colocado por Langenfelder e Langenfelder vai
00:10hit a fox hole shot line at the top of the hill, a great start for the defending
00:14champion and for the championship leader with an eighth fox hole shot of the
00:17campaign, but Kai DeWolf right there behind him on this opening lap, first and
00:21second in the championship, first and second in the race, down the hill and
00:25the shenanigans are started already, DeWolf already chasing and trying to
00:30squeeze and put the pressure on Langenfelder, he's going to come back for
00:34more as well, oh bar banging stuff, are we going to get this for 30 minutes plus two?
00:38I expected this, I said last night this championship is, there was 100% not over
00:43and you know, I mean this is mouth-watering how it's set up. Has he played his cards
00:47too early though, has he shown Ciro Langenfelder that's exactly what he's
00:50going to do, if it was me I would probably say you know what, get somewhere in a race
00:53and then maybe strike? No I wouldn't, I'd be doing this right away like he is
00:57because he's basically got to put Simon on the back foot you know and Simon's
01:02really going to push hard if he wants to make a gap here. Either way both heart
01:06rates of Ciro Langenfelder, Kai DeWolf absolutely spiked at the moment on this
01:10opening lap as Ferez leads the way, Langenfelder second, DeWolf third, Sasha Kuhn in
01:16there in the background and fourth, Matis Valan on the Kaosakis fifth, then we've got
01:19Everts, Adama, Latta, Kars Makers and Walvo, Elzing a racialist in 11th and 12th place.
01:25Both riders doing exactly what they needed to do, execute a start as perfectly as they could,
01:29they're there in the top couple of positions, Langenfelder got the foxhole shot as we said for the
01:33eighth time but Kai DeWolf knew exactly what he wanted to do, that first downhill instead of turning
01:38right, he was drifting left, wanted to tag the front end, didn't quite pay off, I'm sure he'll get
01:43opportunities if they are presented. Yeah and I think if we do see a replay of that I don't think
01:48he didn't execute it as well as he could have, he just probably over ran the position you know in
01:55terms of where he was on track position there and couldn't quite cover it the entire way so
02:02I'm sure he'll get another another shot at it but one thing that surprised me a little bit just in recent
02:07weeks with Kai it seems like the early parts of Emoto haven't been fired up that raw speed that we
02:13know of Kai so be interesting you know this has already had a yo-yo effect uh within less than
02:19two minutes hasn't it already so. Kai DeWolf closing back in on Simon Langenfelder whatever he tried on
02:25the opening lap didn't work he's coming back for more at the end of this first official lap remember
02:29finish line to finish line will determine a registered lap and a lap time and because of where the start is
02:35which is after where they land from the finish line you get off the gate hit the line you still
02:39haven't completed a full lap bizarrely those long deep ruts very challenging at speed that hill is a
02:45lot steeper as well those bumps are a lot bigger so these guys working at 10 tenths on parts of the
02:51track like that with so much going on to somebody who isn't a motocross fanatic let's say and watching
02:56this for the first time it's so difficult to comprehend exactly what is going on every part of your body is
03:03working overtime to try and keep that bike stable yeah absolutely that that part in particular that
03:07you're talking to Paul that's an extremely technical part of this track you know you've got an enormous
03:12amount of force being transferred down into the base of the suspension because the bike's jeering out
03:17you're following a rut you know that's only mere inches wide and it's such a long uh rut you know
03:23that they're following for at speed so yeah very technical piece of the track there. Simon Langenfelder
03:28sets the fastest lap of the race so far then on that official lap 138.6 but he's only a couple of
03:33tenths uh quicker than either Ferez or DeWolf so very evenly matched Ferez leading again and in terms
03:39of uh laps led Guillaume Ferez is one of those riders that has led 13 laps so far this year coming
03:46into this weekend so 14 now for the Spaniard on that monster energy triumph but is his lead under threat
03:52because Simon Langenfelder has broken free for now from Kai DeWolf doesn't want to get stuck behind the
03:57Spaniard here because he knows he's going to be on a hiding to nothing if he's not careful if he leaves
04:01the door open if he goes too defensive and that could also have a detrimental effect to where he is
04:06in this uh championship battle at the moment and this race battle I think you know you've got to
04:11really say right now you know how that started and be able to withstand you know that attack that
04:17Kai put on uh Simon there right away he's he's really seems to have settled into his race already and
04:23uh to me it looks like he's comfortable uh it doesn't look to me that looks anything out of
04:30sorts so yeah this it's uh I'd say that's a first tick in the box for him to be fair we had David
04:36Carly on our studio show on Saturday and one of the questions we asked was are you surprised by the
04:41level of his consistency uh a few riders did that and he said no but also in dealing with these kind
04:49of conditions and he just said uh particularly about coming into the championship finale
04:55kyda wolf was in this situation last year he won the championship at the final round against his
04:59teammate lucas kunan langefeld has never been in that position he's been third overall in the
05:04championship the last three years and one thing that langefeld and maybe does have on his side is
05:09decali ktm the red bull ktm side of you know the decali racing team they have been in that position many
05:15many times with antonio cairoli with jorge prado um and so they know the advice to give and advice
05:22at this stage of championship does it fall on deaf ears or does it get soaked up and absorbed because
05:28they've been there before even if langefeld hasn't well you know just to hear you know your point to
05:34that and i i really agree they've been mentoring him through this process you know at the tail end of
05:39this championship but i believe it's wider than just this weekend because what i've seen
05:43in the past few rounds from him you know this has been a tight championship now for quite some time
05:49and he's definitely being able to he's he has been able to withstand that pressure and and keep knocking
05:55off wins he hasn't gone into any what i've seen oh rez dance that front wheel out of that rut uh hasn't
06:02gone into any uh championship mode you know at this point right now you know it's fair to say that he he
06:08could you know let one position go and slip into a comfortable third follow kyle all the way to the
06:14finish but you know you don't see any sign of that whatsoever so yeah to your point uh i'm sure they've
06:19mentored him very well and they've had a lot of experience in winning championships well he said
06:24that's so close that is isaac gifting had a quite a serious crash there yesterday in time practice
06:29yeah yeah yeah it's uh as you come out of there that rut has a tendency just to dig in and straighten
06:34you up off to the left and uh one nervous cookie right there rasmus jorgensen he was also a guest on
06:38our studio show yesterday and the question to him was do you and fundamentally kai still believe you can
06:44win the championship and he said we have to there's no other way around it and the other question was
06:48even though it sounds silly is it a case of just going out and winning every race and just leave
06:52everything else to chance and he went that's all we can do as well you know our goal is to come here
06:55win every single race apply the pressure that way he won the qualifying race he's not leading at the
07:00moment but he's got langerfelder right where he wants him and that he can do exactly with what he
07:05wants as well you know what i mean as we saw him on the on the opening lap try to get inside the head
07:10yeah it's just crazy like you look we're four laps in we've got 22 odd minutes you know 23 minutes to run
07:17and the the yo-yo effect in this race already you know and oh you know already and in the space of
07:23what's that six minutes or eight minutes you know it's uh it's really yo-yoed quite a lot already
07:29to wolf will he go to the inside here yes he will will he jump long will he can't because it's a
07:33a bit of a split section through there langenfelder though he knows he's back under pressure every time
07:40kai de wolf closes in he'll hear that husbana breathing down his neck and then that puts him
07:44under pressure does he go defensive and if you do go defensive say after pit lane for instance where
07:49you've got that right into those downhill waves if you don't get clean drive out of there and
07:53de wolf rails the outside guess what we could see a pass in those next couple of corners he's got
07:57to be close though and able to execute i think specifically with that step up uh you know and
08:01just in terms of approaching that if you're going to go to the inside the pass has to be on like
08:07yesterday you know when he when he passed from into the lead and went past sasha but if you're not
08:12in a position to actually you know force that pass and um and really capitalize you've got to go the
08:18long way and keep the speed because it just it's a compounding of oh de wolf almost out the sunroof
08:25as he hit the finish line at the end of lap four he just set the fastest lap the lap previous
08:31i think he spooked himself oh no i think he spooked himself there because he would have come into land
08:36and he would have been all i mean it's weird actually i was watching that down uh the landing
08:40yesterday in the free practice where it was still a bit stodgy and if you came up short you met you
08:45bounce and ran too wide into that next turn and i think he may have just missed his turn in point
08:50back onto the start straight massive moment there and that's two in the weekend for dwarf one in the
08:54qualifying race and now this one a third one third yeah he had a major moment uh in the sand section
09:00before the s-bend into the mechanics rear wheel actually exactly like that dance over that top edge
09:06uh in the sand and yeah it's uh went from right to left uh you know but he's a big powerful lad you know
09:12he's already started to to pull that that gap in that he just lost through that mistake so it's yeah
09:17it's gonna be a this is gonna go all the way the wire this this championship well put it this way
09:23langenfelder isn't scoring 13 points more but what he is doing is extending his lead out to 15 as it
09:30stands right now because it was 13 coming into this race so dwarf knows he's got to go he's got no choice
09:35langenfelder and ferez that battle tightening up for the lead
09:38yeah it's inside one i think there's one interesting one interesting point here just to note in this
09:45category there's a lot of enemies in this category you know there's uh there's not well there's not a
09:51lot of allies is what i'd say and so that's uh be interesting to see here with freeze i think freeze
09:57will race him hard this was one lap ago kyderwolf on this part of the racetrack at the end of lap four
10:03when he hit that finish line jump as we uh try and keep tabs on what's going on this look at this
10:09just completely out of shape landed and then that's as much as we saw i was thinking we were
10:13going to oh i was expecting he probably missed that uh that apex i would say just the time he lost
10:19big moment in the race here langenfelder going after gianne ferez gianne ferez no allegiances with
10:23any of the two riders ahead of him in the championship and uh it's bar to bar oh i say he's got no
10:28allegiances he's got big elbows that spaniard and he tried to make it as difficult as possible for
10:32langenfelder to take over the lead and it's not done yet either i expect that from him just the
10:37way i've watched him race all season he doesn't give an inch uh this guy and then i can't recall he
10:42he hasn't won a moto yet that that i'm aware of so this is you know this is a big opportunity for him
10:47right yeah oh he has one he won a race in uh germany second race there he didn't know he'd won it
10:53until he got to the podium and got second overall but uh him and camden have both won a race this year
10:58so steps in the right direction that is a very handling well on that section very tricky part
11:05of the racetrack as we've already covered but dwarf now knows he's also got a guy after ferez
11:10he wasn't able to do anything about langenfelder but this one should be easy enough and it is
11:15fans on their feet over on that bank but outside normally works but not this time
11:21first and second in the championship first and second in the race it's still game on eight and a
11:25a half minutes plus two laps to go we are expecting a little rain as that front was surfing a little
11:31bit too deep into that turn we may get rain by the end of this race maybe mxgp race one i know about 15
11:3720 minutes down the road it's already been absolutely hammering down so that could also change the
11:41complexity of this race well when i left the hotel this morning i packed the jacket because it was
11:45running down the street it was torrential so you know it's it's um we've got a rider here going
11:51down this is just after pit lane does he fold the front oh yeah just down off the side of the bike
11:57it's one of your guys and it's seth morrow from new zealand yeah kiwi out there first time with a
12:02wild card entry just as this race takes a bit of a breather here at the minute two seconds between
12:08these two uh you've come over with your own sort of like uh tour of kiwis and australians you and josh
12:13coppins of course uh good mates good race partners as well from way back when 20 years ago like all of us
12:20how has that been because you're educating a new audience to mxgp aren't you like none of those guys have
12:25been to mxgp never even probably been out of into europe to even see a motorcycle race yeah so we've
12:30got 40 guests uh we're hosting here for the weekend and put together you know for them to come and
12:36experience uh mxgp it it's uh a couple of them have uh been across the world followed josh and myself but
12:42for the most part it's the first time and that's why we uh you know put it together because being so close
12:48to new zealand it's only you know three hours from brisbane another three hours here so six hours of travel
12:53uh for them to come and experience you know the highest level of what we have in our sport and
12:59what i noticed was obviously i mean i i was up on uh you know as one of the speakers kai his trainer uh
13:05ruben calvin vallana and also attended and you're talking to them and getting them to open up to this
13:12crowd of people who haven't experienced for the most part this here and just getting them to open about
13:17their their journeys and their season and kind of things that they do in their day-to-day lives and it's been
13:21quite an uh quite an eye of the form i imagine it has been here's the replay of the start then
13:28sasha kunin thought he got the whole shot but he got bumped by langenfelder his teammate that opened
13:35the door for him and de wolf crucially because de wolf was pinched to the inside at that moment
13:39langenfelder over the foxhole shot line for the eighth time and then watch this here down the hill
13:43we'll get that again in a minute hopefully watch how close it is here between langenfelder who cuts back to
13:48the inside he knows he's got the distance then just runs into langenfelder maybe or maybe the front
13:52wheel just broke traction but that was langenfelder getting the whole shot anyway and then this is uh
14:03yeah see that's that corner that's coming out of the final turn at the penultimate turn into those
14:07waves so just about to gain a position loses one to voland is now down into fifth place but yeah an
14:13eye-opening experience just to wrap this up uh for your uh your group of people this this weekend
14:17yeah absolutely and i think you know josh and i and be the same for yourself but we just take it for
14:22granted the people we know and uh you know the opportunities or introductions that we can make
14:27uh you know for these for that crew so they've thoroughly enjoyed it and i've really enjoyed
14:32you know to have them or giving them the opportunity to experience it's been cool yeah i noticed also when
14:38the practice starts were on saturday morning you were down there with a group of them explaining
14:42about revs and mapping and all these kind of things so it's just it's just a level that you know a lot
14:47of kiwis um they're just not accustomed to they don't they don't know that that level of the sport
14:52and so for them it was just a it's just a great opportunity to give them that insight yeah it's been
14:57really enjoyable good job 138 last time around for dwarf again another fastest lap this time he pulls it
15:02back to the 140s and uh he's gap 1.3 one thing i will say and i think i mentioned it the other night
15:08simon langerfelder every time he's been backed into a corner and the wolf has got a bit closer
15:12in the points chase he's always come out swinging we saw it last weekend in china we've seen it in
15:16turkey we've seen it many many times just see games it's almost like kai takes one step forward two
15:20steps back because the german comes out swinging we're seeing that again here in this first race
15:25kai tried to ruffle him up at the bottom of the hill opening lap one or two other areas
15:29this is mcclellan on that same part of the track and uh so far it hasn't worked and that's just
15:35kind of i don't know enameled that langerfelder a little bit more you know it's given him another
15:40shield of armor he's just batted it off yeah i totally agree there and you know to to the exactly
15:45to the point in this race that would have been a very challenging moment you know we were 20 seconds
15:51from the start at that point you know and already we had fireworks you know going galore so for him to
15:57be able to then take a breath and focus on just racing forward and not looking back or surrendering that
16:03position i think it's feeling uh impressive to be honest with you carlos racial is here 47 monster
16:09energy yamaha he has got camden mcclellan behind him they are in ninth and tenth latter just ahead of
16:14him latter didn't finish the uh qualifying race yesterday here's elzinger or is uh the home people
16:20from holland call him rick elzing so been giving me jeep over that for the last couple of years but
16:26doesn't roll off my tongue or off the back of my throat as easy as it should do but elzing in a good
16:32position there in 11th i'm sure he'd like to be higher of course but um yeah
16:40the softer conditions he was probably hoping would favor him a little bit more but it's a strange mix
16:44isn't it hard and soft see that time there it's yo-yo back out again you know there on three seconds
16:49a lap ago that was 1.2 so that you know it's a real real you know uh fight there at the top of that
16:56just i guess that's the thing that's probably standing out to me with with simon like he's able to
17:01just withstand that pressure and continue to look forward he's not racing back uh at all and when
17:07you think three times third overall you think does he ever get his opportunity he's held the red plate
17:12since latvia round 11 this is round 20. um like i say him leading this championship and dealing with
17:21everything that that comes with that is a massive sign of growth isn't it from okay it didn't happen
17:26from year one to year two two to three but this fourth year where he's in that great position
17:32that is a real sign of growth isn't it yeah and like you said i think that a big factor in that would
17:37be uh working with that well that was an easy pass yeah uh conan down the inside of ferez so trying to
17:44make a move a couple of laps ago didn't make it happen he'd already got passed by valand so he's
17:49passed the land and ferez in the space of a couple of laps so sasha kuner massively on the charge
17:57massive crash his rear wheel hit ferez's front wheel and he came in they were both scrubbing and
18:05we've got drops of rain there so as they took off i wonder whether the back end just yeah but lit up and
18:10then they tagged as well mid-air because you see ferez huge crash they're deflated down there watch
18:16this here oh we didn't see it at that point that changed his trajectory and ferez right let's have
18:21a look now we've got a better angle he's already jumping across yeah just tags the front end that
18:29changes the position of both riders down that hill look at that bike cartwheeling
18:34hopefully he's okay i mean he got up and stood up and walked away but
18:40you didn't expect anything less did you no i mean how much of that was him sort of going across
18:45from right to left as well when he probably didn't need to
18:49you know but he's deflated now absolutely he is bike bent that bike will be buckled absolutely a
18:59mechanics nightmare when you've only got a certain amount of spare parts in the crates over
19:02there down in the paddock yeah are you okay yeah get the bike back or is he just going to go back
19:08out i don't know he's going back out he's not done 10 second tom didn't even realize he crashed
19:15that's good to see though i'm not sure why he pulled in to be honest i think he just pulled over
19:19to give his goggles back you know he's just going to ride back to the paddock good cost saving yeah
19:24well anyway one of the australians here number 13 deacon place where is he he's in 14th place at the
19:34moment just ahead of seth morrow your kiwi buddy adrian mon here he normally rides an emx 250 he was
19:39in 16th cars makers on the bike at kawasaki down in 17th but he's only done nine laps we'll wait for
19:44him to get over the line again in fact he hasn't gone through the final yes he has now through the final
19:48sector the gap at the head of the field langen falder under wolf has the tide turned there it's
19:53now 3.1 seconds with 10 minutes plus two laps to go or dare we say it has the wolf taken a breather
19:59and just said you know what let's just regroup and go again it's down to 2.2 because he's just put his
20:05best sector in sector three what are the sectors 29 1 28 6 the wolf gains 26 0 even stephen about the
20:12same in sector three another couple tenths pull back in sector four you know what the wolf still
20:17has to believe that this one is you'd rather go into the race what uh 10 points down rather than 15
20:24yeah or you got a three-point swing here right as opposed to when they're in second and third and
20:28there's only a two-point swing so you know effectively yeah they're better off positions in the race but
20:34if the if they trade positions here it's a bigger swing in the parts of kai right and if and if uh push
20:40does come to shove if you know what i mean i think push is going to come to show two point
20:45they're 11 and a half seconds clear for rares it would depend if that happens how much time he needs
20:51to sort of get back up regroup and all the rest and will he lose a position again so does he gain
20:55three points or does he gain five you know what i mean so still not over and all in the name of
21:02gamesmanship yeah yeah interesting uh you know just uh that we're in this scenario i know this late in
21:09season it's not very often that we get a championship that goes really this is going to go down to the
21:14final lap yes by the final motor right certainly in mx2 we had it in mxgp what 21 with jeffrey tim and
21:20and roman camden mcclernand applying the pressure forces his way down the inside of valerio latter
21:26moves into seventh place so camden back on the charge late in the day with eight and a half minutes to
21:34go all in eight plus two that's the message for perez who is sitting there in third hasn't been on the
21:39podium since his second overall in germany round 10. so he's eyeing up another podium if possible
21:49got a fourth in turkey so just missed the podium two rounds ago which was the start of this three in a
21:54row rain starting to fall a little bit heavier now look how shiny that downside is on the finish line jump
21:59takeoffs are going to be similar as well elsewhere on the track so if it does continue to rain and fall
22:05a little bit heavier which we are mostly expecting for around about now be an interesting mxgp race and
22:11it might be an interesting end to this mx2 race as well because that gap is not 2.1 seconds anymore
22:17we will get the next split coming up the hill in the opposite direction for that uphill triple in the
22:24background so it was 2.1 but as you can see dwarf has got his claws in and he is going after langenfelder
22:33the gap now down two we're not going to get the update there but 2.1 it is but you can see it's not
22:41that some of these berms are precariously close to the outside you push too hard in there either
22:45the front or the back is going to go over the back and uh that will halt your momentum that's sure
22:49that's just the nature of a new track bill right just sort of working out you know the tweaks that
22:53are going to happen you can see in the background there you know some of the boards have been
22:56pressed through but i think you know overall yeah they've done a fantastic job of the track
23:01and it races good as well doesn't it it's very it's technical uh there's more than one line multi-line
23:06yeah yeah yeah and i think just really really cool features you know for a you know a first built
23:13track they've done a very very good job with the features you know there's one of the features there
23:17and of lap 13 then the gap down to nine tenths of a second all of a sudden oh langenfeld almost
23:24folded that front just there i think you're probably starting to see just some of those areas that are
23:28a little more hard pack uh you know if there is a little bit of moisture out there it's certainly
23:34oh this is we're on here we are definitely on this was what he tried to do at the start of the race
23:39down that inside defensively this time though for langenfeld did not want to leave the door open
23:44that's a better line down the inside there langenfeld has uh used that all race he actually made the
23:49pass there for the lead didn't he oh yes just just slightly shorter and it looks like the outside
23:55well that was fast there from kai uh he likes dancing around on the back wheel we saw it in uh
24:00in arnhem yeah that one particular part of the racetrack down that back straight
24:04see here's the section i'm talking about you've got if he wants to go inside he has to be
24:08very very close i don't think this is on oh he goes down he folds him in half that's the opportunity
24:16that he wanted they knew it was coming as well he picks himself up the gap was 16 seconds he may
24:22survive a pass from ferez but that was an opportunity that kai took with both hands he couldn't do it on
24:29the opening lap he got his opportunity this time around if you're a langenfeld a fan you know what you
24:35are going to be putting the voodoo doll into practice right now bike straight by the look of
24:41it yeah handlebars look good leave us i don't know the right hand side looks slightly bent twisted but
24:46from the most part it's rideable to stay in second position you know like we've got five minutes plus
24:51two laps i i really don't see him the calming nature of the boss man there claudio decali just
24:57saying look it's still good just keep it calm but did he get any injury in that kind of fall as well
25:02because you know he got folded up in the bike the bike would have hit him in the back who knows
25:07but you can't say it wasn't coming he knew exactly what kind of wolf was going to do on the opening
25:11lap i don't think that move was on that turn i just didn't think he was close enough he didn't
25:15look close enough you're right it would be interesting to watch that back and just see if um
25:20simon was was just a little season in the corner maybe cost him 11 seconds that crash because kai went
25:25around at 142 okay he dropped his lap time as well as a result of the tangle watch this here he just knew he
25:31he had to commit and he went i'm going for the outside checked up that was bad race awareness
25:36there from yeah you know he he could he should have been able to see him you know what that was
25:41almost like smx a couple of weeks ago deegan and kitchen if deegan is going to go all the way around
25:46the outside expect to move down the inside however it's going to end do you know what i mean
25:49especially in these circumstances yeah exactly you know you he he knew that the guy that was behind
25:54and was his his title rival you know so he should have been better weight uh race awareness there i
25:59believe and uh if he didn't make the pass there or if he did and langenfeld has sat behind him he knows
26:05he could have just sat behind him in that second position or opened up a moment on the track to try
26:10and regain that lead but like i said kai showed his hand right in the opening lap so he should have
26:15expected it and uh you know rubbing's racing and all the rest of it now there'll be some people out there
26:19going it was dirty it was this it was that but as uh as long as this championship has been in play
26:25since 1957 as a world championship that is what riders do to get the job done you know these guys
26:33are going for a championship they're you know they're here they're not just weekend warriors
26:36they're earning a living there's a lot of money on the line and championships and bonuses and things
26:40like that and for kyda wolf a two-time champ for simon langenfelder world champion for the first
26:45time in the first german since kenny roxon in 2011. um but like we say he knew exactly what he
26:51wanted to do his game plan was if i get close i'm going to try and rough him up well that's what he
26:54did he did a little bit more than that he cartwheeled him down the straight yeah he knew that it was
26:58exactly the game plan we saw that from right here in the section you know 20 seconds after the gate
27:03dropped that that was his game plan and uh if he was going to get another opportunity you know that it
27:08was it was going to continue in that direction and that's exactly what we just saw to be honest i don't
27:13believe that uh you know you you make the point that about dirty or rough racing really you know he
27:21the past was actually what he was well clear at that point they they collided oh no i'm just saying
27:26like some people will look at that and say that's true the point i want to make is they were side by
27:30side and he was half a bike earlier and then that's langenfelder then to check out rolled out of it
27:35because he's there he sees what he what room he has to work with and didn't just misjudge the situation
27:41but there you go we've got a change for the lead de wolf leads big talking point
27:53but that's the championship with this race going down to two minutes now plus two laps if de wolf
27:58wins race two langenfelder only needs a fifth place in race two to uh to be crowned world champion but
28:05we don't know okay he's still riding the bike may be damaged he might be a little bit second now but just
28:09riding through it riding on adrenaline maybe he'll go back that one hour when he cools down
28:13hopefully he's okay of course we want a great title battle going into that race but if there's more
28:17of the same early on in race two oh there's no doubt there'll be more of the same i mean you
28:23you know you put him on the back foot now really i know he's still obviously you know going to go on
28:27what's that with a 10 point lead like you said but certainly you know uh kai is going to have a lot of
28:33confidence and know that you know he he's going to ride him exactly the same uh going into moto two
28:39evans in uh fifth place this is valand in fourth position so a couple of laps to go as the rain
28:47just begins to fall once more the hottest place in australia no sun all year round we just said you
28:53know if you want to avert a climate change crisis and uh bring water to your community bring mxgp in
28:582025 we'll bring we'll bring buckets of rain i was explaining to the guests that uh part of our
29:02group that uh i i experienced 16 events in europe and i think 13 but we i seem to i seem to drag the
29:09rain around with me well we've definitely done that this year and we've still got it here in aussie
29:16but uh anyway there you go so langenfelder at the start of the race with that foxhole shot he's 35th in
29:22the career eight for the season and he was doing a good job leading the way from the front until kai de
29:27wolf came through railroaded his way up the inside of the red bull ktm rider to take over the lead and
29:33when you've got a game plan it's whether you can execute or not part one of his job has been executed
29:36perfectly in his eyes in his team's eyes it's been interesting here for liam you know he's got an
29:43opportunity to to jump up what's it from fifth to third and uh freezes he seems to have uh dropped the
29:49anchor out a little bit he really looked quite strong there in the in the early parts of the race but
29:54he hasn't been able to maintain uh those lap times now yeah deacon right uh deacon pace here one of
30:03those uh of two australians but um byron dennis where is he i don't think i see him on the uh on the
30:13scoreboard the other one riding 265. so i wonder if uh he had issues yesterday in the qualifying race but
30:23here's kai de wolf two to go for the defending champion
30:30interesting the the lead yeah after the after the crash from an exchange of the lead it was 11 seconds
30:37right yeah it sort of just started to to drop down it was eight when i when i saw and now it's six
30:44oh that's slick isn't it yeah just so coming to land i wonder oh is that langefeld is just behind him
30:50no that's uh kuna oh yeah just looking down to avoid the roost but um but yeah 45 lap time for
30:58dwarf last time 43.3 and uh for dwarf i think he's just gone into right just just bring this one home
31:04save some energy might need it in race two who knows just just uh over the top of that looking
31:09molly hill that that is slick you can really see now those faces on especially you know on those
31:15larger you know crests and whatnot where they're not ripped or tilled they're very very slick now
31:22even there look so dwarf now moving across more middle to the left and this was a crash this was
31:27downhill where uh sasha kunin went down so polished already on that part of the track and yeah he would
31:33come in and scrub but then if that back end just gets offline because it was over scrubbed because
31:37of the slick conditions yeah that's why he tagged the front end of ferez stood ferez up and he ended
31:42up changing direction and off the back of the motorcycle then a lot of the low areas as you can
31:47see here there's a lot of sand mixed into the soil but all of those ramps and high areas you know they
31:52just don't have the same amount of sand percentage of sand in them you know this is a very good point
31:58right here you know there's just no sand in that so that's a lot harder soil you know when it's packed
32:03down and baked so into the final lap kaida wolf a 6.8 second lead it's been an eventful race for him
32:13as well as well as for simon langenfelder because uh all the talking points coming in it was 16 points
32:20gap heading into the weekend 13 after the qualifying race in uh heading into the yeah 13 after the qualifying
32:26race heading into race one today de wolf knew exactly what he needed to do of course come out try
32:31and win the race maybe even ruffle simon langenfelder had that opportunity early on didn't pay off
32:37sat back lost about three seconds and then all of a sudden in the space of a a lap blink of an eye
32:43he was second and a half and then right onto the rear wheel and got an opportunity
32:48and uh at the end of liquid molly down this hill into the next right at the end of this straight
32:54and he took that opportunity with both hands as he cut to the inside jumped long
33:00made the pass and then the two riders came together
33:05like i say eventful andre odamo sixth couldn't come and win the championship this weekend so third
33:12was on the cards for him but i think after this one he's now going to be guaranteed third place in
33:17the championship because he's going to be more than 25 points clear in fact that was already yesterday it was
33:2158 between adamo and sasha coonan going into the race today
33:28but uh inverted commas comfortable in ben townley well i think oh and you know from my perspective
33:37it's what you know he had to do what he needed to do and uh and he's got the job done so just first
33:43taking the box kyder wolf wins race one here he's a step closer to a potential second world championship
33:52title but he's still got simon langenfelder to deal with who is 10 points clear going into the final race
