00:01Previously on Project Runway...
00:03Oh, my God!
00:05She's a designer, a model, and a bachelor.
00:09Ethan and Jesus, each of you are going to become the leaders of your own house.
00:14I always wanted to start my own house.
00:16It's going to be a battle.
00:18Jesus, you were our favorite house!
00:23Joan, Angelo, and Tutica, you created our least favorite looks.
00:27It's a very confusing design.
00:30So busy in all the wrong places.
00:33I'm sorry, Ethan should have been here and not Utica tonight, babe.
00:36I am really pissed off about this collection.
00:38They could all go home, honestly.
00:40I was in the top, I was killing it, and now...
00:43I'm just hoping they don't go home.
00:47At stake for the winner is $200,000,
00:50a spread in Elle magazine,
00:52and a life-changing mentorship with the CFDA.
00:55This is Project Runway.
01:05To be in the bottom is shocking.
01:07So I question my leadership, but I am not ready to go home.
01:12I feel like my vision and my expertise in this world of fashion needs to be seen.
01:18I'm really disappointed.
01:20It feels like shit, but I don't think my look was the worst look.
01:25It sucks, but it is what it is.
01:27Designer, job as you're ready.
01:29Oh, come on, y'all.
01:31Under the leadership of Ethan, I kind of just made the design to be a team player,
01:37so it really wasn't what I wanted to design.
01:40I'm very annoyed.
01:41You know, you never know.
01:43Maybe this is where I get eliminated.
01:46Whew.
01:51Angelo, Joan, Utica, you created our least favorite looks.
01:57We made our decision.
01:59Joan, you're safe.
02:00You can leave the runway.
02:02Thank you, guys.
02:03Angelo, your construction was bad, but your confidence was even worse.
02:20Utica, you failed as a leader, and you look disappointed as even more.
02:24One of you will be in, and one of you will be out.
02:35Angelo?
02:41I'm sorry you're out.
02:43Thank you, guys.
02:47Thank you for having me.
02:48Thank you, guys.
02:49I appreciate it.
02:54You can leave the runway.
02:59Utica, I just want you to know that this was not unanimous.
03:04If it was just my vote, you would get my offidas in today.
03:09I'm flabbergasted.
03:10I almost went home.
03:11Utica is my armor, and, like, to have this feedback that...
03:17...I need to, like, leave her at home to create beautiful work and let Ethan shine is a really tough pill to swallow.
03:25And it sucks.
03:28I'm out.
03:29No!
03:30I agree that it wasn't my best work.
03:33I disagree with the decision they made, but I guess they just didn't see the vision or they didn't think that I could push myself more.
03:41Angelo, I think you're incredible.
03:43I think you have a lot to do in this business.
03:46So good luck.
03:47Appreciate that.
03:48Send you to the workroom and clean up your space.
03:49Say goodbye to everybody.
03:50Peace out.
03:51Bye.
03:52I gave it my all through all three challenges.
03:55Bye, baby!
03:58I'm actually really, really proud of myself for trying new things and not being scared to push certain boundaries.
04:03But I'm definitely leaning back once I get home to what I do best, which is menswear.
04:08Balania, congratulations.
04:09Congrats.
04:10Well deserved.
04:11Getting a win is definitely some gas in the tank to keep you going.
04:21And it's like, okay, I'm doing something right.
04:23Let's keep going in this direction.
04:25Ethan, it was close.
04:26It was very close.
04:27Tasting almost going home is definitely going to light a fire under my ass.
04:33My padded ass.
04:35But the house are no more.
04:37I'm so excited that I can finally just, you know, focus on me and my design.
04:44And I don't have to focus on, like, helping other designers, like dealing with Vijay.
04:49Cause girl, she's a bitch.
04:52Your first solo challenge is going to start sooner than you think.
04:58All these twists.
04:59Christian, I don't need another one.
05:01Oh my God!
05:03I have a...
05:04Hello!
05:05It smells of happy and sad tears in here.
05:10All right.
05:11Well, for your first solo challenge, Law's going to take you guys on a field trip.
05:18What could go wrong?
05:19Good luck!
05:20Good luck!
05:21Good luck!
05:22So I need you all to just follow me.
05:23So I need you all to just follow me.
05:27I need you all to just follow me.
05:28Nice.
05:29Right, came through it.
05:30So beautiful.
05:31No, too cool!
05:32Wow!
05:34There's a Giants there!
05:35Whooh!
05:36Abbott Elementary!
05:37Abbott!
05:38Oh!
05:40Not Abbott Elementary up in here, ch'ow.
05:41They're everything.
05:42Yes!
05:43As you can see, we have two people here from the biggest show on the planet, Abbott Elementary.
05:50Chris Perfetti and Lisa Ann Walter.
05:53We are kind of a big deal, I'm not gonna lie.
05:56So as some of you may know, Lisa and I play teachers.
06:00And we have been known to get into a fair bit of mischief on our show.
06:05Oh, did someone say fair?
06:09Because as you may notice, we are here after the school science fair, and it will be your job to provide the mischief.
06:17Designers, this is the Unconventional Materials Challenge.
06:26This is the end-all, be-all of Project Run, where you know every season is gonna be an unconventional challenge.
06:34So I'm like, here we go.
06:36Oh, I'm excited on RuPaul's Drag Race.
06:39I created this piece out of sleeping bags.
06:42That's the piece that put me on the map.
06:44That was all unconventional materials.
06:46So I feel like I can redeem myself from last week.
06:50Everything you see here is fair game to be used as materials.
06:55So everything from the science fair projects, to the craft table, to the sports equipment, to this banner up above you, can all be used in your work.
07:05This is a one-day challenge.
07:07You'll start work tomorrow.
07:09And designers, we do not want to see a bunch of junk hot glue to some fabric.
07:14We want to see something exciting, innovative, and creative.
07:18You have exactly 20 minutes to gather your materials for your unconventional look.
07:23Designers, ready, set, go!
07:28Go, go, go!
07:33I got a bunch of slinkies.
07:35This is the Joseph McCray pile.
07:38Do not touch it.
07:39I dare you.
07:40There's so much stuff, and I'm just like a kid, and candy stuff, just grabbing stuff.
07:45This is like my thing.
07:47I use a lot of upholstery fabrics and different kind of like plastics.
07:52So everything that I create is made out of an unconventional material.
07:57Ah!
07:58Joseph is grabbing everything in the kitchen sink.
08:00This is mine.
08:01And it's chaos around this gymnasium.
08:04This is so fun.
08:06Isn't it great to not be at work right now?
08:07Oh my God, I'm nauseous.
08:08Please stop.
08:09Okay.
08:10I really don't like to be rushed.
08:15This is really out of my element, and it's out of my zone of creativity.
08:20I'm trying so hard to grasp onto anything.
08:24This is not how I work.
08:2610 minutes!
08:28This is mine.
08:29Those are my balls.
08:31I already have my eye on what I want to create and make.
08:34something really cool and structured with the material of the volleyball.
08:37I'm like, oh my God, what materials I'm going to use?
08:40And I see this volleyball.
08:42Like, I kind of want to use it.
08:44Hey, hey, hey, hey, what are you doing?
08:46A fight's working out.
08:47Fight!
08:48Fight!
08:49Fight!
08:50This is all mine.
08:51I think BJ is a little troublemaker sometimes.
08:53She clearly had to know that that was my bag.
08:56So what are you doing?
08:57Get the balls.
08:58Get another bag, BJ.
08:59I'll get another bag.
09:0010 seconds!
09:03Is there anything left in this room?
09:06Anything at all that you want?
09:08You want the net?
09:09Yeah, I want those two nets.
09:10Five!
09:11Four!
09:12Three!
09:13Two!
09:14One!
09:15Woo!
09:16I'm taking this, bitch.
09:19We said anything.
09:21Designers, we have no idea what you're going to make out of this stuff, but we can't wait
09:26to see.
09:27Good luck.
09:28Thank you so much.
09:30Bye.
09:31Child, I am so exhausted.
09:33There you go, baby.
09:34I got you.
09:35Just wheel me on out of here, because I'm done.
09:38I think this challenge is all about expressing who we are, challenging ourselves.
09:54No more helping, because this is not a group challenge anymore.
10:00So, no more helping your brother.
10:03I can't wait to see if the twins can handle an individual challenge.
10:08But I don't think it matters, because whatever they do, they're going to be working together
10:12as one.
10:13Here we go again.
10:14Miss Vijay just, you know, stirring the pot.
10:20Stop trying to make drama.
10:22Move on, everybody.
10:23Get your...
10:24Woo!
10:25Honestly, I can't wait to see what I actually got.
10:28What's she got going on over there?
10:30Who the hell knows?
10:34Bitch.
10:35It's over.
10:36I know what I'm going to make already.
10:38I'm really excited that I get to do the Unconventional Challenge.
10:42I'm making, like, leather bandit dress out of volleyball.
10:45To me, that's unconventional.
10:47I'm looking forward to, like, tapping into my creative juices.
10:51I think this challenge could give me another win.
10:54I'm so proud of it.
10:55I think we're going to kill it.
10:57I came into this competition to make it to the end.
11:01I do have my twin brother, and we always work as a team.
11:05But now it's like you're on your own.
11:08I have to prove myself to these judges to keep rising to the top
11:12and get that win that I'm waiting for.
11:13The last thing I want is to, like, end up in the bottom.
11:16Yeah, I don't think that's going to happen.
11:18What do you think? I should do red?
11:19I like the pink.
11:20Like Barbie?
11:21Barbie.
11:22Do Barbie.
11:23Okay, she's Barbie with the pink bitch done.
11:25I don't think it's fair that the twins are always working together
11:29because it's an individual challenge.
11:31And then I'll cover this in the paint?
11:33Yeah.
11:34That is sick, yeah.
11:35I already know what you guys can do together.
11:37I've seen it three times already.
11:40It's really a struggle to separate the twins,
11:44so at the end of the day, one of them needs to go home.
11:47Lucky charm.
11:59Everyone is so excited for the unconventional challenge every season.
12:03I say, no way.
12:05It's horrible.
12:06I'm losing it.
12:08These soccer balls are bringing us back to school.
12:11Yeah.
12:12I'm making this soccer ball top and miniskirt.
12:15It's going to be so cool and so sexy.
12:17You know, my whole life is this fashion.
12:20So when I was young, like, you know, in my childhood,
12:24I got abused for many years.
12:26Oh.
12:27And after that, I'm being like, you know, a boy who is very shy.
12:31I can't even look at people's eyes when I'm talking to people.
12:34But, you know, when my high school is coming, Lady Gaga came out.
12:38Yeah.
12:39She's so inspiring.
12:40She's the Boom Boom Gunny.
12:41I was dead.
12:43Yeah.
12:44From there, I get into this whole new world of music and fashion.
12:49You know, I feel empowered.
12:51Because of my childhood, I realized whatever I've been through,
12:56no matter it's good or bad.
12:58This is why I am who I am as a designer,
13:02and I can spread my message to the world.
13:09I have an idea.
13:10So you do a bomber that's, like, pokey.
13:12Or I was thinking about sewing it like this,
13:14and attach the whole jacket in the corner
13:17so I have pickable skin and the liquid juice underneath.
13:20It's annoying that the twins share the workload.
13:22But, girl, they've been together since birth,
13:25so it's going to take a lot of work to separate them now.
13:28But we'll see if we can get them more.
13:31Bubble wrap or tissue?
13:33I don't think that me and Antonio have an advantage
13:35in this competition, to be honest.
13:37Honestly, exactly what we do with, like, helping each other
13:41and bouncing ideas to each other,
13:42we have been doing with every other designer in this competition.
13:46Girl.
13:48Look at here, Miss Jung.
13:49Huh?
13:50You like this?
13:51You got a big old booty, huh?
13:53Good, right?
13:54Well, I don't understand what's going on.
13:56The bigger the better.
13:58Well, well, well.
14:01Hello.
14:04Can't wait to see how you guys measure up.
14:07Yeah.
14:08Your unconventional materials challenge.
14:11All right, I'm going to walk around.
14:14It's a shuttercock.
14:15A what?
14:16Shuttercock.
14:17Is that how you call it?
14:18Shutter or shuttlecock?
14:20For the badminton, like when you play badminton.
14:22I know you're badminton.
14:23I love playing with shuttlecocks,
14:25but never did I know that I will use shuttlecock for Project Runway.
14:29So I cut it.
14:30You cut it?
14:31And then...
14:32Oh, beautiful.
14:33They look like lace.
14:34I mean, they're really pretty.
14:35So all over?
14:37Most likely.
14:38That's why I want to make sure that I have something that it will hold on to.
14:42Yeah.
14:43This could be very beautiful because you'll have no idea what it is.
14:46I know.
14:47Which I love.
14:48Yeah.
14:49What was school like for you younger?
14:50It's really good.
14:51It was what?
14:52It's really good.
14:53I'm getting emotional because I had a good childhood.
14:55You had a great childhood.
14:56Yeah, so this is Tears of Joy.
14:57Yeah.
14:58Growing up as a gay guy, like a trans kid, like my parents supported me.
15:02Amazing.
15:03Yeah.
15:04They love me.
15:05So yeah.
15:06Well, that's good.
15:07Yeah.
15:08I grew up in Manila, Philippines.
15:10And if you're a trans woman living in the Philippines, you're not safe.
15:14But my parents embraced my uniqueness.
15:17So I grew up with love.
15:19And now I want to be the first trans person to win Project Runway.
15:24Ethan, didn't you just do this strip-themed thing?
15:30It didn't work.
15:32I got my hands on these really cool butterflies.
15:35It's going to be very referential to Alexander McQueen and just give a beautiful shape.
15:41I really want this to be good because I have a lot to prove, especially from this flop-a-tina of this last week.
15:47This is your challenge.
15:48You make amazing, incredible things.
15:50You've got to be so innovative here.
15:52Like, this is looking beautiful.
15:54I love it.
15:55But like, the whole thing has to be that.
15:57Like, go in your archives and be like, you know what?
15:59I made that amazing dress for whatever.
16:01Let's do something like that.
16:02Yeah.
16:03And they don't have that.
16:04Because I made some cool shit.
16:06You have such cool shit.
16:08Christian drives me up a wall sometimes.
16:11Let's go.
16:12Not there.
16:13Let's go.
16:14I, of course, take it with grace.
16:16But in my head, I'm like...
16:18Joan, that glitter paper and popsicle sticks?
16:25Are you serious?
16:26Joan, I swear to God, if you make a popsicle dress...
16:30Yes.
16:31Underneath is the corset.
16:32It's going to be like a Josephine paper.
16:35I get it.
16:36Inspiration type.
16:37I love that.
16:38So this is the corset there in the middle.
16:40And then I was able to curl the popsicle sticks to kind of make it set away.
16:47Oh, I think you should cut them and zigzag them or weave them or fold them.
16:53I really think they need to see who Joan is.
16:56Like, make it feel glamorous and beautiful.
16:58Like, they got popsicle sticks, so how are you going to do that?
17:00Mm-hmm.
17:01I hear Christian.
17:02I need to find a way to incorporate my style and personality into the popsicle sticks.
17:08So I'm going to spray paint the entire garment black.
17:11And I want it to almost look like a leather corset.
17:14Were you good in high school?
17:16Yeah, I was good.
17:17You were good in high school?
17:18I was a cheerleader.
17:19Oh, you were a cheerleader?
17:20Yes.
17:21I was captain of the cheerleading squad.
17:22You were captain?
17:23Yes.
17:24Wow, Joan.
17:29I'm learning a lot.
17:31It's to the next level.
17:33Hey, hey.
17:34Hey, hey.
17:35What are you doing over here?
17:40What is this material?
17:42Vinyl from the Gym Max.
17:44And I'm repurposing it as a raincoat.
17:47You can't make a vinyl raincoat.
17:50Like, no way.
17:51That already exists in the world.
17:53It's not innovative.
17:54It's not unconventional at all.
17:56Each challenge, I feel like I'm getting closer and stronger to understanding myself as a designer.
18:01But now that he totally took a poop on my idea, I have to throw it out.
18:06Okay.
18:07Nope.
18:08No more raincoat.
18:09I'm going to make a romper and just keep it going with a romper.
18:11Okay.
18:12That's going to look good.
18:13What are you doing?
18:14The inspiration is I want to do a coat with the hood and then...
18:19So the whole coat is going to be in these slag pieces.
18:23Yes.
18:24I'm making an oversized bomber jacket out of these slags stuffed with tissue with a vinyl bubble cocktail dress.
18:31You've got to make this coat amazing because it's kind of your moment.
18:36Yeah.
18:37And then with the dress, I just don't think it should be so sheer everywhere.
18:41Okay.
18:42All right.
18:43You have a lot to make.
18:44I'm excited.
18:45I am an amazing designer and stylist on my own.
18:48This design is going to improve without my brother.
18:51I'm a strong competitor.
18:52This is deeply out of my comfort zone.
18:54Deeply.
18:55Yes.
18:56You're not an unconventional girl.
18:57No.
18:58I'm struggling.
18:59Have you done anything like this ever?
19:00No.
19:01All right.
19:02Think about your clothes.
19:03They're a little 60s.
19:04They've got that kind of vibe.
19:05Mm-hmm.
19:06So why don't you play into this hard, futuristic-y, mod, weird, quirky, cool.
19:13Like, why can't it be that?
19:14Yeah.
19:15Don't lose, team.
19:16You're doing awesome.
19:17They love what you make.
19:18I'm just really worried about what I'm going to do.
19:22I'm in trouble.
19:24This is the banner from the science fair.
19:26I had this idea of doing, like, a jersey dress.
19:29Mm-hmm.
19:30Oh, so this is the shape.
19:32Kind of like a kimono-y.
19:34Yes.
19:35Me having a degree in electrical engineering.
19:37This is the perfect opportunity for me to merge my fashion and my technical background.
19:41So I'm using the science fair banner as the base of my garment.
19:46Electrical wires for the lace-up back.
19:49So it's giving this whole, like, cross between technology and fashion.
19:53Already your clothes and your shapes are fabulous.
19:56Mm-hmm.
19:57They already know you can do that.
19:58So maybe you should push the innovation.
20:01There's nothing to say, honestly, about Joseph's look.
20:05You see a square and a circle.
20:08I think he's afraid to take risks.
20:11They're going to love it or hate it, but they're going to see it, and they're going to know who it is.
20:14And that's always the goal.
20:16If what I see is what Joseph is going to send on the runway, he's going to go home.
20:22Hi!
20:23You love the tiniest skirt in the world.
20:24I'm going to add more panels.
20:25Oh, you're going to add more panels?
20:26Thank you so much.
20:27I'm sure she would love that, too.
20:28I love you, Chin, as a designer, but I just think that this look is just too revealing.
20:43But I'm just a little old lady.
20:45It's not unconventional if you're just using fabric.
20:50I got to get the fit right first before I make it pretty, Christian.
20:53You need a manual for this coat.
20:55Where do you put your arms?
20:56I didn't realize you didn't have much done.
20:58I'm looking for an intern.
20:59Do you want to apply?
21:00You can't afford me.
21:01What is happening?
21:04You have to get the dress done.
21:06No, I know.
21:07My plan of attack is to make a base and then cover it up with all the silver shit.
21:12It's just a bunch of sewing and a bunch of gluing.
21:15Oh, yeah.
21:16It's just like a bunch of sewing and gluing and making a whole dress.
21:18Oh, welcome.
21:19I am going to have to pull this one out of my ass.
21:23Oh.
21:24It's something.
21:28I tried this dress on Jessica and it is not doing what I need it to do.
21:33The vinyl is like super stiff.
21:35It didn't fall like I wanted it to.
21:38I got to realign.
21:39I got to readjust.
21:40What are you doing?
21:41You're just going to cut it?
21:42Yeah.
21:43I got to figure something out because I cannot send this down a runway like this.
21:49Designer.
21:50Say goodbye to your models.
21:55Be aggressive.
21:57Be aggressive.
21:58Be aggressive.
21:59Be aah are.
22:00Oh, my God.
22:01Oh, my God.
22:02Be aah are.
22:11Oh, a lot of work need to be done today.
22:14The runway is today, and I only have a couple hours to cover this.
22:19dress so i am locked in if i don't cover this whole dress i could be on the chopping block
22:30oh no it's well this is not going to work for me
22:35miss joe look what i made you
22:39okay no ma'am it's called the joan floss
22:44oh hello so before i send in your model there's just one small thing here we go
22:55the runway show is happening right here in the work room in two and a half hours
23:03yep right here let me tell you in this room you can see it all
23:08i really don't think what i'm doing is going to look very good in this lighting
23:15i'm in trouble this is the first ever in project runway history actually wow like we said in the
23:20beginning new home new rules i'm excited i feel like you need a model all right ladies let's go
23:27yeah what do you think that's everything madeline you're not done i'm really far behind this goes
23:37across the middle i love her but i don't like joan's look i just think it's so simple for the
23:43amount of time that we had well it doesn't look like a popsicle anymore i don't really know what it
23:48looks like so she's like a denim barbie yeah with a pink flag coat i am a little worried i'm not worried
24:03you did you see around the work room i mean jushin's look what is he doing with the soccer balls
24:08for me that's not unconventional it's just soccer balls caught up don't waste your worry on me
24:14you're very confident you gotta be confident we have 29 minutes it's the final stretch oh fabulous
24:23you just make it higher to here and just that's funny too i want the lashes big could you put two on
24:29here yeah this is sickening you ate that models have to be dressed i mean the whole booty is out
24:40i'm missing a piece here so you're getting an a it's a huge advantage to have your family member
24:45best friend and twin here i clearly need support obviously and i'm jealous i told you guys they're
24:52working together again they just have to deal with it all right designers that's it that's time
25:00models come with me it's getting spiked okay ready for a workroom runway show yeah the first ever
25:10i'm excited every designer better bring their a-game because workroom runway the lights are brighter
25:17closer judges so the design better be perfect i struggled and i'm really worried about it i'm
25:23thinking i'm gonna be in the bottom or kicked out this is pretty unconventional the runway everything
25:29let's bring out our judge for this unconventional materials challenge and yes our judge one judge
25:37oh judge come on oh my god one judge please don't let it be law please don't let it be law
25:45uh if it's not i'm screwed
25:52let's bring out our judge for this unconventional materials challenge and yes our judge
25:59oh judge
26:09the bitch is back what what the law oh
26:13the fda award-winning stylist image architect icon law ranch
26:24oh this is going to be interesting law is very critical in his judging he can really push your
26:30buttons and get that dark side out of you as you know i started the challenge with you so it was only
26:36right that i end the challenge with you yes for this first individual challenge you were tasked to
26:43make a look with unconventional materials from a middle school and a science fair at that that's hard
26:49i have no idea what you guys grabbed but i hope this runaway show is anything but elementary let's do it
26:55when my model is working on the wrong way i feel so excited so fresh and so happy
27:08i love my soccer bob miniskirt the booty i think it's super bold
27:18really proud about my work transforming charlotte cox and creating a piece that looks like lace it's
27:25a huge achievement for this challenge so i'm like okay i hope that they appreciate it oh my god maybe this is
27:32the time that i will win you know watching it walk down the runway it's not as bad as i remembered
27:42the lighting is actually helping it's shining it's reflecting i still think i'm going to be in the
27:49bottom as i'm watching it but i'm like it's really not as bad as i thought it was going to be
27:53i want snacks using this vinyl banner i am taking a chance that they may think it's not unconventional
28:06enough bad bad bad bad girl i just hope that law gets the vision of this like bad rebel school girl
28:14that does not care i want sex i want snacks let's go baby i think it looks cool i think it definitely
28:25looks wearable i think the colors are fun and bright that's the piece i'm the artist roll it definitely
28:32me bucket hat definitely me uh shorts absolutely me vest it looks cute i'm cautiously proud of it
28:42i'm determined to listen to my own individual design and voices
28:49come on rockstar i'm extremely proud of myself with what i created with unconventional i look at
28:55this look and i'm like wow i can totally see this like an artist for sure i want law to notice like
29:03all the hard work that it took to create this pattern out of just volleyballs i want him to notice
29:08the structure i want him to notice the material but i also want him to wonder what is it made out of
29:13because it looks really good i like my look going down the runway it looks super tribal and you can't
29:24really even tell that it's made from popsicle sticks it's supposed to be like a snake skin i think i
29:29was very successful in using these unconventional materials i met the challenge head on
29:42he's flying down the runway it's excessive there is a busy but very refined look to it law is really
29:52difficult to read but i know that i killed it this week so i'm excited to hear what he thinks
30:02i am like ethan was a gag my look is impeccably made i'm not concerned i feel like i made a runway
30:11piece i wanted the lights on her i wanted to walk that runway i understood the assignment i feel confident
30:16my look i can't wait for you to see who made this i'm gagged i am gagged i have no idea who made what
30:25it's a blind runway and it is stressing me out at this point of the competition i definitely feel
30:34like i still have to prove that i can do this by myself so here we go give me a win bitch
30:40all right law made some decisions oh god i feel like law and i have a hate and love relationship
30:51i'm nervous i truly have no idea who made what so i am gonna be so surprised it's a blind runway
30:59okay are you ready to see lost favorite look yeah yes wow good job oh wow which designer did this
31:14do you want to come stand by your look wow so long is that who you thought it was no no i am pleasantly
31:23surprised your look was cohesive inspired this is high camp creativity overload it just reminds
31:31me of like old gaga like my favorite part is that little piece of underboot like ah can i see the
31:39little booty one more time yes the way it shapes her body it is so good i am very impressed and very
31:45surprised welcome to the competition well yuchen congratulations you are the winner of the
31:52unconventional challenge thank you guys thank you guys i feel so blessed so happy to win the
32:01challenge i feel so honored when law say lady gaga because lady gaga is the one who saved me and
32:09lady gaga is the reason that i'm doing fashion so this is a ultimate compliment i think well deserved
32:16can i say that to myself law what about any honorable mentions there was one that was
32:22completely covered in butterflies that i thought was really really well done and really beautiful
32:32thank you so much high drag baby high drag yes i have redeemed myself from last week
32:41oh what a whirlwind this competition has been so i am i'm feeling on top of the world i also really like
32:47the one that was made out of the um what do you call it cock rings not cock rings what is it what is
32:57it called shuttlecock shuttlecocks the one that was made out of shuttlecocks i thought that was really
33:03incredible so raise your hand if that was your design i think that my dress is so much better than
33:11you change but i am happy that they see the craftsmanship i am happy that i'm one of the top
33:17three but i did not come to project runway to win challenges i am here in project runway to win the
33:23entire thing vj's look it's interesting but vj's been all over the map i still truly don't know what
33:29her aesthetic is all right now what law felt did not make the winning grade law had three least favorites
33:37first look out it's just too many things for me joseph to me i just felt like someone was trying to
33:49fool me to look at all these things i'm like oh it's this ensemble and it's fab and i just didn't think
33:54it was fab at all i keep looking at it and the little droplets just look like crack vials and it's
34:00like disturbing me you also signed it and i felt that that was really cocky all right joseph thank you
34:10it's definitely a shocker to be in the bottom and it just hurts that law felt like my name on the back
34:15of my grana was cocky because that's not where it was coming from i love my look down down i was not
34:23expecting this at all all right so now another one of law's least favorite looks
34:30is this who you thought designed it no it just looks so sad i don't get the gold and silver
34:38earring i don't understand the transparent shoe painted black was not a good choice it looks like
34:44dead vegetation just throw her in a compost wow i'm taken aback by these comments this is the second week
34:53in a row that i'm getting feedback from law and it's just not favorable i just don't know where to go
34:59from here all right let's bring out the last of law's least favorite look
35:08what i didn't know who looked this was you standing next to it i don't think i would have got this
35:19i thought i was gonna be the winner so you huh you are here totally based on
35:26the styling of this look i like the dress a lot but the denim boots and that denim bag took me out
35:33i would be doing you a disservice if i didn't teach you those things right that's why i'm here
35:37to share my expertise and i like it i mean he said he likes it
35:45he's making it worse for you and we can fight all day about it you can tell me you like it
35:50you're sticking out for your brother but it's ugly it's wrong it takes away from the fun of it
35:54honestly like law is so sassy and he's so bitchy but like i don't care i'm so proud of antonio
36:01because i think like he's truly finding himself as a designer in this competition this could have
36:06very well been at the grammys but not with that boot all right thank you liz you can leave the runway
36:11i know i'm an amazing stylist so i was blown away with this whole situation i'm confused law picked his
36:21least favorite looks fashion is full of difficult decisions and the decision of which designer is going
36:30to be out will be made by all of you no that's right you'll be deciding who had the worst look so
36:43you chin and all of the designers that are not in the bottom three have a vote for which of the bottom
36:50three designers will be in and who is out and maybe there's someone who just wants you out of the
36:57competition holy guacamole this can be happening we have to vote someone out us what all right so safe
37:11designers want to head to the lounge joan joseph antonio you guys can head to the sewing room okay the
37:18last thing i want to do is to be a part of crushing someone's dreams this is bullshit
37:27just got real i need a glass of wine after that that was a curveball didn't see this coming
37:44this is a big decision i'm speechless my brother's in the bottom three i cannot allow anyone to vote
37:52antonio off right now what do you guys think it's just really sad that we have to choose somebody to
37:58go home because if it was really up to me i would really keep them because they're part of my growth
38:03and they're part of my journey and i don't i don't want to send anybody home of course i'm not going to
38:10take antonio out because i truly do not believe he should be going home because i really didn't love his love
38:16i am very partial to joseph's look and i am obsessed with his aesthetic and i really want to see him
38:26here because i just love his work i know but in my opinion how many more skier skirts or big
38:34oversized stuff are we going to see for me miss jones has delivered beautiful pieces besides this one
38:40which is unconventional we need to consider the challenge miss joan transformed the unconventional
38:48material compared to joseph to show that circle skirt in the square is an insult literally we are
38:57here to push ourselves i think as designers it's our responsibility to create amazing stuff just to give
39:04back you know the the effort that they've been doing for us they're doing this for us they're giving
39:11us a platform to show our work to amazing people and there's a lot of designers who want that spot
39:20and for you to give me a circle skirt in a square it's an insult i don't think it's an insult i really
39:26disagree with that point see that's that's what i'm saying it's like i'm not i'm not taking it against
39:30him i'm taking on what i saw we have 16 hours and i'm like it's like you know like is that she has
39:37a valid point i don't think it's a valid point honestly i think no matter how much time you have
39:43like you can make something simple and it can be more beautiful than spending a time on like an
39:48elaborate corset or something you know the challenge was unconventional yeah i mean what's unconventional
39:54about a huge banner and that is literally five yards of that looks like fabric i've seen amazing
40:01work from him that's why i'm like i was i was so surprised because i wasn't well then judge it on
40:05his catalog of work i think subjectively miss jones is the worst she bit off a lot she worked with a
40:14very difficult material and she did the best she could with it but comparative to everybody else it
40:19really was not that good maybe it's not beautiful for you it's not your aesthetic but i think she
40:25fulfilled the challenge i agree trust me i love joseph i think joseph that's why i'm so annoyed
40:32because i know he's good this is about creativity and for you to show me that like there's no creativity
40:38there i'm not necessarily worried about myself because it's just like i stand in my truth 100 you look at
40:45joseph mccray you see joseph mccray if that's intimidating so be it but do i want to go home
40:52no do what you think is right i'm not convincing anyone but that's just if i'm gonna base it out of
40:58the challenge i felt that miss joan transformed unconventional challenge better than joseph i don't
41:06know what's going on i don't think that my garment was that bad i may be voted out but i'm not ready to
41:13go home i am ready to take it to the end i have so much more to show this is so up it's horrible
41:21i don't want to vote for any of them i love everybody but we have committed decisions that's it
41:25i feel like there's a lot going on and it's giving me anxiety i'm like this could be a strategy and the
41:32designers can try to kick me out because they've been trying to separate my brother and i or they're
41:37really going to send the person that's been doing the same over and over and over joseph mcraig i'm
41:43not voting for joseph i'm just not wow wow wow i don't want to have to vote for anybody but you have
41:51to vote for somebody splitting up the twins would be so gaggy i think i know what to do
