Kelvon Morris, Minority Leader of the Tobago House of Assembly, is raising concerns about the recent temporary assignment of Zorisha Hackett to the Division of Tourism, Culture, Antiquities and Transportation.


While acknowledging that the Farley Augustine-led Office of the Chief Secretary is empowered by law to make such appointments, Morris believes the move was made without sufficient courtesy or explanation to the people of Tobago.

00:00To be transparent with us, because I am sure what is the circumstances, what is wrong with the Secretary of Tourism as to now require a temporary assignment of the Secretary of Education, Ms. Zorisha Hackett.
00:19Is the Secretary indisposed? Is she unwell? Has she abandoned the position? We are asking questions. None of us has the answer. And therefore, the Chief Secretary is obligated to give us the information.
