Transcript
00:00Welcome to 0-2, everybody.
00:03Miami Dolphins lose to the New England Patriots
00:06in just about the most mind-numbing fashion there is.
00:12Operational issues.
00:14Year four of Mike McDaniel can't still get on the same page.
00:20Let's just go down like that, Leroy.
00:23Let's just go down with delay of games, operational issues,
00:30can't communicate.
00:31Awesome.
00:32Just what a feeling you have to have after a game like that, you know?
00:38My biggest concern was the fact that the one unit that you could count on,
00:51you couldn't count on.
00:53Well, we thought we could count on.
00:55We thought we could count on.
00:57We were duped.
00:58And I think that's the most disappointing thing because I myself have said on a number
01:05of occasions, football doesn't transfer from year to year.
01:10Even though your team may be successful, you have to rebuild it, you know, every year.
01:17So if you have a great defense, you're going to have different players.
01:20You're going to have to kind of do things a little bit differently because, you know,
01:25there's offensive minds out there that will take advantage of it.
01:29So you do have to change it up.
01:31So, but I thought the one thing that would be consistent with this team is a pass rush.
01:37And it was a little bit better, but now we have two weeks where the quarterback has just been able to stand back there
01:46and not be untouched along with...
01:49Just out of reach.
01:51Yeah.
01:52Along with Jalen Phillips dropping back to cover passes.
01:56Oh, yeah.
01:57Yeah, that wasn't great.
01:58Yeah.
01:58Him getting run over wasn't great.
02:01He just really hasn't been great.
02:02I mean, understood.
02:03He's dealt with a lot of injuries the last two years.
02:05He may still be trying to find himself.
02:09Bradley Choula.
02:09It'll take time.
02:10I mean, look.
02:12My whole thing was that I do realize that even though you're playing, and I've told you this before,
02:21when you come back from an injury and you're able to play football,
02:26it doesn't mean you're at the same level you were when you left.
02:31It just means that you can play.
02:33Oh, yeah.
02:34And so, the only reason why I got upset over that was,
02:39oh, so we're going to have him not just focusing on little things to get back,
02:45but we're going to have him run around in the secondary?
02:50It's tough, man.
02:51It's not fun right now.
02:53It's not fun times.
02:55It's not, especially when you have one of the best returns I've seen in a while,
03:03as far as effort, only to have it gone in 12 seconds.
03:10That feeling.
03:11I never had a good feeling last that short of a time, and I'm talking about any situation.
03:16Dude, I was sitting there with you, and I'm like, I don't accept what I just watched.
03:21I don't.
03:23What do you mean?
03:24Like, we just had this incredible moment, and you're just going to give it right back to the Patriots
03:31with stupid Mike Vrabel and that smug rat face of his just running willy-nilly down the sidelines
03:37after Malik Washington takes not one but two hits, reverses field, takes it all the way to the house.
03:45The first punt return in five years for the franchise, and you got it, 12 seconds of joy.
03:55Yep.
03:57That's crazy.
03:58I told you, like, the way this team is, I would have went to the kicker and said,
04:03just kick it out of the back of the end zone.
04:04Let's enjoy it for two minutes.
04:05Right.
04:06Yeah.
04:06Like, who cares?
04:07Who cares?
04:08Like, the last thing you want is just kick it out of the end zone.
04:12Um, but, like, saying the game was better from the offensive side of the ball, it doesn't
04:29really do anything because now your right side of your line is yikes.
04:34Yeah, it was better until it wasn't, until we got to the same old issues, and, and that's
04:41the thing that's frustrating is, like, yeah, they had moments, and yes, there were good
04:44numbers, but, like, the, the, the crux of the team is, like, oh, when it needs to be running
04:50smooth, there is the false start, there's the operational failure, there's a delay of game,
04:57there's us blowing timeouts.
04:59It's, like, it's, it's so exhausting, and the thing that is most frustrating about it
05:05is, dude, you guys, particularly Mike and Tua, you guys have been together now for four
05:12years, and we got year one problems.
05:15This was, okay, a year one, we talked about pre-snap penalties.
05:19Four?
05:20Year four together?
05:22All of you?
05:23But, but, but, but I, I, I, look, I understand that everybody's hot and mad and, and whatever.
05:31Those things happen in games.
05:33Like, it, it just, it, it stands out, it, it happens every game.
05:37Not, I'm not saying with just the Dolphins.
05:41It happens, right?
05:43There, there's certain points in the game, certain situations in the game where you just
05:47don't want to rush it, okay?
05:49I get you, but, like, even after the game, this is a little frustrating because I was listening
05:53to the presser's on the way home from your house, and I'm like, these guys are, like,
05:56it's already started where they're all throwing each other under the bus, and particularly what's
06:00been noticeable is Mike and Tua seem to be throwing each other under the bus, and I'm
06:05like, that's yikes, because those guys used to be in the foxhole together, and now it feels,
06:11you know what this is, dude?
06:13What?
06:14This is rats off a ship.
06:15This is what it is.
06:16When everybody sees that all of a sudden, you got planes flying, fans were booing by drive
06:22one, the rats start looking for driftwood.
06:26They do.
06:27And that's what you got going on here.
06:28It's not good.
06:29It's not, it's not going to be conducive to this getting fixed.
06:32It's not.
06:33What, what, what sucks about that game more than anything is you got down two scores, and
06:40you were able to come back and take the lead.
06:41And that was, like, okay, we got something here.
06:46And then you managed to just, like, yikes.
06:50Like, I don't know, I don't know, but I just think that when you're in a situation like
06:58this, sometimes you just look at all the unfortunate things instead of the things that actually caused
07:09the loss.
07:10Like, whether they're having problems, call and play, it happens with everybody, right?
07:16It just sucks that it's happening to this team.
07:18That's not, that's not just exclusive to them.
07:23But when you give up a touchdown, right after you score a big touchdown, like when your defense.
07:32They've given up a score every time.
07:35Right, right.
07:36Like, like, if I told you one thing, we concentrate on Mike McDaniel and two.
07:43But if I tell you through the first game and a little more than a half, your defense haven't forced the team to punt.
07:54Okay.
07:55That's more of an issue than anything they're doing on the other side of the ball.
07:59It is an issue, but they put them in position to take the lead.
08:06Like, in a game that's going back and forth, like they did give them the chance to win and they pooped the bed like they always do.
08:15So, I get you.
08:16It's, that's the thing.
08:17It's like, we could literally point to every phase and be like, yeah, I would say, if we wanted to say, hey, who's, who was worse at their job in the totality of the game?
08:26For sure the defense.
08:27Over two weeks.
08:28Okay.
08:29Maybe.
08:29You could say that.
08:31But it's been everything.
08:32It's been a special teams failure.
08:35And then when the defense does come up, the offense fails.
08:37And when the offense comes up, the defense fails.
08:40And that, and that, you know what we just have?
08:42We just have a bad football team.
08:43That's just what it is.
08:45We just have a bad football team.
08:47We have a bad football team that feels rotten.
08:49It feels like it's rotten from the inside.
08:52And it feels like they're, it feels like they're heading to the undertaker on Thursday.
08:55Like, that's what it feels like.
08:57You know, it, it feels like we're going to, we're going to kick that off.
09:00And we're just waiting for Josh Allen to do what Josh Allen's going to do to them, which he, which he's been doing the entirety of his career.
09:06And then I'm sure on Friday, we'll get the news.
09:09Mike McDaniel's been relieved of his duties.
09:14Like, that just feels what we're headed towards.
09:16Does anybody have faith they're going to win?
09:19Why would we?
09:21No, I mean, yeah, there, there's two teams in two different places.
09:26Of course.
09:27Right.
09:27Of course.
09:28And so, yeah, I would venture, I would take it one step further.
09:38They have to go to Buffalo.
09:39Yep.
09:40That'll be the biggest spread of the week.
09:42It's 13 and a half.
09:44Yeah.
09:45It's 13.
09:46I didn't, I didn't need, I didn't need, I didn't need Hard Rock Bet to tell me.
09:52I didn't need, thank you Hard Rock for your analysis.
09:55This is, um, you are, you are, uh, you are trying to get people to vote, to vote, to bet.
10:04Um, but I could have told you that.
10:06I, if you asked me what it was, I would have said two touchdowns.
10:10Headlines brought to you by Doral Hyundai.
10:11Doral Hyundai, home of the pricey toe, our lowest price.

10:18So the final score yesterday, 33, 27 dolphins lose to the Patriots.
10:22Had banners flying before, uh, the game fire Greer, fire McDaniel, Stephen Ross, miserable.
10:31Oof.
10:32Yeah.
10:33He looked, uh, he looked quite perturbed.
10:35Um, he should be, he, he should be in, in, in, in here's why, because he was that owner
10:44that was out there.
10:45Then he kind of sat back and let everybody do their job and he's sitting there like, you
10:51have to think, you know, like, how about this insult to injury?
10:58You ready?
11:00Insult to injury.
11:01Calais Campbell had two sacks.
11:03It's the end of the game.
11:05Right.
11:05Now, and, and, and, and, and we could go one step further.
11:09Van Ginkle, right?
11:11Look at the guys who you have in their place.
11:15And I'm not going to even count, uh, Grant because, you know, I, I do believe that was
11:21a good pick.
11:23Although Tyler Warren, again, yesterday, monster game for the Colts.
11:26Right.
11:27Um, but when you look at just on that side of the ball, the guys that you've let walk
11:35versus the guys you have there and your defense, not giving up a punt in a game and a half.
11:43Right.
11:43Right.
11:44Now I was asking a genuine question this morning because I don't know the answer to this.
11:49Okay.
11:50So if I sound stupid, apologies, but I was asking a genuine question.
11:54Now, nobody was helpful because everybody was just snarky on Twitter.
11:57Twitter's not a safe space for questions.
11:58If you ask a question, they just mock you.
12:00So I'll ask it here, but I ask it.
12:04I ask a genuine question.
12:05Are you asking me?
12:06Yes.
12:06I'm going to ask you.
12:07Okay.
12:07Looking for solutions.
12:08Cause I don't know the answer.
12:10Okay.
12:10Okay.
12:11Okay.
12:13What's the deal with Christian Wilkins?
12:15Like, is he hurt still?
12:18Can we sign him?
12:19Can we bring him in for help?
12:21Like, I'm genuinely looking for solutions here.
12:23Cause this defensive line is very young and they, they, they are Swiss cheese right now.
12:29Is he hurt?
12:30Is he suing somebody?
12:32I have heard nothing about him since the story happened.
12:35It's gone completely dark.
12:36There's been no, I haven't heard a rumor, a whisper, a rumbling.
12:41Is he hurt?
12:42Can we call him?
12:43Can he be here on Thursday?
12:45To, to, to, to antagonize Josh Allen just a little bit.
12:49Can we call him?
12:50Is that possible?
12:51I'm asking questions.
12:53Can he sign with anybody?
12:54Is he with anybody?
12:55I don't know.
12:55I haven't heard anything.
12:57I'm just, I'm grasping at straws.
12:58Look, we got to fire everybody, but I just wanted to ask a quick question.
13:02I was just saying, Hey, can I be helpful here for a second?
13:04Am I being helpful?
13:05I'm looking for, we signed a guy who retired two years ago.
13:08Can I get a defensive tackle who was actually really good for the team or is he suing somebody
13:14or is he hurt?
13:15I don't know the answers.
13:16I just have questions.
13:18I think, I think we in life have a hard time of leaving well enough alone.
13:30Right?
13:31Zach Seeler and Calais Campbell were really good inside.
13:37Really good.
13:40In fact, one made the Pro Bowl and the other one was just a leader and whatever.
13:46Well enough.
13:47Other teams that have two guys like that pay 40, 50 million a year, right?
13:55Because both of those guys usually sign big contracts.
13:58You could have got both of those guys on this team for 30 million, 25, 30 million a year.
14:05And I don't understand that.
14:12How much better would you get than that?
14:18And that's the thing that I have a problem with with all these guys walking.
14:24It's not like, I get the Christian Wilkins thing.
14:29That was going to cost a lot.
14:31Not as much as he made, but it would have cost a lot.
14:34So I understand, even if I don't agree with it, I understand why you made that move.
14:38But a lot of the guys on that defense you let walk, we're not making a lot of money.
14:47And that's what I struggle with.
14:51So is Christian Wilkins available?
14:55I think he's not playing football right now because of that lawsuit.
15:03Okay.
15:04Or, or, or, or.
15:06Or the lawsuit, right.
15:07I don't know.
15:08He probably should have had surgery.
15:10Maybe.
15:11I just haven't heard anything.
15:12I haven't heard anything about it.
15:14And I'm looking for, I'm looking for ideas.
15:17Mostly, I just want everybody fired.
15:19But, but besides that, I'm just trying to find solutions.
15:22Cause I look at a defense, that defensive line's very young.
15:25They're getting gashed up the middle like crazy.
15:27Zach Seeler's done nothing.
15:29And I don't know, maybe it's because he's getting double teamed every time.
15:32I'm not really sure, but it's, it's, it's not having any impact whatsoever.
15:37And I was like, can they just go, can they go get Christian Wilkins?
15:40Is that possible?
15:41But it probably doesn't matter.
15:42He should probably go somewhere where he could actually do some impact winning, you know,
15:46probably a lost cause here, but I'm out of ideas.
15:49And I'm just going to say a couple minutes either.
15:49Well, this is what I think that's good.
