00:00I did a late night set. I did like a Conan a long time ago and then I was like oh I got to come up
00:07with another five minutes for another late night set and he was like oh do you? You got to write
00:12a little more jokes and that was some of the best advice I got because it was just like yeah yeah
00:19he's like that's what you do. That's your job and I'm like oh no and so that was a good I was glad
00:26I got told that very early. Hi I'm Nate Bargetze. I'm answering 10 questions from The Hollywood Reporter.
00:50What never fails to make me laugh is just if someone falls down and it's just solid. If they
00:56trip and it takes them a little bit to get down to I mean man someone's just putting themselves in a
01:02tough spot I mean I want them to be okay but it's man it's nice. Who never fails to make me laugh?
01:08My daughter. My daughter's very funny and she's always trying to make us laugh and she does a
01:14very good job at it. The last time I bombed it's all different when you're younger you're bombing it's
01:18like straight up no one's laughing. It was in Florida no one in the audience spoke English and
01:23I did not know that until I started and they were giving cars away like they were giving all these
01:27gifts away and I was just standing in front it was a raffle kind of thing and I had to do like 45
01:32minutes. They were giving away two cars and they had to wait through me to hear who wins that car
01:36and they didn't understand what I was saying and it was uh yeah it was tough. I bombed there. Bombed there
01:43pretty good. You get some of this AI stuff now. One was like uh I was I think if they told my brother
01:55and my sister's Derek and Abigail and it said my brother's name was Worf. Worf Bargetzi and uh that
02:02one that one got me pretty good just because it's like I don't even know you know I don't even know
02:07Worf. Now I'm not into luxurious things uh this is just my whatever jacket but I do always have a
02:18jacket I always bring a jacket it's not this jacket but everywhere I go I bring a jacket it doesn't
02:23matter it's 90. Is that a luxury that I can afford a jacket? I can't afford a jacket and I bring it
02:29everywhere. Answers probably both Bill Cosby and no I'm joking. That would be probably can't but
02:39that's very that's a very fun answer. I was a giant Jerry Seinfeld fan so like his just
02:46he was so good at uh placing words and it was all exact and he knew what to say so that was a big
02:54inspiration uh growing up Brian Regan was another one and then when you see younger comics that are
03:00super funny it's like inspiration might be weird but they keep you they keep you on your toes because
03:06you just see someone younger than you newer into comedy and they destroy and it gets you like
03:11panicky that you're like oh my gosh this guy's gonna he's already better than me I stink I gotta get
03:16better. The best advice I've gotten from another comedian I don't know if he would really realize he
03:22was giving me advice I remember talking to David Tell when I did a late night set I did like a Conan
03:27a long time ago and then I was like oh I gotta come up with another five minutes for another late
03:34night set and he was like oh do you you gotta write a little more jokes and that was some of the best
03:40advice I got because it was just like yeah yeah he's like that's what you do that's your job and I'm
03:47like oh no and so that was a good I was glad I got told that very early to just like grow up
03:53you're gonna write more jokes. The most neighboring thing I've done in the past month I ordered DoorDash
04:00I was driving home and I ordered it to time it out so I'll get home and then it would have already
04:05been delivered but when I when I pulled into my cul-de-sac it was pulling into my driveway so then I
04:10faked and drove around and then just uh kind of drove up the street and then parked in front of
04:17someone's house and waited for him to leave and then I pulled in so that's about that was last week
04:23I ordered uh McDonald's and then I got a little Dairy Queen Blizzard little double dish once I made it
04:30what was my first big splurge one I bought a golf simulator that was kind of the to be a big golf
04:39all year round no matter the weather so that was the that was the first kind of like crazy like
04:46you know I definitely did not need it if I woke up tomorrow it was no longer funny I'd just head on
04:52back to reading water meters just go on back and go it's over boys I'm back thanks for watching my 10
05:00questions for the Hollywood Reporter
05:22you
