00:00Widow's Bay, you know, comedy-horror, you don't expect to see kind of that combo.
00:04Did you struggle at all finding kind of the tone, or did you get it right?
00:08Yeah, you're so right about the tone.
00:10The tone is everything in this show, and it's a line to walk.
00:13But as Matthew Rhys said to all of us, he said,
00:16we don't have to play comedy or horror or drama.
00:20All you have to do is play the truth and play the reality of the moment,
00:23and whether it's comedy or drama will come through by itself.
00:27So, what's your favorite thing about your character?
00:30About my...
00:31Your character.
00:32My favorite thing, that I get to not have to wear real clothes,
00:37but just boots and a sweater.
00:44I think he probably needs to brush his teeth more as well.
00:48But I do that.
00:50I do that.
00:51I don't know whether he does.
00:53Not too much a time in wardrobe for you.
00:55Exactly.
00:57Were you shocked at the sheer number of nominations?
00:59I mean, 19, record-breaking for a new comic.
01:02It doesn't shock me, because this whole show is an ensemble show,
01:06from production design all the way through character actors and down to the props.
01:11It's unbelievable people doing 100% on their job.
01:16And that's...
01:16So, it doesn't surprise me.
01:18Yeah.
01:19Do you already know some things about season two?
01:21Yeah, I know that we're going to have one.
01:24Me too.
01:25Me too.
01:26That's about it.
01:26I think Katie had told me recently, they're on show seven or eight writing it.
01:32So, we're getting closer to getting them all written, and then we'll see when we go.
01:37Yeah.
01:38Well, last question.
01:38Just as a veteran of the TV industry, what keeps you excited about the future?
01:43What keeps me excited is being able to work with great people.
01:46You know, the fact that I got to work with Matthew Reese on, you know, another great show was fantastic.
01:52And then the brilliance of Cato Flynn, and getting to see her do that so subtly every day blew me
02:02away.
02:03Yeah.
02:04Yeah.
