00:01Previously on Project Runway.
00:03Designers, for this challenge,
00:05you'll be designing a red carpet look for a celebrity.
00:09It's Heidi.
00:11Welcome to the work room, Heidi.
00:13Maya has something very important to share with you.
00:16So I've decided to leave the competition.
00:19Oh, my God.
00:21Maya's place will need to be filled.
00:23Here she is, boys!
00:26I have a second chance at greatness.
00:30We have two winners.
00:33Emilio, I really can't wait to wear it on the red carpet.
00:36Anthony, I would actually like to wear your dress.
00:40Jonathan, this was another effort that fell short of your talent.
00:45You're out.
00:46Jay?
00:47I'm going to choose Brittany.
00:49I'm sorry, Carrie, that means you're out.
00:51Are you sure there's time now?
00:53This is Project Runway.
00:56The winner of Project Runway will receive a fashion spread
00:59in Marie Claire magazine.
01:00An opportunity to sell their line on bluefly.com.
01:03The $50,000 technology suite to create, design, and run their business
01:07from HP and Intel.
01:09And $100,000 from L'Oreal Paris to launch their line.
01:12Get up, sleepyhead.
01:13Good morning.
01:14Good morning.
01:15Good morning.
01:16Good morning.
01:17To you.
01:19Being one of the winners of the last challenge obviously feels wonderful.
01:31Pinch me right here.
01:33I have to maintain the same thought process that allowed me to design the last gown, but
01:40pump up the volume.
01:42Emilio.
01:43Yes.
01:44Welcome to a morning at home with Anthony.
01:49Hi.
01:50This is the final challenge.
01:52This is what we've all been working for.
01:55Bryant Park is going to be my defining moment.
01:58I'm still kind of reeling at the mere fact that I am in the last five and that this is the
02:04last challenge.
02:05The stakes are higher than ever right now and there's definitely a lot of pressure, but
02:11I'm just trying to visualize that I am the finalist on Project Runway showing your collection
02:15of Bryant Park.
02:16Put your face on.
02:17Here's your purses.
02:18And let's go.
02:19Ooh.
02:20Parsons, here we come.
02:23Hello.
02:24Hi.
02:25And then there were five.
02:38This challenge will decide who goes to Fashion Week.
02:41How do you feel about that?
02:42Wow.
02:43Scary as hell.
02:44Excited.
02:45You all deserve to be here.
02:48For your next challenge, I'm going to send you to a tent.
02:52It may not be Bryant Park tent, but hopefully it will help you get there.
02:57Tim will meet you there to fill you in on all of the details.
03:00Good luck.
03:01And I'll see you on the runway.
03:03Bye.
03:04Bye.
03:05Bye.
03:06Lord Jesus, something rugged is going to happen.
03:08I'm like, I don't have rugged clothes.
03:10You do not wear Gucci drivers to the mountains.
03:13We arrive at the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus.
03:27Oh, my God.
03:30Lord help me.
03:34Oh, Lord.
03:47Who's on the runway now?
03:52Welcome to Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus.
03:56The greatest show on earth is putting on a special show just for you.
04:04Your challenge is to create a high-end runway look inspired by the circus.
04:10Awesome.
04:11Your inspiration can come from anything or everything that you see here today.
04:15So take it all in.
04:17This is so amazing.
04:18I was hoping it would be circus because the circus is just full of inspiration.
04:22So enjoy the show.
04:24Ladies and gentlemen, designers of all ages, welcome to Ringling Brothers and Barnum and
04:33Bailey, the greatest show on earth.
04:52And she's going to vomit.
05:01I think there's about eight topless guys.
05:04And all I could do is like stare at every single one of them because they had such amazing
05:10bodies.
05:15This is like a whirlwind of explosion.
05:17I mean, it's crazy.
05:18There's clowns.
05:19There's some funny ass clowns.
05:21There's motorcycles going all around this cage every direction.
05:26I don't need to know what to expect next.
05:28It's just overwhelming.
05:31I'm a kid all over again.
05:33Designers, I'm going to give you 30 minutes to sketch.
05:40Okay.
05:41But it's relatively easy to create a circus costume.
05:44It's a lot harder to create fashion inspired by the circus.
05:53So you need to think fashion.
05:54Okay.
05:55And your 30 minutes starts now.
05:57What I took from the circus is the use of stripes and polka dots.
06:10Black, white, cranberry, and playing with scale.
06:12I have experience with circus clothing, being in the theater.
06:13So that's what's going to set me apart from my other contestants.
06:27I am most mesmerized by the ringleader himself.
06:31Not just because of his amazing tail coat, but because of his larger than life presence.
06:36So I decided to go with a coat, a blouse, and a pair of pants.
06:40The acrobat came out in this kind of grayish blue swirl print.
06:46She was just throwing herself everywhere.
06:48I was like, work!
06:49And I knew in that moment, this is my inspiration.
06:54I fell in love with the clowns.
06:56I just like the idea of how exaggerated they look.
06:59So I'm creating big pleats, big waistbands, and pair it back to a really beautiful jacket.
07:06You could go any direction.
07:08This is so over the top.
07:10You need to extract elements from this, colors from this,
07:14and bring it down to a fashion level.
07:17Designers, sketching time is up.
07:20Let's head off to Mood.
07:25Designers, you have $300 and 30 minutes to shop.
07:29The success of this challenge begins and ends here at Mood.
07:33Your 30 minutes begins now.
07:39This is our last challenge.
07:41There's five of us left.
07:43I'm that close to Bryant Park.
07:47I'm looking for a menswear-inspired texture.
07:51I need leather.
07:52I need black leather.
07:53And this gold trim that I'm going to use for the tabs that I'm going to create for the jacket.
07:57Lady with a gold fabric.
08:00I know I'm looking for stripes, so I want to see every stripe they have.
08:04I like this.
08:05And then I found one piece, and then everything just fell into place.
08:08That's the silhouette that I'm going for.
08:10Anthony, this is the final.
08:11You need to turn up the volume.
08:13This is my last opportunity to wow the judges.
08:18Right now, I think that my destiny is in Bryant Park, because if it wasn't, I wouldn't be here right now.
08:25It's time.
08:26No more shopping.
08:27Mila, just cutting only.
08:33I'm excited about this.
08:34I've been knocking them out.
08:35Bam, bam, bam, bam.
08:36That's why you're still here?
08:37Yeah.
08:38Alright.
08:41Thank you for everything.
08:47Alright designers.
08:48Your last challenge in this work room.
08:51You have two days.
08:52Yes!
08:53Woo!
08:54Woo!
08:55Make it work everybody.
08:57I'm so glad that we have two days on this, because I feel like, you know, I can be more ambitious with what I'm doing.
09:09And then that's red leather, and then she has the boots.
09:12I love what I sketch, and so I'm going to translate that to life without changing it or compromising too much.
09:19Everybody has black, white, some form of stripes, red, gold, yellow, and I am the only person with like this really different color palette.
09:29I pray that my look gets me to Bryant Park.
09:32Okay fabric, talk to me.
09:34Talk to daddy.
09:35I think this is the one challenge that everyone needs to put it all out there.
09:40Can't get too cost to me, that's the thing.
09:42Come hard or go home.
09:44There's no second chances.
09:46You gotta come hard.
09:47I know I came with one purpose, and that was to win it all.
09:51I'm not trying to be shy about it.
09:55Oh, you're not shy about it.
09:57What?
09:58What are you trying to say?
09:59You mention it frequently.
10:01Emilio is quite confident, you know, because he's won so many challenges.
10:07I'm doing a showstopper.
10:09When she comes out of that runway, I want people to pee on themselves.
10:13But he also, because of his frequent wins, it's like every time he wins, I go, oh my God, his ego is getting bigger and bigger.
10:20Now it's like a choo-choo train.
10:22Choo-choo!
10:23I'm rolling.
10:24I mean, enough is enough.
10:26I mean, we all want it, but you don't have to gloat constantly.
10:30I'm trying to be nice to Mila, so when I win at Bryant Park, she won't feel so bad.
10:35Choo-choo!
10:36Choo-choo!
10:37Choo-choo!
10:38Choo-choo!
10:39Choo-choo!
10:40Choo-choo!
10:41Choo-choo!
10:43Choo-choo!
10:44Choo-choo!
10:45Okay.
10:46You got to have like a yardstick.
10:48I might as well stick my ass on my fabric and measures.
10:51What a douche!
10:52Choo-choo!
10:53Choo-choo!
10:54Choo-choo!
10:55Choo-choo!
10:56Thank you, Emilio So!
10:58This last challenge determines who will show at Bryant Park.
11:03There's definitely a lot of pressure, and it would be so disappointing to not make it
11:09and be this close to Bryant Park.
11:12We actually made it.
11:13We're the final five.
11:14You know, so we're all feeling like, you know, everybody wants to bring on their best game.
11:18You want to see from this side?
11:20Choo-choo!
11:21Choo-choo!
11:22Choo-choo!
11:23Choo-choo!
11:24Choo-choo!
11:25Choo-choo!
11:26Choo-choo!
11:27Choo-choo!
11:28Choo-choo!
11:29Choo-choo!
11:30Choo-choo!
11:31Choo-choo!
11:32Choo-choo!
11:33Choo-choo!
11:34Choo-choo!
11:35Choo-choo!
11:36Choo-choo!
11:37Choo-choo!
11:38Choo-choo!
11:39Choo-choo!
11:40Choo-choo!
11:41Choo-choo!
11:42Choo-choo!
11:43Choo-choo!
11:44Choo-choo!
11:45Choo-choo!
11:46Choo-choo!
11:47Choo-choo!
11:48Choo-choo!
11:49Choo-choo!
11:50Choo-choo!
11:51Choo-choo!
11:52Choo-choo!
11:53Choo-choo!
11:54Choo-choo!
11:55Choo-choo!
11:56Choo-choo!
11:57Choo-choo!
11:58I'm going to do a long coat, and I'm axing it with boning so it gets waves.
12:02It's all going to flare out.
12:04Okay.
12:05Really extravagant.
12:06And in the front, I do want to do a tie, and I'm making a top hat.
12:12All right.
12:15Well, let me ask you this question.
12:17How do you imagine styling this for the runway with the coat?
12:20Is the coat the powerful statement?
12:22The coat is my key piece.
12:23I start with my key piece.
12:24So, can I just ask you to think about this?
12:27No costume.
12:28Oh, no, no, no costume.
12:29It's you.
12:30No question about that.
12:32All right.
12:33Thank you, Seth Aaron.
12:35Go, go, go.
12:36Have a great day.
12:37Hi, Tim.
12:38This fabric is staggering.
12:39Why don't you see the front?
12:42I'm engineering it so I'm losing all the white in the bodice up to the high hip, and then
12:49it's going to explode into a Watto back.
12:52Is this the only way that you're using this cranberry color?
12:55No, that's going to be the bone bodice and then the lining of the skirt on the inside.
13:00Basically, this is a black and white look.
13:02It went to the circus.
13:03Where is the color?
13:04What I got out of the circus was, of course, the stripe and the polka dots.
13:10I didn't want to do the color.
13:11I wanted to extract the color.
13:13But Emilio, this is your opportunity to use color.
13:16We want to see you embrace more color.
13:17But I've done color all along.
13:18I've never done black and white.
13:20I've always done color.
13:21I've never done something black and white, Tim.
13:23All right, but the last win, somber.
13:26Somber?
13:27Somber.
13:28Double that somber.
13:30All right, Emilio.
13:31I'm confident that this is going to be a showstopper.
13:35I'm delighted to hear that.
13:37Great.
13:38Okay.
13:39Thanks, Emilio.
13:40Trust me, I got this.
13:42Hi, Tim.
13:44I felt a little left out when I got back to the workroom.
13:46I realized everybody kind of went into black and white and red and yellow.
13:49Don't feel left out.
13:51You'll stand out.
13:52Well, yeah, but my concern is pumping up the volume.
13:57I am not exactly sure about my sketch because it wasn't too long ago that you said pump up the volume.
14:03But I know before I can build the dress, I got to have a good foundation.
14:06You do.
14:07So I'm just prepping everything and then I'll start working, putting the pieces all together.
14:13Let your visceral rule.
14:15If it doesn't feel right, it's not right.
14:18Well, Tim, I'm ready.
14:19If you feel like you're forcing things, then they're probably contrivances and they're not right.
14:24All right.
14:25Tim, I thought all I needed were my design books to prepare for this show.
14:29But I'm going to go get me a dictionary just as sure as I get back to Georgia.
14:34Thank you for everything, Tim.
14:35Thank you, Anthony.
14:37Hi.
14:38Hi.
14:39How are you, Milo?
14:40Good.
14:41I'm going with a coat and this is the beginning of it with this interesting fabric.
14:47And I like that it's shiny.
14:48I do, too.
14:49I like the coating.
14:50Because I think it's going to make a presence.
14:51It makes it modern, too.
14:52Exactly.
14:53It kind of makes it more me, I think.
14:54I'm going to do these ivory panels down the front.
14:58You should ditch this ivory.
15:00This, for me, just isn't cutting it.
15:03I'm being blunt because it's our last challenge.
15:06I know.
15:07Well, no, I appreciate it.
15:08The other part is that I'm using the large stripe in the back.
15:12I'm thinking chevron and pleated.
15:14I think if you're doing that, use it in the front as well in some manner.
15:18Oh, yeah.
15:19That could be kind of fun.
15:20It could be.
15:21Okay.
15:22Okay, Tim.
15:24Mr. J, talk to me.
15:26I wanted to combine the ringleader with the clowns.
15:29I like how exaggerated they look.
15:31This is kind of like the oversized pant that I'm working on.
15:34It's tweed, and then I'm using, like, leather trims to trim them.
15:40So what's with the jacket?
15:42It's really detailed.
15:44It has a strong color point of view, which is the red, the gold, and the black.
15:50It's like, I want this to look badass.
15:52Okay.
15:53Yeah.
15:54Badass.
15:55Good.
15:56Bad bitch.
15:57Is there a good bitch?
15:58I'm a good bitch.
16:01On that note, thank you, Jay.
16:03Thank you, Tim.
16:04Designers, it looks like we're going to have five big wow moments on that runway.
16:09And what's more exciting than that?
16:11Yes.
16:12All right, so work hard.
16:13You have until midnight tonight, and I will see you tomorrow.
16:15Okay?
16:16Thank you, Tim.
16:17Have a good night.
16:18You too.
16:19See you tomorrow.
16:20Here we go, yo.
16:22I still have a lot to do.
16:23This is my last chance to wow the judges, so it's got to be pretty special.
16:29This is the last one they see.
16:31You better bring the heat.
16:33They made my whole dress gonna take a different shake.
16:35Are you changing midstream?
16:37The foundation is staying the same.
16:39Okay.
16:40It's just so weird, like any direction I go in, I'm wrong.
16:43It's not that I can't crank this dress out.
16:45It's just that I'm just like a prisoner in my mind almost.
16:49I'm scared I might be setting myself up for failure.
16:52Get your skirt to where you want it, and then the bodice will come to you.
16:55Just when you think you have enough time.
17:11Let's sew!
17:12Woo!
17:13First thing I do is alter my body.
17:17I went to sleep thinking about my design, and I woke up thinking about my design.
17:22And the only thing I think in my mind is how to make it better.
17:25This garment means so much to me that words cannot express.
17:29The fact that I'm still sitting here working on a garment is just like, oh, oh.
17:35Not only do we get to present our last pieces, but we get to see our families!
17:40Yes.
17:41Soon!
17:42I know.
17:44A lot of people believe in me.
17:46My friends, family, and for some reason, I've never really pushed myself.
17:52Now that I'm realizing what I can do, I want it to be dramatic.
17:56I want it to look like it's going to go on a high-end runway show.
18:04I'm so excited I'm going to finish this jacket tonight for you.
18:09It looks really cool in the back.
18:11I'm so happy it's standing up straight.
18:13Nila's outfit, I like it, but I'm on the fence.
18:18I'm not so crazy about the shiny, shiny.
18:21The jacket, shiny, the pants are shiny.
18:23That's like putting a whole lot of bling and bam!
18:25All in one thing.
18:27Once I had the dress on Lorena, we realized that it did need a little extra pop of color.
18:33Fortunately, I had this stripe that was perfect for it.
18:37Oh, I think it's beautiful.
18:39I see a lot of costumes in the room.
18:41I don't think that I have a costume.
18:42I think that I have a beautiful gown that is functional and that is editorial from different angles.
18:47I'm seeing that some brand fun.
18:49I love it.
18:50Okay, I'm happy.
18:51Tomorrow's the last one.
18:53Thank you, guys.
18:54Bye.
18:55Bye.
18:56See you, too.
18:57Later.
18:58Well, that's that.
18:59Oh, there you have it.
19:01Oh, you're making a Michael Jackson coat.
19:04I was a little bit scared when I heard that comment.
19:08I'm not sure if they're being sarcastic or they're just being funny, but, you know, I question myself.
19:13They'll have buttons.
19:14It's looking a little bit Michael Jackson.
19:17It's not Michael Jackson.
19:19I'm just not a big fan of Jay's style.
19:21Mmm.
19:32This morning, I feel a little nostalgic and emotional about that this is the last runway show.
19:39I'm nervous as hell, but I'm also relieved.
19:43I feel like I'm going to be okay.
19:46I feel like I'm going to go to Fashion Week.
19:50Time to go, right?
19:53I know I have a lot to do, but I'm focused.
19:56I have my list in my head of what has to happen and at what time.
20:01And I need to just get in there and get to work.
20:05Leave it spore and return and spore.
20:18This is the only day in this competition that I have butterflies.
20:24I feel nervous.
20:25This is the point, the make it or break it point.
20:27And to go all the way through, never have a bad critique from Tim,
20:30to get to the last one and then just bomb out, just shoot me.
20:39When I'm done with this dress, I want the judges to say,
20:43wow, this is the dress of the season.
20:46I want them to see the craftsmanship, the artistry, the whimsy, the sexiness.
20:53I'm putting everything that I am about into this one dress.
21:00Good morning, Tim.
21:02Good morning, everyone.
21:04Good morning.
21:05This is a very big day for all of us and especially for you.
21:09Your models are here.
21:10All right.
21:11I'm going to be sending them in.
21:12You know the drill.
21:13You have an hour to send them to the Garnier Hair Salon
21:15in the L'Oreal Paris Makeup Room.
21:17Use the bluefly.com wall very thoughtfully, very strategically.
21:21It's the whole look, okay?
21:23Okay.
21:24So I will see you a little later.
21:27I'm going to send in your models.
21:28Okay, Tim.
21:29Everyone make it work.
21:37Putting the dress on Monique prior to going to makeup has proven to be an oh my God moment.
21:43The wave is extremely too big.
21:47So I'm having to completely alter that aspect of the dress.
21:51I don't know.
21:52Once again, it's just another make it work moment.
21:55That's okay.
21:56I can get it done.
21:57Okay.
21:58I really feel at this point it should be Anthony and Jay that do not move forward.
22:03And I say that because Anthony has been very inconsistent.
22:08And Jay, there's kind of a lot of fashion knowledge and textile knowledge that he doesn't know.
22:15I don't really know that he's ready to have a collection.
22:18Mila, I've seen her work and I'm not sure if she's going to be able to show at Bryant Park with an amazing collection.
22:26This should be about the guys.
22:28We all know how to put a dramatic show.
22:30And I think I'm saying this because I dislike her as a person, but I don't think she has that.
22:36Okay.
22:37Awesome.
22:38Let's whip him off and we'll go down there.
22:39Your hair should be a lot softer, modern, edgier.
22:43I want to bring a rock and roll edge to it.
22:46I want her hair longer.
22:48How long do you want it to be?
22:50Nice.
22:51I'm hoping that her eyes will be powerful.
22:56Really dark.
22:57No colors.
22:58Come here.
22:59She's smoldering.
23:01Lovely.
23:02Wow.
23:03You like?
23:04This is it.
23:05This is what we've all been working for.
23:09Everyone is excited.
23:10We all know it's the last one and everyone wants to go to Bryant Park.
23:16So the energy is palpable.
23:18You can just feel it.
23:19It's amazing.
23:22Designers, in 10 minutes, you and your models and I are going down to the runway.
23:26Okay?
23:27Yes.
23:28Yay.
23:29I'll be back in 10 minutes.
23:31Woo-hoo.
23:32I got to tell you, I'm flipping out inside.
23:34I'm expecting like the grand poobah of runway shows.
23:39So let's get it on.
23:40Let's bring the show on.
23:41I want so badly to be able to create a collection that doesn't involve a challenge.
23:48You know, it doesn't involve parameters.
23:50It doesn't involve restrictions.
23:52Of course I'm going to feel disappointed if I don't make it through to Fashion Week.
23:57Always cheat to the judges.
23:59Designers and models.
24:00Let's do it.
24:01Come on.
24:02Follow me.
24:03When I came into the competition, I didn't come to beat Seth Aaron or to beat Mila or to
24:09beat Jay or to beat Anthony.
24:11I came to win for myself.
24:13I just want to be number one.
24:16Welcome to the runway.
24:22We started this competition with 16 designers and now it's down to just you.
24:30As you know in fashion one day you're in and the next day you're out.
24:36There are five of you here but only three of you will go to Fashion Week.
24:42That means two of you will be out.
24:45For this final challenge we asked you to create a high-end runway look inspired by the circus.
24:51I look forward to seeing what you've done.
24:54Okay, let's meet the judges.
24:56First we have top American designer Michael Kors.
24:59Hey guys.
25:00How are you?
25:01Fashion director for Marie Claire magazine Nina Garcia.
25:03Hi everyone.
25:04And fashion designer Cynthia Raleigh.
25:10We will score your designs as they come down the runway.
25:13Let's start the show.
25:18This garment, it shows Jay Nicolassario as a fashion designer.
25:22It's tight but at the same time there's volume and texture and color.
25:27It's dramatic and I believe that this look will take me to Fashion Week.
25:33It's totally Mila and I think that it fulfilled the challenge really well.
25:40I totally see the circus vibe in it but I also think that this is an amazing runway look.
25:47It's dynamic, it's got movement.
25:49I felt like it was imperative that my point of view be very strong in this final look.
25:54I love the dress on Monique.
25:58I just love how beautiful she looks today.
26:00I love the movement of the gown and I think that she is one of the few people on the runway who still looks like a lady.
26:08This dress explores the fantasy aspect of who I am as a designer.
26:13The dress says everything that I hope to represent as a designer.
26:22It's dramatic without being costuming.
26:25It's impeccably made.
26:27It fits like a glove.
26:29Lorena looks beautiful and confident.
26:32I don't think anyone even came close to touching this dress.
26:41It fully expressed my point of view.
26:44At this point, I can't change anything.
26:47You know, there's no excuses.
26:49This is what I came up with.
26:51I don't want to bore anybody.
26:53I want to make a statement.
26:58We have scored your designs.
27:00Three of you will go to Fashion Week and two of you will be out.
27:05Let's bring out your models.
27:10Seth Aaron, tell us about your look.
27:15I designed truly off of motion with this.
27:18I was so overwhelmed and so happy with the circus.
27:21I mean, it's me.
27:22It's what I thought.
27:23I didn't think too hard.
27:24I just went with it.
27:26I liked it.
27:28I like the sense of drama and I like the sense of fantasy about this, but I do think it's a bit costume-like.
27:38I like all the way that you use wire or whatever is in there to sort of defy gravity, which is what the circus is all about.
27:47I think it's interesting, definitely interesting.
27:50I think the pants, we have crazy crotch.
27:53I think they might fit you better.
27:56Perhaps a gentleman might have something to fill the trouser out, but I think the jacket's very strong and I appreciate that.
28:03Anthony, tell us about your look.
28:05I didn't want to do anything that looked too costuming.
28:08However, I did want to push the envelope in some areas.
28:11I was a little disappointed that my ruffle detailing inside of the blue up under the arm, you couldn't see it on the runway.
28:18I don't mind it from the waist up, but I do think from the waist down, it is a complete snooze.
28:26And I just think it's poorly made.
28:28What on earth really is that fabric?
28:30That's the first thing you have to start with when you're designing anything is know your fabrics and know what's going to work and what isn't going to work.
28:39Let me see that.
28:40It's crepe de chine.
28:42Oh, it's poly.
28:44No.
28:45Hello.
28:46Is it polyester?
28:47It is.
28:48It's poly crepe de chine.
28:49You have to know what the fabrics are like.
28:51Well, I mean, through the whole competition, I've only used silks, but this is just, you know.
28:55It's $300 worth of polyester?
28:57She's like a big blue condom.
28:59You know, you have to know what you're working with.
29:01It's just a lesson learned.
29:03Damn, lesson learned.
29:05Jay, tell us about your look.
29:06I've created a jacket, military inspired, really tight fitting, and then paired it back to a pair of really exaggerated pants.
29:14And just kind of like created this bold, strong, you know, look that I've always liked to do.
29:21Does the jacket come off?
29:22Yes.
29:23Can we just have it off for a second?
29:24Because if you just look at it like that, she would walk down the street, you would not think twice about it.
29:29It's really just the jacket, because the pants like this, or that top.
29:34No, they're nice pieces.
29:35They're very nice.
29:36It is very beautifully made.
29:38And those pants are fantastic, too.
29:41Mila, tell us about your look.
29:42The Master of Ceremonies jacket had a lot of this sort of scrolling embroidery on it.
29:48And I wanted to pick that up somehow, so maybe they can see more on the back, actually.
29:54It's like a laminated wool herringbone.
29:57I think that it's dramatic, it's impactful, but it's not a costume.
30:02And it's very Mila.
30:03It's very Mila.
30:04There is something here that is not completely convincing me.
30:10I'm not crazy about this.
30:12Well, I hate that color pink.
30:14I'm just kidding, because I'm wearing it.
30:16Yeah, exactly.
30:17I could do with a little bit less on the collar, and maybe something not being a shine.
30:25But in general, I like it.
30:27Thanks.
30:28Emilio, tell us about your look.
30:30The entire gown is one piece of fabric that's five yards long.
30:35And then I added the polka dots to add a little bit of whimsy.
30:39Great job.
30:40I think it's absolutely stunning.
30:42I love this.
30:44I think it's so genius.
30:47It's my favorite garment of the season.
30:49Oh.
30:51Thank you very much.
30:52You want your outfit to speak to a woman and to be appealing.
30:58And I think this manages to do that.
31:00Thank you very much.
31:01Seth Aaron, why do you deserve to go to Fashion Week?
31:04I'm well-rounded in all areas.
31:06I can tailor, and I can design, and I believe in what I do.
31:10What other two designers deserve to go with you to Fashion Week?
31:13Oh.
31:18Emilio and Jay.
31:23Jay, why do you deserve to go to Fashion Week?
31:25For me to be able to get this far and compete against the best of the best,
31:30that already says something, that I can do this.
31:32I could create an amazing collection for Fashion Week.
31:35Who else do you think should go to Fashion Week with you?
31:39I think Seth Aaron has a strong point of view.
31:41I would love to compete against him.
31:43And I want to share this experience with Anthony.
31:55Mila, why do you deserve to go to Fashion Week?
31:58I feel that I am a strong, thoughtful designer.
32:03It feels like the right time for me.
32:06And what two designers do you think should go with you?
32:10Based on their consistency and their points of view,
32:13I would say Emilio and Seth Aaron.
32:17Emilio, why do you deserve to go to Fashion Week?
32:20Well, I think I've shown in this competition that I have a very strong point of view,
32:25teamed with an amazing set of technical skills,
32:29that I can create not only a functional line,
32:32but something that would inspire women to want to wear my clothing.
32:36If I had to choose two designers that I would go to Fashion Week,
32:41I think I would choose the strongest designers,
32:43because I'd like to compete with the best.
32:45I think Seth Aaron shows an amazing sense of style.
32:50And I think Mila had the very direct point of view that combined the three of us together,
32:59it could be a very powerful show.
33:01Anthony?
33:02I can make beautiful clothes, and I have made beautiful clothes.
33:05I think that in order for me to be my best and represent as I should at Fashion Week,
33:10I need to get to my space and find my center and trust my own viscera.
33:16And if I had to select two individuals who I want to share this experience with,
33:22it would have to be Emilio and Jay.
33:25We've heard what you had to say.
33:27We're going to have a long chat, and then I'm going to call you back.
33:31You can leave the runway.
33:33Let's talk about Emilio.
33:39This was really one of the most beautiful outfits that he has done.
33:46There was nothing that looked like he struggled at all.
33:50And he's sophisticated. He's really very sophisticated.
33:56Seth Aaron's look was not as sophisticated as Emilio's.
33:59No.
34:00Definitely not.
34:01But it shows Seth Aaron, and it shows that he's innovative.
34:07Mm-hmm.
34:08It shows that he thinks bigger instead of safe.
34:14I can only imagine what he would do at Fashion Week.
34:16It would be exciting to see.
34:18Yeah.
34:19Absolutely. I'm curious.
34:20I am curious.
34:21I am curious.
34:24All right, let's talk about Anthony.
34:26To walk into that fabric store where you have the world at your fingertips.
34:32You pick a fabric, and you don't even know what it is and how to handle it.
34:37That's number one.
34:38What's the content? What is this?
34:39Technically, he doesn't have the skills that some of the other designers have.
34:43I think he has some great ideas. I think he's done some beautiful things in the past.
34:46He's got talent.
34:50Let's talk about Mila.
34:52I think her clothes, you know, often to me, they seem flat. They seem one dimensional. I will say that today, the jacket did have some dimension. I did like some of the lines on it.
35:05It just didn't seem relevant in any way.
35:08I don't know how.
35:09But don't you think, honestly, though, the clothes are always made beautifully.
35:16All right, let's talk about Jay.
35:18I do think he makes good clothes, and clothes that feel very modern and very now.
35:24But he's never really 100% right, though.
35:26Jay, I know we're going to get a taste level. I just haven't figured out who he is as a designer.
35:34Today was tough, but did we make our decision?
35:39Yeah, I'm ready.
35:41Okay, let's bring them back out.
35:52We've made our decision, and now we will reveal who will go to Fashion Week.
35:57We've made our decision, and now we will reveal who will go to Fashion Week.
36:14Emilio, your dress was unanimously our favorite.
36:20Thank you very much.
36:21It was in a league of its own. Congratulations.
36:25You're in. You're going to Bryant Park.
36:28You can leave the runway, Emilio.
36:31I'm very pleased and humbled, but the final destination is winning and being victorious.
36:38So, yes, I'm happy that I'm going to Bryant Park, but I'll be even happier when I win Project Runway.
36:44We blew it out the park. Home run. Home freaking run.
36:49Seth Aaron, you've shown us time and time again how creative you are, and your tailoring is consistently fantastic.
36:59Seth Aaron, congratulations. You're in. You're going to Fashion Week.
37:05I'm good.
37:14You can leave the runway.
37:16You know, I don't have to battle anymore.
37:18I have a spot, and it has my name on it.
37:20And give me my money, send me home, and I'm going to come back and blow the socks up New York City.
37:27Woo!
37:28Oh, my God, I hate you.
37:30Freak.
37:31You're such a freak.
37:33Anthony, you won some of the biggest challenges this season, and you've grown tremendously.
37:40Your effort today fell short, and we think you still need to mature as a designer.
37:50Anthony, you're out.
37:55Thank you for everything.
38:10Mila, you've impressed us throughout this competition.
38:14We applaud that you pushed yourself in this challenge, and stepped outside of your comfort zone, while staying true to your point of view.
38:22Your look was made well.
38:24However, it was disappointing.
38:28This fell short of your talent.
38:31Jay, you made clothes beautifully, and today was no exception.
38:38Your pants were impeccable, but overall the look was somewhat expected.
38:44You played it safe on a challenge when you were supposed to do anything but.
38:50You're in.
38:51Oh, my God.
38:52Jay.
38:53You're in.
38:54Oh, my God.
38:55Jay.
38:56You're also in.
38:57We have some concerns about both of you, but we also know both of you have the potential to wow us.
39:11Now, there's the big but.
39:13Both of you are going to design things.
39:15You're in.
39:16Oh, my God.
39:17Jay.
39:18You're also in.
39:19We have some concerns about both of you, but we also know both of you have the potential to wow us.
39:24Now, there's the big but.
39:25Both of you are going to design collections, but only one of you will show at Fashion Week.
39:30It is going to be up to you to take this opportunity and run with it.
39:35Good luck.
39:37You're both going to leave the runway.
39:39Jay and I both have really strong points of view, I think, that come across in what we do.
39:43I just have to make sure mine's better.
39:46Tiebreaker!
39:48That means we both make collections, and it's like a shootout.
39:52Mila and I have two different points of view, and I just want to show my best.
39:56I just want to prove to the whole entire world that I'm worthy enough.
40:00Oh, my God!
40:02I was feeling sad for Anthony, but in fact, this is happy.
40:06Yes!
40:07Yes!
40:08Yeah.
40:09I feel bad for me.
40:10No, you know?
40:11No, no, no.
40:12Cover of Marie Claire, Jessica Alba.
40:14I know.
40:15It's fantastic.
40:16Congratulations.
40:17What?
40:18Really.
40:19But I do have to send you to the work room to clean up your space.
40:24You're used to this.
40:25You know what to do.
40:26I know.
40:27This is nothing new.
40:28There's just more to clean up.
40:29We love you.
40:30Be good.
40:31Y'all be good.
40:32I will see you later.
40:33Don't disappoint me.
40:34That's my line.
40:35My time has come.
40:36My work here is done, and I think that it speaks volumes for what will happen for me in
40:39the future.
40:40I don't think you could ever think that you've seen the last of me, not in a million years.
41:10I love you.
