05:17I don't do red carpet dresses very often, so that worries me a little bit.

05:23But that said, she wants something that is simple and elegant and I definitely know how to do that.

05:29I want to do what I do best, which is volume and texture.

05:39And it needs to have some special detail that could be captured easily by cameras.

05:49This is not about being subtle.

05:51This has to be wow, bam, from the moment it steps off.

07:22And I'm having a hard time just, like, performing on command, you know?

13:23Any time I do this cut work technique, I'm aware of how long it takes.

13:26I'm going to sew layers of fabric together and then cut away at them at different levels

13:30to create an openwork filigree.

13:33I have nine and a half hours to finish a freaking masterpiece.

13:37The fabric is very, very drapey and kind of see-through.

13:41So my first thing is to build a fully boned understructure that will support the delicate fabric on top.

13:48So basically, I'm making two dresses.

13:51I hope my dress is interesting enough.

13:53Mine's pretty simple.

13:55I want to create a sleek silhouette that will teardrop onto the floor.

14:01And my fit proportion is an absolute must.

14:06It's a busy day for me in here, let me tell you.

16:34And what's beautiful about this fabric is, the further away you go from it, the less

16:43I have to then just seam it on the bias.

17:06Think about how to do it and make her not look like she has been sitting around eating

17:12pie and cake.

17:13You know, this is a good thing.

17:14At the end of the day, she's wearing this piece that I'm designing for her.

17:20So there is the cleavage, but there is a block there.

17:24It's basically, like, the space in between your bra.

27:22There's something about me that likes to exaggerate certain areas of women, especially the butt area.

27:38I guess I like big butts.

27:39I made a really nice dress, but I think that it's not as well constructed as I usually like my things to be.

27:56But the quality of the work is there and I think the judges are going to see that.

28:00The gown is absolutely beautiful.

28:07It moves.

28:08It's not stiff.

28:09It's refreshing.

28:11She looks expensive.

28:13She exceeds my expectation as she walks down the runway.

28:19One thing I always do is look at it in awe and then look at Heidi's face.

29:37I went for a more sleek, sophisticated look.

29:40When I designed this, I thought who I was designing it for, but wanted to keep it still me.

29:48I would be more worried about making something that would be flattering for Heidi.

29:54This almost looks like if you were at an awards ceremony, this would be the girl who actually came out and carried the statue when you won, but this isn't the winner.

30:03I like it. I do. I think it's me. Maybe I got wrapped up in who it was for, overwhelmed.

30:10My biggest thing is this is for Heidi for the red carpet. It just doesn't really seem like something that I've seen her in.

30:19I think it has to have some sort of sex appeal somewhere. Either it's the cleavage isn't done in a way that looks glorious or I don't know where the wow effect is.

30:31Anthony, tell us about your look.

30:33I wanted to create a beautiful palette for you to accessorize and there isn't a color palette more sophisticated than black and white have done properly.

30:42And I most definitely think that my design today speaks to my aesthetic.

30:47I love your dress.

30:49Oh, Jesus.

30:50It's very sexy, but it's not too sexy. It's not vulgar.

30:53It's very elegant. I love when she was walking and it flowed and it's beautiful from all angles.

30:59I love it. I think it's great. I think you're finally in your zone.

31:02I think it's stunning. I think you really captured the glamour of the red carpet.

31:08Heidi would look fantastic in it. So would Jessica. So would many other celebrities.

31:13And it's nice that it's like, it's like one movie on one side and another movie on the other side, depending on how you feel.

31:20Mila, tell us about your look.

31:22I wanted to do something sleek and sexy for you with some modern lines.

31:27And I thought about jewelry again, because I know how much you love jewelry and how many options you might have.

31:33You know, I like this type of dress and I wear them a lot. I just think it might be a little too wide in the bust area.

31:40I hate how the cups fit her. They're spreading out to the side and the straps in the wrong place, so it's not doing fabulous things for the chest.

31:48Because quite honestly, if you wear this dress, it's about the cleavage.

31:51I think it is too simple. I feel like it is not a showstopper.

31:55Emilio, tell us about your look.

31:58I designed a very sophisticated silhouette, but the fabric was what inspired me.

32:02It was like liquid gold, because it's still a metallic, but we wanted to keep the fluid lines to it.

32:08It's impeccable. And her hair is great with it. Great.

32:14It is simple, but it is sexy at the same time. And it has an amazing fit.

32:20This fabric could have looked really cheap. It looks very expensive, but very easily it could have gone the opposite direction.

32:30I think it fits like a glove. The trick that you did that other designers do as well, because I've worn these glittery strapless dresses and it's building the entire dress underneath is key.

32:43Jay, tell us about your look.

32:45I wanted to design a strapless short dress, and I had in my mind I wanted to use color this time, but not too strong.

32:52And it's a 360 experience, so it's the same thing that you see as she turns around.

32:57The design of the corset I think is beautiful, and it is impeccable. I saw it like this close up.

33:03It's just the bottom needs to have a little different something-something.

33:07If you're gonna play with volume on bottom, there isn't a woman on the planet who would say,

33:14oh, I want people to think I have a fat butt and big hips. Like, she just doesn't exist.

33:20Can you turn around? You have the horizontal pleating, and then you have the ruffles. She looks wide. She's tiny.

33:29My hips are bigger after I gave birth, but I'm still trying to disguise it personally. I still try to wear things to keep that to a minimum.

33:38Jonathan, tell us about your look.

33:40I wanted to do something that was a little easier, a little sexier, maybe a little more fun.

33:45I love short, but boy, is this short.

33:48I think if she even takes a big enough step, you might see her butt cheek. It might be just a little too short.

33:54The back of the dress, there's something effortless about the way the back of that dress is draped.

33:59The front looks like you were like, I've got ten minutes left and I gotta jam this fabric in here.

34:05I ran out of coral, yes. This is the third dress.
