Die IAA 2025 in München steht ganz im Zeichen der Elektromobilität – und BYD ist mittendrin. Der chinesische Hersteller zeigt auf der Messe eine ganze Reihe neuer Modelle, Technologien und Zukunftspläne für den europäischen Markt.
Besonders im Fokus: Der erste Kombi von BYD – der C6 DMI, ein Plug-in-Hybrid mit hoher Effizienz und Vielseitigkeit. Auch neue vollelektrische Modelle (BEV) werden vorgestellt, mit innovativen Designs und modernster Batterietechnik.
Ein echtes Highlight sind die neuen Schnellladestationen von BYD, die bis zu 400 km Reichweite in nur 5 Minuten ermöglichen – ein Meilenstein in Sachen Lade-Infrastruktur.
Darüber hinaus kündigt BYD an, ein eigenes Werk in Ungarn zu eröffnen und massiv in Forschung & Entwicklung (R&D) zu investieren. Das Ziel: Eine starke lokale Produktion für den europäischen Markt.
Auch das Thema Nachhaltigkeit und Kreislaufwirtschaft spielt eine Rolle – mit einem neuen Gebrauchtwagenprogramm inklusive Garantie, das Käufern von gebrauchten BYD-Fahrzeugen Sicherheit und Qualität bietet.
Deutschland gilt für BYD als Schlüsselmarkt. Bis 2025 soll das Händler- und Servicenetz deutlich ausgebaut werden. BYD ist zudem nun Teil der Fortune Global 500 – ein Beleg für das weltweite Wachstum des Unternehmens.

00:26Now, most of you know BYD quite well already, but if I had to introduce our company in just one sentence, I would say this.
00:40BYD is a global tech company that is redefining what it means in automotive to truly put the customer at the center of every product, every innovation, every technological breakthrough.
00:59At BYD, we love challenges that fool us and humble us in a constant positive motion.
01:09And at BYD, the leaders have a clear vision, authentic inspiration and unlimited passion.
01:21Our leader is a true role model, outstanding in her devotion to building dreams and show the way.
01:32She is still Ali, Executive Vice President of BYD and by all means the World Car Person of the Year 2025.

02:09I'm really excited to be here at the IAA in Munich, Europe's motor shows for 2025 because there is such a key region in BYD's plan.
02:26I have a lot of great news to tell you.
02:30Let's start with the latest update on BYD's global growth.
02:35BYD recently placed 91st in the 2025 Fortune Global 500 list, the first time we have been in top 100.
02:53This milestone recognizes not only our rapid growth, but our hard work, focus and dedication.
03:03Our sales continue to rise with 2.86 million vehicles sold globally by end of August.
03:16That is up 23% on the same period last year.
03:21And our overseas sales exceed 600,000 units already, a big year-on-year increase of 137%.
03:38We are doing well in a lot of markets outside China.
03:43And we have been seeing big gains in countries like the UK, Spain, Italy, and France.
03:54Of course, Germany.
03:57We have sold more than 13.4 million NEVs so far.
04:04Another big milestone.
04:06At the heart of this is the success of NEVs, the new energy vehicles, which means BEVs and the superhybrid with DMI technologies.
04:22In the first half of this year, we have consistently ranking the number one for NEVs sales globally.
04:32We are doing this by expanding our line-up and making more cars that people want around the world.
04:42As an example, when we last met in Munich two years ago, we have just six models available.
04:53And look at where we are now, we have more than double that line-up.
05:00And we have got great products in all the main segments.
05:06From the A and the B segments, hatchbacks, to the D segment, performance sedan and SUVs.
05:16Today, we are writing the latest chapter in our superhybrid stories with more than 7 million customers already.
05:30Here, here in Munich, we are introducing our first station wagon, the CIL-6 DMI tooling.
05:43As we now cover all the major market segments, it mixes practically with the ultra-low fuel consumption
05:53that can only come with the superhybrid with DMI technology.
06:01It can be with the new energy generation with a combined range of more than 1,300 kilometers.
06:11There is a CIL-6 DMI sedan, and it can go even further, more than 1,500 kilometers.
06:25The force behind this success is our amazing R&D team.
06:32120,000 engineers are always making our products better, our customers' lives better.
06:44In the first half of this year alone, we invested more than 3.7 billion euros in R&D.
06:5553% more than in the same period last year.
06:59Our total expense in R&D over the years now stands at 25 billion euros.
07:11And we produce more than 45 new patents every single working days.
07:19This commitment to what we are coming next has always been part of BYD's DNA, and this will continue.
07:32The ultimate example of our innovating spirit is Yang Wan.
07:43It's a belief in the pursuit of speed, of design, of technologies.
07:52is what would deliver us astonished, almost unbelievable cars, like the Yang Wan U9 Special Edition.
08:05With more than 3,000 horsepower, the latest Yang Wan hyper cars recently grabbed the title of the world's 40th EV
08:22with a maximum speed of 472 kilometers, just incredible.
08:29Just incredible.
08:34We innovated in all our cars, and here is a piece of really exciting news for customers.
08:43Just one hour ago, the BYD Dolphin Surf was awarded the maximum five-star safety renting by Euro NCAP.
08:56This achievement is really rare for such a compact, accessible cars.
09:05It shows our commitment to setting new standards for customer safety.
09:13We are almost ready to build our cars in Europe, for Europe.
09:21Our new factory in Hungary is on track to start making cars at the end of this year.
09:31This is the real evidence of BYD staying in Europe.
09:38Investment in not only our plant, but also the supply chain.
09:45We are talking to hundreds of local suppliers.
09:50And our goal is to build up local ecosystem for European production.
09:57And today, we are pleased to announce that Dolphin Surf, our World Urban Cars of the Year,
10:07will be the first model produced in Sagat.
10:12We know that we will support our great products by matching them with the investment in Europe.
10:23We are bringing in specialized, experienced local people in all our markets.
10:30By the end of this year, BYD will be on sales in 32 countries.
10:37Cross Europe with more than 1,000 stores where customers can experience and put in BYD.
10:48And this is just beginning.
10:50By 2026, we are double in size, reaching 2,000 stores across the continent.
10:58And though we grow into Europe, we need to consider the lives of the cars that were selling to more and more customers.
11:11Today, I am proud to introduce the BYD certified pre-owned program.
11:20With this initiative, we will bring BYD second-hand customers even great peace of mind.
11:31Every BYD certified pre-owned vehicles goes through a 179th point of inspection,
11:41comes with a guaranteed battery health score of at least 90%,
11:4890%, and is backed by the comprehensive benefit, including a warranty roadside system and data service.
12:00In short, buying a BYD certified model feels just like buying a brand new cars.
12:09Now, today, we will bring our fresh charging station to IA in Munich
12:16to demonstrate to all of you the charging as fast as refueling.
12:23Using our own BYD charging station, you can add around 400 kilometers of range in just five minutes.
12:33We target to install 200 to 300 charging stations in Europe by Q2 next year.
12:43Our flight charging is unique.
12:46The final breakthrough for EV mass adoption.
12:51This is game-changing.
12:54Now, I have an exciting news for you.
12:58All of our Danza products will have flashing charging technology.
13:07The farthest charging possible and every charge is almost 800 of range.

13:20The Z9 GT will deliver the new cool destination of premium.

15:21The goal for Germany is clear.
15:24We want to offer service and sales locations that are always within a reasonable distance for our customers.
15:32We understand that buying a car is not just about a vehicle itself.
15:38It's about confidence, service and long-term partnership.
15:42That's why we are growing rapidly in Germany.
15:45Just this morning, in Munich, we opened the first Densa store in Europe.
15:50And with this, we contracted already 100 German sales points.
15:55By the end of 2025, we will have at least 120 sales and service locations.
16:03We are aiming to have about 300 by the end of next year.
16:08It's all about proximity, accessibility and trust.
16:13Of course, none of this growth would be possible without a smart and performance-driven organization.
16:20At BYD, we are building exactly that.
16:24A structure that is agile, strategic and customer-focused with sustainable growth.
16:32Our teams are hungry in the best sense of the word.

16:45We laid a foundation for our next milestone, which is selling more than 50,000 vehicles in Germany, passenger cars.
16:56And we have already the foundation, our portfolio, which covers already 90% of all passenger car segments.
17:04And now, the moment many of you have been waiting for.
17:09Let's talk about product.
17:11We are proud to present the BYD L6 Touring, shown today here to the public, to you here at the IAA.
17:18This is a car that represents the best of BYD. Engineering, efficiency and everyday usability.
17:28The C6 DMI Touring has been developed for Europe and mainly for Germany.
17:34The C6 DMI series is built on super-DM technology.
17:39With this vehicle, we are further expanding our portfolio of revolutionary plug-in hybrid models.
17:48Our dual-mode powertrain is more than just efficient. It's intelligent.
17:54It combines long electric range with the flexibility of the combustion engine.
18:01This is ideal for European customers, who demand both sustainability and real-world practicality.
18:10The C6 DMI utilizes a large-blade battery, which allows to drive more than 1,350 kilometers,
18:19and electric-only range is up to 100 kilometers.
18:24And this all with an exceptional value for money.
18:29We make premium e-mobility accessible.
18:34And the market? The market is ready.
18:38Over the last decade, hybrid vehicle registrations across Europe have grown by nearly 40%.
18:45In 2015, there were just 200,000 hybrid cars registered across Europe.
18:52And last year, more than 4 million.
18:55The German market tells the same story.
18:58From 23,000 racks in 2015 to well above 900,000 last year.
19:04So, the 1 million mark is within reach.
19:07And the C6 Touring is ready to meet that demand.
19:12So, this is more than a car, the C6 DMI Touring.
19:16It's a symbol for us of how far we have come and how far we are going.
19:23In conclusion, BYD is not just here to compete.
19:28We are here to innovate and to partner with Germany and Europe on the journey to a cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable mobility of the future.
