00:00Russia's attacks on Ukraine show no sign of slowing down, launching 823 overnight attacks,
00:09killing at least two people in Kiev, according to Ukrainian authorities.
00:14The victims of the attacks on residential buildings included a baby and a young woman,
00:19while at least 20 others were injured.
00:22The city's mayor, Vitaly Klishko, also reported Ukraine's main government building in flames,
00:29probably ignited by falling drone debris.
00:32Ukraine's armed forces said 751 of the attacks were repelled,
00:37while nine missiles and 54 drones struck Ukraine, including the cities of Kremenchuk, Krivneri and Dnopro.
00:46Odessa and its surrounding region was also heavily targeted, damaging civilian infrastructure and homes, local authorities said.
00:55European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen condemned the attack and said,
01:00quote, the Kremlin is mocking diplomacy.
01:03Meanwhile, Ukraine attacked the Druzba oil pipeline in Russia's Bryansk region,
01:09leaving the pipeline damaged, according to Russian authorities.
01:12Tens of thousands of demonstrators gathered in Brussels on Sunday to protest against the Israeli government
01:24and to draw a symbolic red line for Gaza.
01:29Gathered in the heart of the European Union,
01:32participants called on EU member states to impose firm sanctions against Israel.
01:37Similar pro-Palestine demonstrations took place across Europe in recent weeks.
01:44It comes in response to Israel's expanded offensive in Gaza
01:47and the catastrophic humanitarian conditions in the Strip.
01:53Local police estimated around 70,000 demonstrators took part in the second edition of Brussels' Red Line for Gaza March,
02:01but event organizers estimate 110,000 people attended the protest.
02:06It comes just days after Belgium announced it would recognize a Palestinian state at the UN General Assembly later this month,
02:17thereby joining France and the United Kingdom.
02:20It also said it would impose sanctions on Israel under certain conditions.
02:25Protest organizers say it is public pressure like this that is what leads to government action,
02:30and are now hoping that other member states, as well as the European Union itself, follow suit.
