00:05military installations into the early hours of Saturday.
00:10Israeli airstrikes kill at least 44 Palestinians in Gaza amid international pressure on Israel
00:17and growing calls for a ceasefire.
00:21The Global Sumud Flotilla says it will continue its sail towards Gaza on Saturday despite
00:26losing one of its vessels to engine failure.
00:31Unidentified drones were seen near one of Denmark's biggest military installations overnight
00:36into Saturday according to the Danish Armed Forces.
00:41The army did not specify where the drones were observed, but officials speaking to local
00:45media say they were seen near the Karup airbase in western Denmark.
00:50It comes just a few days after the country reported a major breach in drone sightings which
00:55prompted the closures of airports.
00:58The largest and busiest, Copenhagen Airport, was closed for hours after several drones were
01:04observed in its airspace.
01:06Close to a half dozen other airports, both civilian and military, were also temporarily
01:11restricted in the days that followed due to similar breaches.
01:15Danish authorities have slammed the incidents as hybrid attacks.
01:19Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said on Thursday that Monday's attacks were quote, the most serious
01:24on Danish critical infrastructure today.
01:31Russian attacks in Zaporizhia on Saturday left around 9,000 households without electricity,
01:37though by morning energy crews had managed to restore almost all power, Ukrainian authorities
01:44said.
01:45According to the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration, a store, ten retail outlets,
01:52two apartment buildings and several non-residential premises were damaged in the drone attacks.
01:58A site near the bus station, which had already been hit once before in August by guided bombs,
02:05was also affected.
02:07Saturday's attacks came as Ukraine's Zaporizhia nuclear plant has been off-grid for four consecutive
02:13days, its longest blackout to date.
02:17Blackouts at the Zaporizhia nuclear power station have been frequent since Russia seized the plant
02:22in 2022 due to its proximity to the front line.
02:27But experts are warning that the current blackout heightens the risk of a malfunction.
02:37Israeli strikes killed at least 44 people across Gaza on Saturday, local health officials said,
02:43despite growing calls for a ceasefire and international pressure on Israel.
02:49According to medics, the airstrike Saturday morning demolished a house in Gaza City's Tufa neighborhood,
02:56killing at least 11 people.
02:59Officers at Shifa Hospital said four other people were killed when an airstrike hit their
03:04homes in the Shati refugee camp, while strikes on a house on the Nusrat refugee camp killed
03:10nine members of the same family.
03:14The attacks came just hours after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed that
03:20his country must finish the job against Hamas in Gaza while addressing other world leaders
03:25at the U.N. General Assembly.
03:27Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters on Friday that the U.S. is close to
03:33achieving a deal on easing fighting in Gaza that will get the hostages back and end the
03:39war.
03:41The Global Sumud Flotilla says it will continue its journey towards Gaza despite recent difficulties
03:52which has seen one of the boats on the fleet sidelined.
03:56The family boat, one of the main vessels carrying Aden people on the flotilla, suffered an engine
04:01failure forcing its docking and repair.
04:04A spokesperson for the group says the damage was done after multiple incendiary drone attacks,
04:10leading to what he called a catastrophic failure.
04:13People on board the boat as well as the eight cargo will be relocated and distributed across
04:18the remainder of the fleet, set to continue its sail on Saturday.
04:22Meanwhile, ten Italian citizens have decided to abandon the journey following pressure from
04:27the Italian government.
04:29President Sergio Mattarella asked the group to heed of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni s advice,
04:34and not put anyone in harm's way.
04:36Meloni had requested the initiation of an aid corridor to deliver the flotilla supplies
04:41to Palestinians via Cyprus.
04:44The group says they re determined to break the Israeli siege on the enclave and called
04:48for more global support amid Israel s repeated aggression in international waters.
