00:00Hello and welcome to this New South Wales James weather update for Friday.
00:04We've got a big weather system that is developing over in the west.
00:07That is our next widespread rainfall.
00:09It will have some tropical moisture starting to trickle on in.
00:12In the southeast, this speckled cloud here,
00:14that's the leftovers from the cold outbreak that we've had at the end of the week.
00:18So we're feeling a little bit of a chill from that,
00:20but otherwise some fairly clear skies.
00:22This system in the middle is running out of oomph
00:24and it doesn't have much rain in it.
00:26This is the one that's going to deliver and the one in behind that.
00:29So let's have a look day by day.
00:31Today, just a little bit of coastal activity, not much is happening at all
00:34and you can see the remains of that central system completely petering out.
00:38Here is the next B1 though.
00:40So for us in New South Wales, let's have a look here on Saturday.
00:43Northerly winds, so things warm up in through here.
00:45Not quite on the coast yet though, with a little bit of leftover wet weather.
00:48Here's the next weather system,
00:50starting to see a trickle of that moisture coming down from the north into Sunday.
00:54This is when it really kicks off.
00:56This is a western system, not an eastern system.
00:59So let's watch this move through day by day.
01:01Here is Sunday and then here is the next surge in behind us
01:05that is going to come in as well.
01:06So there we do on Sunday into Monday.
01:09Lovely falls all in through here,
01:11stocked at the ranges, nothing over to the east.
01:14Here we have into Tuesday.
01:15That's the day with the bigger falls so far
01:17as the next low pressure system moves across.
01:20Perfect positioning for us here.
01:22We've got our feet of moisture.
01:23We've got our low pressure.
01:24It is game on, ready for these western areas to get a nice soak.
01:28Then into Wednesday, it keeps going.
01:30The low moves out to the east.
01:32Then into Thursday and then into Friday as the next high pressure system comes in.
01:37So a big soap that is moving through.
01:39You'll notice it literally stops at the ranges here.
01:42It's not for the east.
01:43This is for the west.
01:44Anything that is yellow is 25 to 50 millimetres.
01:47So a lovely big soak all in through here.
01:50And even more on the ranges and just a little bit less in that southwestern corner.
01:55So if you're after rain and you're in the southern part that have been missing out,
01:58this is great, great news for you.
02:00Let's have a look at Sydney.
02:01So remember on the eastern side of the ranges,
02:03we've got the cold outbreak that's moving through.
02:05It's delivering hardly any wet weather.
02:07So 18-20 conditions warm up as we go through the early part of next week.
02:11And then here are the leftovers.
02:13Remember, it's on the dry side of the ranges.
02:16So it's just the leftovers as they come across the ranges there.
02:19So three, six millimetres, the bigger falls are over to the west.
02:23But we will see a reduction in temperatures as that comes through.
02:26As always, head to Faux Online Weather for the latest.
