After all the bruhaha TKR skipper Nicholas Pooran blamed poor shot selection for what he saw as a batting failure.

00:01Trinvigo Knight Riders went under to Antigua and Barbura Falcons by eight runs in their
00:05Republic Bank CPL match at the Cirque Vivian Richard Stadium on Wednesday night.
00:09TKR failed to get to their target of 168 set by the Falcons,
00:13which means new Knight Riders skipper Nicholas Puran's record is one win and one loss this season.
00:18Yeah, we were happy with 167. I felt like the bowling unit did an incredible job.
00:23Obviously they got the momentum in the back of the FB and came out and played a really good innings.
00:28But going into the break we were really happy to chase 167.
00:31Colin Munro and Karen Pollard got into the 40s while Casey Carty hit 35.
00:36Puran felt the approach during the chase should have been better.
00:40Obviously the results didn't go in our favour today and it's never nice to lose a game.
00:43But today is on us and we felt like we gave that game away there.
00:47But kudos to Antigua the bowl really well in the middle of us there.
00:51And a couple loose shots from our batsmen so we need to take accountability for that.
00:56TKR next play on Saturday against defending champs St Lucia Kings at the Darren Sammy Stadium.
01:01According to Puran, it's important for the Knight Riders to assess the situation properly if they want to be successful.
01:07For us it's just about playing the situation the best way possible.
01:11And we know as a group we need to dig deep.
01:14Other teams are going to come really hard against us.
01:17And for us it's really important that we use our experience.
01:20You know Pauly played a tremendous tendency again and he continued to teach us how to play different situations again.
01:26And in order for us to do well in this tournament we need to obviously learn fast and dig deep as a group.
01:31Antigua and Barbuda Falcons skipper Imad Wasim was an elated man after the win.
01:36He felt Fabian Allen's 45 of 20 balls was extremely crucial.
01:40Look I think for the starter Fabian played unbelievably well.
01:45He took the pressure off me and we always thought anything over 160 is a winning score.
01:49But I think if we get it 167 we would have taken it and then Obad balled really really well.
01:56That win puts the Falcons at the top with TKR falling to 5th.
02:01Vinod Nawani, T6 Sport.
