00:00Kevin, I'm guessing a bit of disappointment after conceding a late equaliser to draw with Shearwater,
00:05especially after you'd played so well in that second half to get in front.
00:09Yeah, look, I think if you look at the game as a whole, we've probably got what we deserved at the game,
00:14which was a point because we didn't compete for the first half.
00:17Probably the most abject, disappointing performance and harshest half-time team talk we've had to have so far.
00:25But, you know, we couldn't really go in and look to make changes because there were that many things that were wrong.
00:32So, collectively, we've got to be better.
00:36You know, we set up in a way and they just don't carry out simple instructions and it makes it difficult because the whole game plan goes out the window.
00:43So, one nil down half-time and probably lucky to be only one nil down.
00:49Second half come out and for 45 minutes were very, very good, knocked on the door.
00:57We lost a bit of momentum probably after 10 minutes of the second half where we played a silly free kick at the back,
01:03slowed the game down, they gained 10 minutes of possession and that.
01:07And it's those little things that you need to manage the game better.
01:11But then, obviously, got two goals and looked comfortable.
01:16And then, I mean, the goal's a long way away from me.
01:20Looks like we haven't dealt with it in our six-yard box.
01:23One, two, three, maybe need to put their hands up as well.
01:26But, I don't know, I'll watch it back and we'll see if it happens so quick.
01:33But that's three games now. We've conceded in 95 plus minutes.
01:38It's cost us a point at tooting.
01:42It's cost us going into the next round of the FA Cup.
01:46And it's cost us two points at home today.
01:48So, if we've got aspirations to be near and around the top, that can't keep happening.
01:58Yeah, I mean, it's obviously very competitive at the minute.
02:01And, you know, you're reading around it, it's quite tightly congested.
02:04But, as you say, if you add those points on, it makes a big difference, doesn't it?
02:08And, obviously, as the season goes on, you're going to need to tighten up on that.
02:12And, yeah, to stop conceding the late goals.
02:15But, I guess, early days still, isn't it? So, plenty of time.
02:19The problem you'll have, though, is other teams will gain momentum.
02:22So, all the time you're not getting it and you have the opportunity to have it and you don't take it, it will catch you out.
02:29I mean, Bad Shortley was a prime example.
02:31We had momentum. We were 1-0 up.
02:33And we had four chances to be 3-0 up after half an hour.
02:36We end up being 3-1 down.
02:38So, you know, until you manage their moments better or get hold of those moments and take them at key times,
02:46you're going to keep dropping points.
02:48So, currently, right now, we probably have to look at our season and say we are where we should be right now
02:56because we're not doing enough to finish games off.
02:59And we're allowing ourselves to switch off at times when, you know, it's going to cost you.
03:05Obviously, you weren't happy at half-time.
03:07But, obviously, to turn it around in the second half, I guess, sort of, you know, obviously,
03:12went to sort of, you know, tell, obviously, the stoppage time equaliser.
03:14But the general performance in the second half was, obviously, positive, wasn't it?
03:18You know, a lot of good play in that second half and pressure.
03:20Yeah, listen, but the thing is, you can be, you know, constructive about it and say well done.
03:26But if you're only going to play for 45 of the 95, then you're going to make it a real tough job.
03:32But saying that, the positive is, 45 of the 95, drawn to all and given two goals.
03:39So, you know, we've got to just wrap it up again, train Thursday, go again Saturday.
03:48We're starting to pick up a few knocks.
03:51It's been a long August again.
03:53I think this is our last midweek now for a few weeks.
03:56So, hopefully, we can just start patching things up and also say to people, you know,
04:00if you're not performing, then we'll make changes.
04:02And the one thing that we have noticed in the eight games is the changes we've made
04:07in nearly all the games have made a difference.
04:09So, the people on the bench are chomping at the bit to get out there.
04:13And it's the lads on the pitch giving the opportunity.
04:16They're not grasping it with both hands at the minute.
04:18So, you know, by now, you should have eight or nine names down on the team ship
04:22without thinking about it.
04:24We're floating around with four or five, you know, and that's not good enough at this stage.
04:29So, look, we've got to get sorted, but it falls on me as well.
04:32You know, I've got to get more out of them.
04:34So, let's see what we can do this week.
04:37Yeah, and then just, yeah, cooing from Casuals on Saturday.
04:39And I guess you'll be looking at, you know, training for people to sort of put their mark on it.
04:43And sort of, yeah, look ahead to that game and then, you know, say competition for places at the moment.
04:48Yeah, I just want a bit of a reaction.
04:50I just want some leaders in and around it, you know.
04:52Like, just don't be led just by the bloke at the top, you know.
04:57You don't need to be told for 95 minutes what to do.
05:02You need to be guided at times.
05:04But the rest of it, you know, we have ways of playing.
05:06They know how to do it.
05:07They know what's expected of them.
05:09Just get on and do it.
05:10And then let the problems come from us doing it my way and getting it wrong.
05:14Because at the minute, we're going in and going, we don't really know if my way's all right
05:18because we're not doing it for 95 minutes.
05:20You're doing it for 45.
05:21And my way then gets you back in the game.
05:24So, you know, it's just, if you want to play for me, do it my way.
05:28If you don't, it's not a problem.
