00:01
Paul, an entertaining 3-0 draw against Gloucester City in a top-of-the-table clash
00:05
and I presume from 2-0 down and 3-2 down, that's viewed as a very good point there.
00:09
Yeah, the game kept swinging and throwing either way, 2-0 down.
00:16
It was a real even game first half, just two moments of quality,
00:21
they took their chances and they were sharp in the box and drove forward well.
00:26
We were a little bit hesitant in driving forward in their box.
00:29
But yeah, two great goals, can't argue with them.
00:32
And then the boys dusted themselves down and got back into it really well.
00:36
Yeah, so there wasn't much in that first half, it was just two really good finishes from Hanks, wasn't it?
00:40
And then at half-time at 2-0 down, I mean, what did you say?
00:43
Because at the start of the second half, you really sort of came right at the traps there, didn't you?
00:47
Yeah, I said there's not too much to change.
00:49
I thought it was a good game of football, two good sides going at it.
00:52
We got undone by two bits of quality, you know, just didn't really track the runner well enough.
00:56
You know, the first goal was great for the second goal, we should have done a little bit better.
01:00
But I said there's not much in it.
01:01
You know, it's about best in both boxes and they've come up with three chances,
01:05
two goals and we haven't put any of ours away.
01:07
So I said the next goal was key in the game.
01:10
You know, if we can get the next goal, we're right back in it.
01:13
And then, yeah, it was a quick-fire double.
01:15
Yeah, so yeah, 2-0 is always that next guy.
01:16
He was straight out of the traps, you know, four minutes into the second half.
01:19
Great, really great ball in from Brandon, wasn't it?
01:21
And knowing Dean heads it in, that sort of builds momentum, doesn't it?
01:24
And then the second one, obviously, with the penalty, Daz steps up, you know, three minutes later.
01:28
Yeah, it was all us second half.
01:30
It was sort of one-way traffic, I think.
01:32
You know, they got in once with Brandon not dealing with the ball, which was a close call.
01:38
But yeah, barring that, it was all us.
01:40
The red card sort of killed the game for us, really.
01:43
You know, they sat in well and the way they drive out with the ball, it suited their game.
01:48
You know, 11 v 11, it was all momentum us.
01:51
And we felt that we were going to get a winner.
01:53
Yeah, so you got the two quick goals for Owen and Daz.
01:55
You had all the momentum.
01:56
And so that second yellow, when they went down to 10, they obviously did change and sit back a bit more.
02:01
And obviously, you made it a bit more difficult to break down, didn't they?
02:04
Yeah, it sort of killed the flow of the game.
02:06
You know, you got a bit of stop-start.
02:07
Those going down, goalies going down, players going down.
02:10
And yeah, we didn't really get back into the groove.
02:12
And yeah, we made a mistake from the throw and got punished with a penalty.
02:15
I'm not sure what he'd give it for, whether it was a foul or a handball.
02:18
It seemed to take ages to give it.
02:20
But yeah, we sort of shot ourselves in the foot.
02:23
And you know, the great characters are the boys to come back again with another penalty.
02:26
Yeah, so yeah, I mean, it looks a bit soft there, Penn.
02:28
But you know, it's a great character, isn't it?
02:30
When you've had all the momentum and you get a setback like that, you know, no doubts.
02:34
The characters there come back again, isn't it?
02:36
Yeah, we come back again.
02:37
You know, it could have been out of sight.
02:38
I think, you know, I think the referees had a nightmare tonight for both teams.
02:41
You know, I think they could have been a couple men down like early doors with a few robust tackles.
02:48
But yeah, I think they should have maybe looked like they should have had a penalty before we got our penalty.
02:52
And yeah, we got lucky on that.
02:55
And then right at the end, the second pen, obviously, Oggo fouled.
02:58
And then Cook's, you know, 89 minutes out.
03:00
It's a pressure pen, isn't it?
03:01
And he steps up.
03:02
Yeah, it's a pressure pen.
03:03
Yeah, especially for him as well.
03:04
You know, coming back into the side of what he's been doing.
03:06
And yeah, you know, he's a confident lad.
03:08
And we had no doubt here to start it away.
03:10
And in five minutes of added time, obviously hope for a winner.
03:13
But, you know, as you say, with everything tonight, you say the comeback and the good performance.
03:17
It's loads of positives still, isn't it?
03:18
Yeah, loads of positives.
03:19
Yeah.
03:20
Again, it was a strange one, that five minutes injury time.
03:22
You know, three penalties, physios on umpteen times, the red cards.
03:25
And he got five minutes.
03:27
So I think he just moved to home.
03:29
Yeah.
03:30
And now a chance on Saturday to make more history, isn't it, FA Cup?
03:33
You've already set the record.
03:34
Yeah.
03:35
But Dorchester's the chance to go another round, isn't it, if you can?
03:37
Yeah, it is, yeah.
03:38
You know, we're looking at, obviously, some boys need minutes as well.
03:41
And it's a, you know, we've got a good week of cup football.
03:43
So there's plenty of minutes for the boys coming up.
03:45
Yeah, FA Cup Saturday and another cup game Tuesday night.
03:48
I'm assuming that's a good chance, you know, just to mix things up as you need to sort of thing.
03:53
Yeah, we do it on Saturday as well.
03:54
You know, it's a great chance to go as far as we can.
03:56
But, you know, it's a squad game throughout the season.
03:59
And, you know, I trust everyone.
04:00
So I trust them to do a good job.
04:01
And injury-wise, any sort of players, maybe?
04:03
I just met Mackenzie come up at half-time.
04:04
Yeah.
04:05
Felt something on the outside of his knee.
04:06
So you'll see how he is.
04:07
But, yeah, most really won't be risked.
04:09
So I want to show you guys, maybe?
04:10
Yeah.
04:11
Yeah.
04:12
You should be the police.
04:13
Right?
04:14
Mm-hmm.
04:15
So, I believe it's been a day for people.
04:17
Mm-hmm.
04:18
You should be the police.
04:19
It's a great day.
04:20
It's a great day for people.
04:21
Yeah.
04:22
What are you doing?
04:23
It's a great day.
04:24
It's a great day.
