00:20and allow the moments to pass by in a serene way because it's important for us to support

00:26the culture and that's what I'm here to do. I want to enjoy myself and immerse myself in

00:29whoever and whatever is going on.

00:33What does it mean to you to be outside tonight at your first time at this award show?

00:36It means a lot. It means a whole lot because, you know,

00:40it's important for us to have a platform where we can also celebrate our culture and celebrate

00:44the style awards and the great ones who have been contributing to the culture for over the years

00:48instead of trying to piggyback on other people's award and sometimes we get resentful when we're

00:53not acknowledged. But this epitomize what the culture is truly about from various regions,

00:58not only Jamaica, but the whole entire region and other genres as well.

01:02So it's important for us to support and it's important for us to show out.

01:06Absolutely. We love that so much. You know, I love what you said about us carving out space

01:10for ourselves and not looking for validation elsewhere, but building our own stuff, building
