Sizzla caught up with ‘Love Island USA’ Chelley Bissainthe & Billboard’s Kyle Denis on the red carpet at the Caribbean Music Awards 2025.

00:00How are you doing tonight, sir?

00:01I'm doing great.

00:02I'm doing quite fine, thank you.

00:04Mr. Sizzler, you are being honored with the Humanitarian Award tonight for your work with the Sizzler Youth Foundation.

00:09How does it feel to be recognized for your work in that field?

00:13Rastafara, that's just awesome to show that you've been appreciated to support the kids and support the people.

00:18And this is a foundation, like you know, charity starts at home.

00:21We always like to be giving to the people.

00:23It's better to give than be receiving, and that's what it's all about.

00:26You know, you might find someone on the road and think that that person is okay, but no way.

00:30You know, sometimes those persons haven't had a good meal for the whole entire day.

00:34So when we have foundation that we can give back and help the people, that's just great,

00:38because you never know what that person might be.

00:40You know what I mean?

00:41You've been at a stage yourself, and you've become quite affluent, and you can help yourself out.

00:48So I think you should just throw stones behind you.

00:53Look around and see people needing help, and just help them.

00:56So this is what we do.

00:57We set the NGOs so we can help the people officially.

00:59Absolutely.

01:00What does it mean to you to still be getting so much recognition and so many honors several decades into your career?

01:06It meant a whole lot.

01:07It meant that the people, they're still focused, they're still observing, they're still listening,

01:11and they still need to be freed.

01:12And having persons like Sisla, myself, and other great artists represent the people,

01:17the people should be quite out of this impoverished state and the marginalized state they're in.

01:25So we've just got to stick together, spread the love, and help the people.

01:29And you're celebrating 30 years.

01:30What does that feel like?

01:32I'm telling you, that's just great, you know what I'm saying?

01:34Because this is where I'm at, you know, me, and I'm coming from a stage where there was nothing at all,

01:38and this is where I'm at.

01:39So I've just got to pay respect and give thanks to the Mostar, and nothing is possible without the Mostar.

01:44And secondly, nothing is possible without the Mostar.

01:44And secondly, nothing is possible without the people supporting you.

01:47So promote the people, promote the planet.
