Romain Virgo caught up with ‘Love Island USA’ Chelley Bissainthe & Billboard’s Kyle Denis on the red carpet at the Caribbean Music Awards 2025.

00:00I believe we have a reggae superstar coming up. Mr. Romain Virgo. Yes, sir. How are you?

00:08We're getting a little bit cramped, but what's up, Mr. Romain? How are you doing tonight?

00:13I'm doing good. Just happy to be here, you know, at our third. It's going to be annual, you know, continue.

00:21You know, we're so happy to be a part of the Caribbean Music Award.

00:24But I was here the first year, last year, and it's been amazing. It's growing, and that's the most beautiful thing.

00:30Absolutely. You know, I've been there before. It's one of my favorite songs of the past year.

00:34And on top of that, you have about four nominations this year.

00:36What does it feel like to walk into this theater and be nominated four times tonight?

00:41Unbelievable. You know, I just show you what consistency and just believing in yourself and putting in the work,

00:46regardless of what is happening. You know, you just have to believe in yourself and work out.

00:50And all of this is happening because of the Gentleman album.

00:54You know, and being there before is my life story.

00:56And as I said, so many of us can relate to it. You just said it's one of your favorites.

01:00So, you know, it's just a joy, man, to see it. You can do music, and you wrote that from a personal point of view,

01:05but then it's able to touch somebody else and become their story as well.

01:11So, it's a joy, man.

01:13Absolutely. Tonight is like a big family reunion, but who are you most excited to see tonight?

01:17Hi, everybody. Like, right now, I see some of my favorite artists, and I'm just like a big fan now.

01:22Like, I don't know if I can't chew all of my emotions.

01:25You know, it's just joyful to see us as Caribbean people getting this moment to celebrate our culture.

01:30There's nothing bigger than this for us. You know?

01:33I'm going to continue to say, like, this is our Grammys. You know what I mean?

01:38And we should take it serious as artists. We should support. We should continue to support, you know, as much as we can,

01:43because this can only get bigger and better, and I'm so happy that I've been here from day one.

01:48I can show off to my grandchildren and tell them, say, hey, I was there from the initial stages, you know?

01:53So, big love. Look up to the entire team, everybody who's a part of the awards. Big love every time.
