00:03An award-winning Derbyshire micro-pub has been given the green lights to stay open an hour longer each day and to use outdoor seating.
00:11Adam Taylor, who is the owner of the Pickled Pear at Poulterton, applied to Bolsover District Council to extend the opening hours until 11pm and to create a small seating area to the side of the pub.
00:22The seating area would be used between 10am and 9pm seven days a week.
00:27Several letters of support for the proposal were submitted to the council, who approved the application on an officer's recommendation.
00:34The Pickled Pear was awarded Chesterfield Camera's micro-pub of the year 2025 award.
00:41Louise Jones, MP for North East Derbyshire, has announced that she has married a fellow Labour MP.
00:46She shared the happy news on her social media accounts yesterday, revealing that she had married Jevan Sander, Labour MP for Loughborough earlier this month, in a private ceremony with family and friends attending.

00:58She added that although she will be changing her surname to Sander Jones, constituents would still be able to contact her via email at louise.jones.mp at parliament.uk.
