00:00so we've got two of these to do we did one last week sort of kind of wrapping up training camp
00:05uh this one we have no game next week and we have to do one next week going into the season so how
00:11do we how do we frame this one and this is what we decided on tomorrow is cut down day so i asked
00:16greg and maz three trending up heading into tomorrow afternoon and three trending down
00:22that could mean guys rising onto the roster guys rising down from the roster or a guy who started
00:27as what you had as the 55th guy who's now the 35th guy you know what i mean roster risers and fallers
00:34three up go ahead who's number one so number one for me is elijah ponder number 91 edge guy uh he's
00:43undrafted free agent out of cal poly he's 6'3 um 260 i i've been really impressed with him this summer
00:51the his position coach like raved about him said like he's the best undrafted guy he's ever worked
00:57with or something like that but i i i wonder you know and i don't i don't know how much you guys
01:02have talked about it but like keon white has fallen behind not only he's he's fallen behind caleb on
01:09chase on at uh defensive end i wonder if he's also behind christ uh elijah ponder uh because keon
01:16white and and to vrabel's credit i saw him i think it was the practice before the giants preseason game
01:22uh i saw variable working one-on-one with keon white on his like pass rush moves i mean he just
01:28i will say he's he's more assignment sure this year there were some freelancing problems uh the past
01:33couple years um he's graded out well for me in the preseason games but he doesn't have any pass rush
01:39moves he's just a power guy where elijah ponder's got a lot more juice to him a lot more agility
01:46uh a variety of pass rush moves so uh to me he's definitely been ascending and i would be shocked
01:53if he's not on this team as an undrafted free agent efton chisholm i thought he was going to be a
01:58practice squad now i think he's on the roster number two greg uh cam riley linebacker number 42 i'm sorry
02:05i did this yep yeah yeah go ahead come on the people like this stuff obviously more than the coach calling
02:11his organization a bunch of rats so go ahead let's talk about life for riley what's this guy's name
02:16cam riley cam riley number 42 inside linebacker uh out of florida state another undrafted free agent
02:21this guy's like almost six foot five 228 pounds he can run now i have him on my final 53 um it could
02:30be wishful thinking but uh there's something there and i think this team like i did my column after the
02:36giants game just basically being like how many guys nfl players or their type of guys did they
02:42even have on this roster and i came up with 33 out of 49 wow and only one linebacker robert spillane
02:50that was the only guy now christian ellis is fine he's good you know he's he does some things but
02:56like why wouldn't you keep a guy like but they're slow they're not that athletic cam riley is athletic
03:03he's got a lot of potential he's a guy i would put on the 53 as sort of like a future bet uh dj james
03:10he's been like one of the real sort of you know uh what's i'm looking for breakout guys in camp
03:15and so he got an opportunity obviously because they've had openings at corner to me like he came
03:20out of nowhere but he's played well number three greg uh del pettis the safety number 24 now
03:27now he is also a guy that i had on my final 53 again it might be wishful thinking uh i will say
03:34that on my final 53 i put kendrick bourne and jelani tavai on in-season ir you can move two guys
03:40it used to be where you used to have to keep guys on the 53 and then move them to ir now you can move
03:45two guys there and not have to basically cut somebody for that um and del pettis is one of the
03:52guys that i kept there um for special teams and also you know he's really physical i think he's
03:57rabel's type of guy like more than uh one of the guys that i'm going to mention on my down list okay
04:03parker romo i thought coming into camp boragallis was going to be the guy they used to pick on him
04:08the other guys kick better i think he's going to make the team okay three trending down heading into
04:12tomorrow who's in trouble i did want to mention uh you're going to like this javari ritzy
04:19number 93 defensive tackle and david olajiga number 96 the international pathway player
04:24i think that those guys have i think they're nfl players they had good summers but i couldn't fit
04:29them what's international pathway so you get a free roster stop stop stop stop please just go
04:34three down who's in trouble number one cole strange i think it's over it's uh he they tried
04:40they gave him every opportunity left guard center right guard uh never worked he was not good in the
04:48giants game he was never over not for one day did he look like the right pick nope not one not for
04:54one second correct never not once first round pick never not one that one's good that's like the
05:00classic belichick move let me take a guy that nobody else would take it to the fourth round oh my god
05:05who's who do you got i remember dugger i can't at this stage with all the stuff that's been out there
05:09about him i can't imagine he's gonna make the team or they're gonna keep him he better he better make it
05:16yeah yeah yeah i see the logic if there's only 33 viable guys and doug was an nfl player if they
05:24released him he'd get picked up somewhere you know he would so you only got 33 guys and you're gonna
05:30let him go because what he makes too much money or you're busting his balls because of his contractor
05:34unhappy with him how he looks after the contractor you're the one that signed him so uh he better be on
05:40the team so i did have dugger i moved dugger he's been a trade bait for me the whole time and off my
05:47roster i did move him onto the roster because for two reasons i did think he finally started to look
05:52like his old self in the giants game he showed up as opposed to some other people like keon white in
05:57that game he looked like an nfl starter against backups uh also i don't think anybody's going to
06:02take on that contract and considering where they are roster wise like you talked about um i don't
06:09care about the money for this year i mean you keep him for one year keep him around then you let him
06:12go the future money's off your books but keep him around for this year maybe you maybe he plays maybe
06:19you do trade him at the trade deadline i don't know but for now i think that this roster is too poor to
06:25move kyle bugger off the roster exactly uh number two faller so i have jack gibbons the linebacker
06:33number 51 he was never was he in was he in a place where yes he was he was a guy that they signed
06:41um you know decently early in in um in free agency he has background he was with rabel in tennessee
06:47it looked like he might be the starter next to robert spillane but then it was christian ellis
06:54and i would keep two guys um the uh uh cam riley who i mentioned and also martin mapu over jack
07:02gibbons he looks so slow against the giants like i i just don't see it i had two guys in the second
07:08spot because i can't imagine that they're both going to be on this team and that's vidarian low
07:13and demontre jacobs someone's gotta go yes i have to believe that they're going to be in the market for
07:21a backup tackle of some sort and one of those two clowns is up the door right i mean i can't
07:28imagine they stay did you see somebody had a report yesterday that the patriots were were uh made are
07:35making vidarian low and demontre jacobs available for trade i almost i mean i'm sure they're playing
07:40hard to get with those guys too i mean the highest of is that a joke only the highest level offer is
07:46nothing less than the third all right uh third uh roster faller please mention someone i i know
07:54i've heard of uh no promises uh marcus epps the safety god i this is the last time we do this
08:00exercise go ahead the listeners like this stuff no no marcus epps is a guy he was a starter in philly
08:07josh mcdaniel signed him as a free agent with the raiders i've heard the name started in this league
08:12i've heard the name i just can't tell you what he does but yes but he's coming off acl surgery
08:16he played i think the most snaps in the preseason on defense and i don't remember one of them other
08:21than him getting beat for a touchdown in this last game like i i know he's coming back from acl he's out
08:27he he's got to be out and that's another reason why i have del pettis over over markets ups if um
08:34uh parker romo is on then aurora borigales is off
08:40bye-bye i i that guy's had a crappy can be can't kick see you later bye-bye so there there's a
08:50segment right there that just might as well have been in mandarin chinese because you out there
08:54couldn't understand when what i mean by that is you haven't heard of 80 of the names and the words
09:00that were just you people tell tell felger send them emails i want to hear it later this is the
09:05last time you do the bottom of the roster fallers and uh elijah ponder what who am riley who cam
09:11riley never heard of that person i don't know who that guy is who is the ritsy guy huh who the
09:15ritsy ritsy who ritz cracker pettis that's unbelievable connor mcdermott the last time that's
09:24it no more jameel douglas did dan skipper he's a journeyman he ended up being a pretty good player
09:31seriously still in the league and by the way uh old school halte froholt remember he was one of
09:37their draft picks i liked him they cut him he's he's been starting at center for the cardinals for
09:44like multiple years okay no one cares yes people do but not you you know you're not a person you know
09:49what people might care about i got an email on someone who's actually david olajiga oh god
09:54no yes i'm gonna see david olajiga who's that david olajiga number 96 the international pathway
10:02oh god no we're not doing the international pathway and i think we're gonna see david olajiga okay the
10:06uh taekwon thornton is like on the chiefs getting looks getting targets in the mix he had a big catch
10:14in the last game like not even a roster i just according to an emailer he might be totally wrong
10:18he might be cut today no he was balling out in that preseason game against chicago did his wrists
10:22grow or what this is an emailer who said he's firmly in the mix in kansas city taekwon thornton
10:27wouldn't that be a whack across the face with a wet sasage if that guy turns into a player for patrick
10:33mahomes wouldn't that be something as opposed to uh elijah ponder who
10:37oh open side i can't imagine you want to talk about any of that but any patriots item you do want
10:43to talk about there's a cam riley open lines at 617-779-0985 david olajiga number 96 the
10:51international pathway player and i think we're going to see david olajiga
10:54you
