00:12the boys who've worked hard really really proud of mentality around not sort of focusing on what
00:18was missing from their team but you know what was in our team and other bikes stepping up
00:22you know that was evident last week with Keenan and their two back rowers and Callum and then
00:29they went to another level for us tonight for the club for their teammates yeah they they took
00:35the responsibility upon themselves and sometimes you know what that's what happens when guys get
00:39given opportunities that they might necessarily get and sometimes each everyone just sort of blends
00:44into each other Keenan knew he had to step up tonight and he did a great job he was great
00:49physically and then you know our two wingers physically were really good with the ball too
00:52is that the best performance since you've been here yep yep um I feel like it's been building
00:59towards that you know the last couple of weeks we've just got on top of some red zone errors but
01:04you know we've got to be really careful uh we don't want to squash our mentality and how we play because
01:09I feel like there's a point of difference for us and it makes it hard to defend um you go you know
01:15sometimes I've got to wear a little bit of the mistakes or looseness that at times comes with it
01:21but as long as we're prepared to keep having the right attitude to to defend it I'll live with it
01:26so the ad hoc play in the first half was was spectacular wasn't it we happy with that yeah
01:32like I said it's we train for it which is good um and so the boys are practicing they're not just
01:38doing it off the cuff um and so then you know they put a lot of time into what we do at training um
01:45and you know we hadn't won a five-day turnaround all season and so we changed it up this week and
01:50um that's another beauty that I like about the team they're pretty adaptable you know I've changed
01:56things on the run where sometimes you know teams want to just be in that routine of doing the same
02:00thing every week and these guys have adapted really well to some changes when I feel like we've
02:05needed it um and you know our high performance guys have adapted to those changes as well and
02:10enforce them and I feel like we've got the benefit tonight Jake Connor looked like he spent most of
02:15the second half telling everyone else to calm down a bit was that the message at half time
02:18yeah you know Jake does a lot of well not sort of the calm down but um you know we challenge Jake
02:23around making sure that he's in control of the team that's his job and you know and his emotions and
02:28you know he he does a lot of quality stuff and his skill set is really good and but you know the
02:35thing I keep challenging around is his toughness and his ability to stay um focused on the for the
02:41full 80 minutes and because that's his job you know to manage the performance of the rest of the guys
02:47Lockie Miller scared the life out of the whole chaos tonight didn't he what can you say about
02:50the game of form he's in at the moment yeah he's you know there's some things there at times you know
02:57why you're doing that but like you just got to let him go because he's so dangerous and he's so hard
03:01to defend and he's a good player and you know I have to wear every now and then but I feel like
03:05the thing that he's really improved is those brain snaps are very far few and far between and um you
03:14know just keep talking to him about staying in control of his emotions because he's such a
03:17competitor and he wants to win you know what he's in everything you know he's in the rest place he's
03:20in everything and you know he can stay on on top of his emotions just make sure he's clear
03:25thinking for 80 minutes he's very very good player were you unhappy with the six
03:30yeah but you know what yeah I just have to live with it don't I um yeah they're a good side
03:40yeah you keep them to nil I don't know but um real close

03:47just his drawings you know he's been sort of carrying them for the season um yeah so I'm not
03:52sure how bad they are and hopefully you know might be able to get a fair turn around this week so
03:58uh but you know we're in a position where we've got guys there that can do a good job you know
04:04we're able to put Callum there like what a luxury he is just to be able to move in there and we don't
04:08miss a beat just lastly for me the atmosphere tonight the reaction of the players at the final
04:13whistle felt like you'd won something tonight but I mean you're gonna have to wait for that but does
04:17it feel like it's a step forward this evening uh definitely yeah on the back of it's very easy
04:23after winning last week 60 whatever it was and you know we've a really good clinical performance
04:29the hard thing is to go and do it the next week against the best team in the comp um you know we
04:34still we still got a bit of work to do but you know we want to work extremely hard at a week-to-week
04:41mentality but at the back of it in the back of their heads we we're desperate to try and get a home
04:45for them Brad um Keenan Palacier's arrival was probably a little bit low-key at the time but
04:52you look at the middles you've got out now Cameron Cooper Jenkins Michalai is the fact he's sort of
04:57emerged into a leader for this pack really pleasing for you yeah I thought he started the season was
05:02really good um you know and I talked to him and then it wasn't bad after that he was just sort of
05:08blending into the game and you know he's still doing his job and you know I talked to him about well
05:13people are only going to remember what you do at the back end of the season not how good you were
05:17at the start of the season and you know challenge him around a couple of things and the last couple
05:21of weeks I know I only played him 27 minutes last week but I started him and he'd done his job for
05:25us at the start and it allowed me to give game time to other guys so I was grateful for that but
05:30in the back of my head I knew what I needed from him tonight and then he delivered it for us
05:34you mentioned Lockie's emotions there is that the big difference and the big thing you've worked on
05:38with him during your time here just keeping all of that in check well it's just all of them now you get
05:42excited you know you look at Harry I thought it's probably Harry's most controlled 80 minutes
05:46tonight so um you know because it's they want to win which is great you know I can't drive that
05:52into them that's good that's from within the group and it's infectious but um it's just that control
05:58and that excitement and emotion to make sure they concentrate on their job for a full 80 minutes
06:02she touched on Callum as well he's started at 13 he went into the front row 20 minutes at centre at the end
06:09I mean he's spoken about his desire to maybe nudge Sean Wayne for an England place he's playing
06:14well enough isn't he he is mate I'll let him name let him pick the team next week where he wants to
06:19play you know he can just do do whatever he likes um in terms of his position and nothing phases him
06:25you know what different challenges I give him each week I need this from me I need that you know so
06:30he just does whatever's best for the team and he does it without fuss mate how how pivotal has that
06:34moment been in your season obviously it came about for a real disastrous set of circumstances
06:39at Salford but it just seems to have ignited something in your team to have a play with
06:43his leadership you know I said to Blaise he'd be the best signing he's ever made in his history of
06:47his you know his job um it's a great signing it's really helped our team
06:51yeah um he's doing a great job we always knew he had the potential um now he's got to you know go
07:05and back it up and live it from week to week but I feel like the guys around him have done a really
07:09good job in getting him through um this stage you know but you know because it's quite easy for
07:14for them not to do their job and then it makes it harder for him to do his job so um you know like I
07:20said like that was the challenge for Keenan to show him the way make his job easier um but yeah
07:25look Prez is you know only at the real start of his career and he's only going to get better and
07:30better and he's going to get some things right he's going to get some things wrong you know um but
07:35yeah there's a fair bit of potential there and he's he's been playing obviously prop tonight he's been
07:39playing back row where do you see his position or he's he sort of can float yeah um we can the good
07:46thing about is he can play both um but I think at the moment he's he's liking what he's doing in
07:51the middle and it's probably an easier transition in terms of the football aspect to go into the
07:57middle for him um just keep it pretty simple and you know like learning the back row role is just
