00:00Hey, it's People on 10. Tracee Ellis Ross and Michelle Obama go way back. She's even
00:09close with her hubby Barack and comfortable calling them both for advice when she needs
00:13it. But one time, Barry dropped the ball. I broke up with someone and I remember running
00:18into the former president and he was like, I could have told you that. And I was like,
00:21well, you failed as a friend. That would have been nice to know beforehand. She says the
00:26one thing she hasn't asked them yet is to set her up with someone. Well, they owe you
00:30one now. Get on it, Michelle. Shailene Woodley and Lucas Bravo are getting intense. Tee hee.
00:37It's a camping joke because months after these two went Instagram official in April, they
00:42were all smiles on a summer camping trip with friends. Now, Lucas has since deleted the pics
00:47from his grid, but my God, we saw what we saw. It sure looked like a great time. And
00:52that sunset, gorgeous. Keep them up next time. Here I am proud to own one home. And then I
00:59hear Catherine Zeta Jones claiming that owning four houses with her husband Michael Douglas
01:04isn't excessive, respectfully. What? So they have one in Canada, one in Spain, and two in
01:10New York. Even though it sounds very jet set, and even though she herself admits she likes to
01:14surround herself with beauty, she insists it's not excessive, it's very comfortable. If you say
01:20so, girl. And while we're talking celebrity homes, it looks like Prince William and Princess
01:26Kate are getting some new digs of their own. Let's find out more.
01:30Hey, Mika. What's up? Hey, Stephanie. Okay. Why are these two moving? Isn't their current
01:35mansion good enough? Well, you can never have enough space, right?
01:38So three years ago, Prince William and Princess Kate moved from London to Windsor. They currently
01:42reside at Adelaide Cottage, which has four bedrooms, but it seems they're really loving the area.
01:47So they're going to stay, and they're upgrading to the eight-bedroom Forest Lodge.
01:52Come on, upgrade. All right, imagine it. What would be on that Zillow listing?
01:56Yeah, this is a Georgian-era mansion that was built in the 1770s, and it has a ton of amenities,
02:02tennis courts, Venetian windows, marble fireplaces, just to name a few. It also underwent a $2 million
02:09restoration back in 2001, and we hear William and Kate are going to make some other upgrades before
02:14they move in. They're also going to pay rent, which shouldn't be a problem because Prince William
02:18makes $30 million annually from the Duchy of Cornwall Estate. Adelaide Cottage and Forest Lodge
02:24are located just four miles apart, both in Windsor, but in addition to more space, it's notable that
02:28they're going to get more privacy in their new home. They even asked nearby neighbors to vacate their
02:33houses, and they won't even have live-in staff. Even their nanny is going to live in a separate nearby
02:38property.
02:38Girl, we need to talk to those neighbors. Okay, walk me through this. What happens when
02:43Prince William becomes king? Not saying it's going to happen anytime soon, but I thought the king and
02:48queen, they live in Buckingham Palace. Maybe that used to be the case, but sources are telling us
02:52that this is Kate and William's forever home, and they plan on staying there even when William is king.
02:57More than anything, I think this move is giving the family a fresh start after a few difficult years
03:01that included Queen Elizabeth's death, as well as King Charles and Kate's cancer news.
03:05Well, that makes sense. Now that they asked the neighbors to vacate, I don't know if they're
03:09going to be getting any housewarming gifts. And thank you for the tea, Stephanie. I'll talk to
03:13you later.
03:14Bye.
03:15All right, bye.
03:16Helen Mirren continues to prove age is just a number. At 80 years old, she's an icon,
03:22a Hollywood legend. But in this week's People Cover Story, she's sharing the one thing she finds
03:27galling as she gets older.
03:29Patronizing condescension. If anyone looks at me and says, oh, that's so sweet. I hate it when they do that.
03:35Looking back at her life, she acknowledges mistakes were made, but she's got no regrets.
03:40There are endless things I do differently, but I didn't. So I live with what I've done.
03:46Hopefully you learn from your mistakes. You learn from other people's mistakes a lot.
03:52And with age comes wisdom. So when she revealed her simple life mantra, we took notes.
03:57I have this attitude, which is you just take one day at a time. Just get through today and tomorrow
04:03will take care of itself.
04:06MSNBC is saying goodbye to its name. The cable news channel announced a rebrand this week,
04:11which comes after its recent exit from NBCUniversal. Its new name, my source for news,
04:16opinion and world or MSNOW for short. Huh? And let's just say viewers have some thoughts on the
04:22makeover. The network's also making major shakeups to their on-air talent. So guess we'll have to stay tuned.
04:29And speaking of backlash, Chris Pratt is catching heat for defending RFK Jr., his mother-in-law's cousin.
04:35So after Chris called him great on a podcast.
04:38I think he's funny. He's wonderful. I like him. Yes. I love him. And in politics, you inherit enemies.
04:43And when you jump on the bandwagon with who is the most divisive president ever, it makes sense that
04:52you're going to be made to look terrible. That prompted JFK's grandson to come out swinging
05:01at his cousin's husband. And he was not the only one. Many of you also sounded off while others
05:06praised and defended him. Aren't in-laws great? Losing a loved one is incredibly difficult.
05:13And Aubrey Plaza is opening up about her experience eight months after the death of
05:17her husband, Jeff Beina. He died by suicide in January at just 47 years old. But Aubrey found
05:23a safe space to talk about it with her friend, Amy Poehler. She calls her grief a daily struggle.
05:29At all times, there's like a giant like ocean of just awfulness that's like right there and I can
05:38like see it. And like sometimes I just want to like just dive into it and just like be in it.
05:44And then and then sometimes I just like look at it. And then sometimes I'm like, I just try to get
05:49away from it. But it's always there. Sensing a change of topic might be needed. Amy spooked in
05:54with some jokes to lighten the mood. And soon they were both laughing again. Everyone is talking about
06:01the biggest loser this week. Thanks to Netflix. They were like, we want them to puke. We want
06:07the madness. People are shocked by some of the claims in this doc, like how contestants worked
06:12out for up to eight hours a day running on as low as 800 calories and how they got no follow-up care
06:19after the show ended. There's also Jillian Michaels' decision to allegedly give her contestants
06:24caffeine supplements, something she's now denying. She didn't participate in the doc for fellow trainer,
06:29Bob Harper and medical advisor, Dr. Robert Huizenga did. She says they're lying and she's coming
06:35with receipts. Now it's to sit down with Taylor Kitsch. Hi Taylor. Let's dig right in your new
06:43show, The Terminalist, Dark Wolf. It's a prequel to The Terminalist, which came out in 2022.
06:48Tell us what we need to know going into the premiere. Honestly, it would be great if you did watch season
06:53one, just with the brotherhood and that situation and the relationships, which is what I think drives
06:59season one. But what you have to know, I don't know. I don't think there's one thing. Just be open
07:06and enjoy the ride, really. I need to know that you can find the brakes.
07:13There are no brakes. We have some new and old faces making appearances, including Chris Pratt.
07:20How is catching up with him when you get back on set? Even day one, chemistry was never forced,
07:25and he's a very genuine guy. He does honestly root for you to win on and off set. I don't know.
07:32It's just been a very easy day with him shooting and off camera. And when he asked me if I'd consider
07:40going in and doing this whole Dark Wolf part of Ben and diving into that, it was just another chance
07:46to work with him and this amazing team too. So it's been an amazing ride.
07:51It seems like you're drawing more serious roles and salt of the earth type characters.
07:56Does this mean in real life you're a lovey-dovey goofball?
07:59I'd like to treat life lightly for sure and have a good laugh. I don't know. I'm always chasing
08:06adventure. Fly fishing, camping, or photography, or motorcycle riding. I love doing that kind of,
08:12like big escape adventures are kind of what I've dialed into, especially of late. We just
08:18motorcycled Spain two weeks ago. So I love it.
08:23I know you're close with your sister. How would she describe you?
08:27Oh, man. Well, I have two sisters, but I'm guessing you're talking about Shelby.
08:34She's actually quite like me. So adventurous, risk-taking, risk-seeking, and caution of the wind
08:42kind of thing. I feel like my sister might describe me as a pain.
08:46Yeah, I'm sure she'd throw that in there maybe. I can be very protective for sure of them.
08:53You call Montana home these days and you started a non-profit out there called Howler's Ridge,
08:58which has a beautiful and important mission. What are your hopes and dreams for its future?
09:03Yeah, howlersridge.org. This is 100% veteran built. We have two full-time vets on now. We're about to
09:11build the last structure, which is the main lodge that literally is over this ridge. I think dealing
09:18with trauma or whatever problem it is, it's very subjective, right? So I think you're always just
09:25aiming to make a positive difference in someone's life, either small or big. We can't promise
09:32anybody anything except an environment that'll promote change.
09:37We know you chose not to return for the reboot of Friday Night Lights,
09:40which is understandable. What advice would you give to the reboot's cast as someone who has lived
09:44through being on such a fan favorite show? Have fun. Don't worry about if it's going to be big or not.
09:51Just take absolute ownership of whatever character you're given. Take risks and enjoy it because it's
09:59not going to last forever. But is Texas forever? Yeah, Texas forever. Texas forever.
10:06Okay, finally, we're going to put 10 seconds on the clock. Tell everyone why they should watch the
10:11Terminalist Dark Wolf. Chris Pratt, myself, Tom Hopper, Luke Hemsworth are in it. Character-driven,
10:18action-packed, incredibly authentic, with twists I guarantee you will not see coming. Enjoy the ride.
