00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name is Theo Hewson-Beds and today I'm out on the streets of Manchester
00:04talking to people about restaurants, bars and cafes. And that's because here in Manchester
00:08we have a pretty consistent turnover with some places shutting and new ones popping open
00:12almost as quickly as the old ones leave the city. We want to know if people had to set up
00:18one of a restaurant, bar and cafe, how would they make it unique? What do they think that
00:23the scene here in Manchester is missing and what special little recipe do they think that
00:27they could bring to make this place a success? It could be anything from a record-themed cafe
00:33to a bookshop-themed bar, a restaurant based purely around mangoes. There's endless options
00:38so let's go see what people have to say. Well we've been quite a few haven't we've been over
00:43Manchester. I mean the last few weeks we've been in obviously for Oasis and we've been
00:49joined in a definitely made a bar and that was great. So the theme there we thought was
00:53really good. As far as us setting up our own, don't really know really. I think Manchester's
00:59got a bit of everything so I don't think it's really missing anything at all really. Pinchos mate,
01:04they're good in Bilba. Do you know what the theme would be? Just Spain, warmth, sun, we don't
01:09get any of that. So I'm going to make it warm and that's why it's going to be a success because
01:12you don't get any of that in Manchester. I'm obsessed with the acai bowls at the minute so
01:18I'm anything to do with that. I think maybe like a game, karaoke, like with a wee, you know
01:27like childhood vibes. Oh yeah, nostalgic, yeah. I think maybe something just with nibbles. Food vibes? Yeah, yeah. A bar that saved beers with nibbles.
01:42I think if we were doing something, we'd just have basic things we're not wearing. Like, yeah, just quick snacks sort of thing really. Nothing, sit down, no fancy meals, just quick snacks that you can either eat on the go or have a quick five, ten minutes sit down.
01:57Similar to that, but it's a bar that just shows Premier League years reruns and all we watch is Premier League years and all they serve is, I'm going to go Guinness, yeah. Guinness with just Premier League reruns. That'll suit me down to the ground. And then there's some small places as well.
02:15Maybe like a cafe in the day and a bar at night. Yeah. So you get like your fun coffees, matches in the day and then like fun cocktails at night. Yeah, I like that.
02:27Yeah, I think something a little bit different. Not just playing fries and I think I'll have to go for something a bit more Mediterranean.
02:39Now, just because I think this is a fun question, I'm going to tell you my idea, which would be a bar that shows purely old football games. We're talking full length games, not just little clipped highlights.
02:48A great little range of beers and we serve two cocktails, spicy margaritas and espresso martinis and that's it. So let us know if you have a great idea that you think could set Manchester alight and follow Manchester World for more.
