People on the street: The best pubs in Manchester

We went out into Manchester to ask people what makes a good pub and where their favourite spot is in the city.

00:04asking people about pubs and that's particularly relating to Real Ale because

00:08Camera, the campaign for Real Ale, do a great list every year of some of the best pubs in your area.

00:13We want to know what people's favourite pub is and what they think makes a good pub.

00:17Guys, erm, the one I really like is the Rosen Monkey, which is just over on Great Anchorage Street.

00:23So it's easy to walk to from mine. Erm, I like how comfortable it is.

00:27I like the beer garden, I like the drinks are great, there's a lovely mixture of drinks, it's friendly

00:32and there's also some crazy live music on as well.

00:35I'd have to say the Millstone. Erm, I've had many a good night in the Millstone.

00:40It kind of has a little bit of everything, karaoke, decent prices, a lot of character in there.

00:46So in terms of city centre pubs, I think Millstone's got to be the one for me.

00:49And you judge the atmosphere when you go in, don't you? How friendly people are.

00:54The people behind the bar, are they accommodating?

00:58Yeah.
