Leeds: How concerned are you about rising prices?

With prices going up for everything from food to utility bills, are we being ripped off and are you tired of being ripped off?

00:00The prices have gone up quite a bit in the last couple of years, so not very pleased about that.

00:05I think it's absolutely disgusting. We're not being looked after as a country when it comes to

00:10this. The rise of minimum wage is not matching the rise of the cost of living.

00:16Over the past year and a half, I've been establishing my art business, so I upcycle

00:21clothes. But because it takes a while and I want to survive, I have to give myself a standard wage.

00:27And it just means that when you put time and effort into something to make it sustainable

00:31and beautiful, it has to be more expensive. And I've really, really felt the pressure that people

00:36have felt to tighten the belts because of that. How is it fair that people are struggling to eat?

00:42Like, this problem is so wide-stretched and it feels like it's not being listened to,

00:47and it's just getting worse. We're supposed to live in a first world country, and I think we're

00:51not realising actually how far behind we are. Our people are struggling, and nothing's been

00:57done about it. It's just been made harder and harder.
